The Trent 7000 continues to demonstrate its success in the market, reaching major milestones that reflect both growing customer demand and operational excellence. Powering the Airbus A330neo, the engine has achieved more than 5 million flying hours while securing over 500 aircraft orders, underlining the trust airlines place in its efficiency, reliability, and performance. Today marks the five-year anniversary of when the AUKUS agreement between Australia, the UK and USA was first announced. 18 months later it was announced that we would provide all the reactors to power the new, conventionally-armed, nuclear submarines for both UK and Australia as part of that agreement. And it’s been a busy time since then. Reactors for the first seven boats are in various stages of manufacture, we have opened two new satellite offices in Glasgow and Cardiff, our Raynesway site broke ground on new manufacturing facilities and our Submarines business has welcomed over 2,000 new colleagues into the business. We’re excited about what the next five years will bring. #AUKUS

The future of autonomous defense just took a major step forward: our mtu Series 4000 and Series 2000 marine engines have received U.S. Navy certification for autonomous naval vessel operations. Following rigorous durability and reliability testing, these engines are now qualified to power unmanned surface vessels (USVs) on missions of up to 30 days without maintenance or human intervention. This milestone underscores the growing importance of autonomous systems for enhanced fleet capacity, operational flexibility, and crew safety. We are the UK’s aerospace and nuclear champion and an engine for economic growth. We are unlocking significant future opportunities across the UK through our unique nuclear capabilities, creating high-skills jobs, helping suppliers benefit from the nation’s nuclear renaissance and opening up a potentially huge export market through our small modular reactor (SMR) venture. Rolls-Royce SMR is creating regional economic growth and strengthening the UK’s supply chain, with the announcement that Siemens Energy will manufacture key turbine system components for its power stations at Siemens’ site in Newcastle. The news will sustain more than 550 jobs and create new opportunities in Newcastle. This marks the first time such components will be produced for a small modular reactor anywhere in Europe. Rolls-Royce SMR selected Siemens Energy, a world leader in nuclear steam turbine technology, as its global turbine systems partner in February 2025, recognising the partnership’s potential to unlock UK jobs and significant manufacturing opportunities. The Siemens site will produce vital components for the Gwyndod project – located at Wylfa, on the coast of Ynys Môn (Anglesey) in North Wales – and for the growing SMR export market. Alongside its contract in the UK, Rolls-Royce SMR has been successful in every competitively tendered SMR selection process in Europe, with an additional contract in the Czech Republic and its selection to deliver plants in Sweden.
