📢 Safran Electronics & Defense has signed a distribution agreement with Aviation & Electronics Support Pte. Ltd. (AES) during MRO Asia-Pacific 2026 in Singapore. 🤝 This new partnership appoints AES as our distributor for civil helicopter products across several countries in the Asia-Pacific region, covering key solutions including Cockpit, Flight Control, Actuation and Lighting systems. 🌏 Based in Singapore, AES will strengthen our local presence to support our customers with greater proximity and responsiveness across the region. Un chiffre impressionnant… et loin d’être anodin. Pour garantir cette longévité, Elsa, ingénieur réparation, œuvre au quotidien. Elle intervient à la suite d’incidents sur les pièces : collision en vol, impact de foudre, choc lors d’une opération de maintenance… Ses principales missions ? ✏️ Identifier les réparations nécessaires et les concevoir sur mesure 🛫 Estimer la tenue de certaines pièces abîmées en nombre de cycles de vol Et concrètement ? Safran Electronics & Defense has been selected to supply its next-gen SkyNaute inertial navigation system for the electric vertical take-off and landing (eVTOL) aircraft developed by Eve Air Mobility, an Embraer subsidiary, focused on urban air mobility solutions. ➡️ SkyNaute is a hybrid inertial navigation system based on Safran’s patented HRG (hemispherical resonant gyroscope) Crystal technology. Designed to meet the most demanding requirements of aeronautical applications, this navigation system stands out for its high navigation accuracy, integrity, and proven in-service reliability. Thanks to this next-generation architecture, SkyNaute delivers high performance and robust navigation continuity, including in environments where Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) signals may be unavailable, degraded, or jammed. This capability is a key advantage for urban air mobility operations, which require high levels of safety and reliability. Initially developed to address the demanding requirements of both defense and civil aviation applications, SkyNaute technology reflects Safran’s dual-use approach to next-generation inertial navigation. Safran Electronics & Defense plans to achieve civil certification for Skynaute by early 2027. This will make it the first system to be natively certified as resilient to GNSS jamming and spoofing.  Major aircraft manufacturers, both in Europe and internationally, have already selected Skynaute for their future programs or for significant avionics upgrades of their existing platforms. [Nomination] : Declety Benjamin est nommé nouveau directeur de la Global Business Unit Avionique de Safran Electronics & Defense. Diplômé de CentraleSupélec et du Georgia Institute of Technology, Benjamin débute sa carrière en 2003 à la division avionique de Sagem (aujourd’hui Safran Electronics & Defense), en tant qu’ingénieur système sur le programme A380. Il devient ensuite chef de programme des systèmes de données embarqués, contribuant au lancement de la suite Cassiopée™. En 2013, il rejoint Hispano-Suiza (désormais Safran Transmission Systems), en charge des programmes Rolls Royce et contribue au lancement de la joint-venture Aerogearbox International. Il bascule ensuite aux achats dans la préparation du ramp up du moteur LEAP. En 2018, il intègre Safran Aircraft Engines comme directeur supply chain du support des moteurs militaires, avant d’être nommé en 2022 directeur commercial de la division, où il contribue aux campagnes export du Rafale, aux services M88 Enginelifetm et au lancement des moteurs T-REX et M30.
