The worst car rent ever
Instructions according which was impossible to locate the car on check-in, rude worker, delayed handover of the car, terrible communication.

Évitez cette agence! Nous sommes passés par Rentalcars pour une prise en charge de la voiture à la gare de Helsinki et un retour à l'aéroport. Lors de la prise de contact la veille, nous étions surpris d'apprendre qu'il n'y avait pas d'agence sur place mais qu'un rendez-vous précis (30 minutes de marge) sur un parking était prévu. La communication par e-mail avec Pavel était très fluide et courtoise. Avant la rencontre, et compte tenu des avis désastreux, nous avions bien relu les termes du contrat Rentalcars. La voiture est arrivée à l'heure et notre interlocuteur commence par nous demander de payer 30 euros !!!
Après explication, il s'agirait de "frais divers - Si cela s'applique à vous, le coût est de.. 30 euros maximum par location". Frais divers de quoi ? Le contrat stipulait de la gare à l'aéroport.
Nous avons refusé de payer et heureusement Rentalcars a pu annuler notre réservation...

Its a Con! Stay clear. Lost my money on booking and they dont answer the number they provide on the contact details.

We needed a car for a few days from Helsinki Airport and I found the usual car rental agencies to be much too expensive. I hadn't used Firent before so I was a bit cautious, but they had a good price and also offered a hybrid which I was looking to try out, so I thought I'd go with them.

Instead of a desk in the airport, Firent have some spaces in the P3B car park and someone comes to meet you at arrivals. We arrived a bit earlier than expected but Pavel was happy to meet us early in the car park rather than the arrivals hall. The handover was very quick and efficient and answered all my questions. The car itself was in great condition and a pleasure to drive.

Drop off was really easy too - just parked in the P3 car park and put the keys in the box. No need to wait for anyone, which was convenient for us as we were running short on time by the time we arrived. We used the car normally, and the exterior was a bit dirty when we dropped it off (which is normal on Finnish roads) but we haven't been charged any extra fees.

All in all, highly recommended and look forward to using Firent again.

Excellent service, very helpful and accomodating. Changed my pick up and drop off times at no extra cost. Will definitely use again. Not sure if this is West and Vantaa, I picked up my car in Helsinki.

Due to Corona situation I had to stay longer in Finland and extended the car rental period. In total I rented for 4 months. Initially the car had winter tyres and they told me to come from Pori to Helsinki (600km both ways!!) to get the tyres changed to summer tyres.

After returning the car last month my contact person (Pavel Galagan) charged me 150€ extra for a so-called "car cleaning". It is correct that there were a few spots on the seats (mainly from hand sanitizers dropped by my child on the seats) that could easily be cleaned by wiping it with a wet towel. If I knew that he would make it such a problem, I would have cleaned it myself. With other rental companies I never had to worry about cleaning! The weird and shady part is that this man saw me bringing in the car at the airport while I was refueling the car but he refused to come to do the final check in person. Instead I had to park the car and drop the key in a Van parked nearby. And days later he sends me an extra invoice charging me 150€ and calls it interior damage!

I have sent the company an email and requested a refund. Since it's a franchise I believe that this person has handled on it's own and not on behalf of the company. So I am patiently waiting and seeing how they'll deal with this issue. I'll update my review as soon as I get a reply.

So far I wouldn't advice anybody to rent from this company. Also because I see another person's review with a similar experience. I wouldn't give this company any star if it were possible, but unfortunately I have to give at least 1 star.
