🔌⚡ A journey through the past, present and future of electricity. Today, the King of Spain joined our Executive Chairman, Ignacio Galán, to inaugurate 'An Electrifying Journey: The Iberdrola Immersive Experience', an exhibition celebrating the 125-year history of our company in Spain. During the visit, King Felipe VI explored the technological breakthroughs that have transformed the way we generate, distribute and use electricity, as well as the innovations that will drive electrification in the decades ahead. The exhibition, which will be open to the public until 20 October at Madrid’s Cibeles Palace, forms part of #125YearsOfLight, the programme through which we are sharing our heritage and our contribution to economic, industrial and social development through electrification. A unique experience showcasing how innovation and electricity have shaped our world and will continue to play a vital role in building a better future for all 🙌.

✅ Challenge completed! We have successfully completed the transformation of Valencia’s electricity grid, Spain. This extraordinary effort has enabled us to redesign and strengthen key electrical infrastructure following the severe damage caused by the devastating DANA floods two years ago. ⚡ With an investment of €100 million and the dedication of more than 1,000 professionals, we have modernised critical infrastructure that will support the region’s future development in an increasingly electrified economy. 🔊 Our Executive Chairman, Ignacio Galán, paid tribute to all those affected by one of the most devastating natural disasters Spain has experienced this century. He also reaffirmed our commitment to developing robust electricity networks that incorporate the latest digital technologies and help drive electrification forward. Together, we are building a stronger, more resilient grid for the future🔌.

🔌 Advancing grid modernization in New York. Avangrid has completed the upgrade of the Fraser substation in Delhi, New York. 😎 Impossible? Just wait... This is how we transport wind turbine blades through challenging terrain. Thanks to the Blade Lifter, an innovative technology that not only raises blades to an almost vertical position, but also helps minimize environmental impact during transportation. 🏗️ We’re in Spain, where the Labraza wind farm in the Basque Country is in its final stage of construction. ⚡ With 40 MW of capacity, the project will generate enough clean energy to power 30,000 homes and avoid the emission of 16,300 tonnes of CO₂ every year. Innovation is helping us drive electrification forward 🌍.

🌬️♻️ A second life for clean energy! We have recycled 99.9% of the turbines from the former Hagshaw Hill wind farm in Scotland. ScottishPower Renewables has demonstrated that repowering wind farms not only delivers more clean energy, but also supports the circular economy and creates new employment opportunities. 👉 Following the decommissioning of Hagshaw Hill, Scotland’s first commercial wind farm, 99.9% of the materials from its 26 wind turbines have been reused or recycled. 👉 The original turbines have been replaced by a new, more efficient generation, increasing the site's capacity to 80 MW, enough to power the equivalent of 57,000 homes. 👉 Projects like this also help drive new industrial activities linked to recycling, component reuse and the modernisation of renewable energy infrastructure.
