Extremely disappointed in Owala's customer service and product quality control. I ordered an Owala FreeSip Twist directly from their website, and it arrived with a powerful, toxic chemical odor and taste embedded in the lid and spout. The chemical taste immediately leaches into the water, making it completely unsafe to use.When I submitted a warranty claim, Owala support denied it, claiming that "smells are subjective." They refused to replace the defective part or offer a refund, sending me a free shipping code instead—essentially asking me to spend more money to replace a product they sent broken.A chemical taste that prevents you from safely drinking water is a severe manufacturing flaw, not a subjective preference. Be careful buying directly from their site, as they do not stand behind their lifetime warranty when a defective batch goes out.

Waterbottle trends come and go but I can't see myself using any other bottle. The pour and straw top is perfect and I love how the mouthpiece is designed. A locking lid is a must and my Owala has never leaked. Their site is very user friendly and ordering is fast.

Scam website!! Never received anything, website looked like the original paid 50€. Don't order here. Get only AI response, never a real person!

The website was easy to navigate and there was a back to school sale allowing me to purchase at a lower cost. The original product arrived clearly damaged by the courier but after reporting the issue to the company, I had a quick and useful response with a replacement arriving in just 2 days. The swift response made me value the service and their willingness to cooperate was fantastic. I had no hassle at all with getting a replacement

I ordered Owala and I was at first excited for it. The color and the engineering of the water bottle, I was hoping maybe it would compete nicely with my yeti. Nope. Let me down even more and then, when I read they dont take refunds if the bottle isnt in its original labeling? Umm, theyll never go anywhere. Anyways. I took the water bottle out of the packaging and filled it with water and ice. Now I also previously filled my yeti a couple of hours before I received the Owala. Took it with me and shoved it in my bag. Within an hour the ice melted. I picked up my yeti and still has ice in it. Filled it again thinking maybe its just a one time thing, and left it overnight, and same thing. All the ice melted and my water is warm. Won't get this product again. I picked up my yeti this morning and the ice is still there, not as much this time, but my yeti still holds the water cold.

Pathetic website.... they never deliver your product. DOBT PURCHASE

Top heavy cup is worst. I was given one of Owala's cup with locking lid, the lock doesn't work. The lock doesn't stay locked, spilled in my leather purse. This cup is horrible, it's so top heavy, it fell over and spilled all over my computer and keyboard!

Absolutely disgusting!

Very disappointed and honestly shocked by my recent experience related to Owala.

When searching for “Owala bottle” on Google, a fraudulent website impersonating the official Owala website appeared prominently in the search results (top result). The website looked virtually identical to the real one, to the point that I had absolutely no reason to suspect it was fake.

I placed an order, only to later discover after contacting the real Owala customer service that they had no record of my order and that impersonation websites targeting their brand apparently exist.

What I find particularly concerning is that this fake website is still so visible and convincing. Not only is this damaging to consumers, but it is also damaging to Owala’s reputation. I am genuinely surprised that stronger warnings or protective measures do not appear to be in place, especially given how easily customers can be misled.

I’m posting this mainly to warn other consumers:
Please double-check the exact website URL before placing an order.

Ordered replacement straws which never arrived.

Very weak customer support, my bottles literally lost color cause they are made so cheaply, and unfortunately AI agents are telling me false information all the time. They do not have human oversight for the jobs, owala bottles feel nice, some of them at least, but they may as well be dropshipped products and I cannot recommend.

Owala UK is a fraudulent site/scam.

We have attempted for DAYS to track the order placed on the 17th of this month (7 days ago). However, instead of a direct path toward TRACKING the order, your service makes the user jump through numerous hoops without EVER getting a clear answer about the status of the order. The order is already late for a gift we were planning to give our grandson tomorrow.

What you CAN track from now on is our dissatisfaction with your "service." You'll also be able to track the number of people who look at the poor Google review I am preparing about this TERRIBLE service from your company (I often have over 10,000 readers of my reviews). When one clicks on Track the Order, the screen should go immediately to the shipper information used on that unique tracking number. I plan to expose you for the SHAM you are!

Customer service is terrible. I tried contacting them multiple times soon after placing my order to ask them to cancel it / change it, but the only replies I got were from an AI chatbot. It kept saying it would "escalate it to a member of the team", but I never heard anything.

Arrived damaged - company won't replace

Customer service is horrible.

My bottle is defective/damaged. Has a warped spot and discoloration on the lid/cap. They refuse to replace it and instead offer me a measly 25% refund. I want a replacement. I want a bottle that's what is advertised not damaged

I'm tried to upload pictures to my review on their website and it kept failing. Trying to away their website reviews to stay 5 stars. When I assure you they are not.

I love their water bottles, I think they are currently the best on the market!

Owala send bottles from the UK but only allow returns to go to the USA. Customs and postage are over 30.00 to return. It is a scam to prevent customers being able to return bottles.

Purchased replacement covers from "owalalifeuk" it's a SCAM!!!!!! stay away from it (which is really surprising given the way website is presented). Never received the goods it's been nearly 40 days, had to open the dispute with the credit card. They don't respond to emails, the tracking number it's seems like it's fake aswell, it feels like someone just types in some bogus messages, to create an Illusion that it's still arriving. They pose themselves as UK website but goods allegedly comes from China.

I have never felt so dissapointed to any brand but you. I live in Sweden. Order number #1QF-bb12272-fn646 and with Tracking Number: HMG HG1000469142DH.

I asked customer service what is your shipping partner in sweden after you dispatched your bottle from CHINA. They didn't answer my mail.

On 21 November 2025, I got the notification that my bottles had been delivered. Both my post box and my entrance with a full security camera were empty. Nothing is coming from you. I emailed customer service again and asked where all the items were sent, because I never received them at my home adress (i have CCTV camera recording as a proof ;) ).
Whoever think about purchasing this from owalalife online shop. Please think twice.

I bet this would be good but unfortunately I can't accept the terms and conditions. I have recently been scammed by another website when I tried to buy the elphaba and glinda owalas for me and my friend. We got a lot of spam calls and people are trying to take money. I know I am not talking about this website but this is a warning. NEVER SHOP ON UK OWALA SHOPS

Also, when I finally accepted the policy on this website, the wicked collaboration is NOT AVAILABLE IN THE UK LIKE MAKE THIS MORE ACCESSIBLE FOR PEOPLE IN DIFFERENT COUNTRIES TO AMERICA

f-up customer service. I emailed them to cancel my order just 30min after I placed the order. Their answer "we'll do our best to cancel your order... now we'll pass this to human operator to handle..." Since this message, no message was received next 3days, and then the item was shipped. I had to pay shipping both ways . Is this 18th century???
