Europe is entering a decisive phase for its energy system, in which competitiveness, security, and industrial strength are becoming central to the debate. At EDP, we believe this moment requires more than ambition. It calls for clarity of direction, consistency in execution and an active role in the conversations shaping the future. In that context, #GlobalWindDay is more than a symbolic moment. It is a reminder that wind is not only measured in gigawatts, but in its ability to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness, resilience and long-term security. Today, we are launching #EDPEurope on LinkedIn, a platform to bring together context, perspective and leadership around Europe’s energy agenda. Through this channel, we aim to contribute to key industry and policy discussions, reflect our presence across European markets and support a more informed and constructive dialogue. 💪 1Q26 Results: Resilience built into the portfolio In the first quarter of 2026, EDP Renewables continued to deliver with discipline and operational focus, navigating a more challenging price environment while reinforcing the resilience of its portfolio. Electricity generation increased by 3% YoY to 11.3 TWh, supported by higher average installed capacity and solid operational performance across geographies. Renewable resources stood in line with the long‑term average, reflecting the benefits of scale and diversification, particularly in Europe and North America. Recurring EBITDA reached €489 million (+2% YoY), or +10% excluding foreign exchange effects, supported by portfolio expansion and a continued focus on efficiency. At the same time, recurring core operating costs declined by 11% YoY, reflecting the impact of ongoing cost‑control initiatives and operational discipline. Despite lower average selling prices, particularly in Europe, recurring net profit increased by 9% YoY to €71 million, underlining the strength of EDPR’s low‑risk, diversified, and largely contracted portfolio. We move forward into the remainder of 2026 with clear visibility on execution, supported by a strong asset base, disciplined capital allocation and a strategy focused on stable markets, long‑term partnerships and sustainable value creation, fully aligned with our 2026–28 Business Plan. 👉 Access the 1Q26 Results Presentation for detailed financial and operational information: https://lnkd.in/eNC9p7E7

🔑 WindEurope 2026 made one thing unmistakably clear: Europe’s energy and industrial ambitions now depend on moving faster from debate to delivery. Against a backdrop of heightened geopolitical pressure and growing concerns about affordability and competitiveness, discussions in Madrid converged on a clear priority for Europe: accelerating the electrification of the economy based on renewables, supported by stable policy frameworks, strong grids, and long‑term investment confidence. As an ambassador of WindEurope 2026, Miguel Stilwell d'Andrade, CEO of EDP Group, spoke at the Ministerial Panel I, setting the scene for Europe’s response to energy security and affordability. Duarte Bello, CEO of EDP Europe, took an active role in the Ministerial Panel II on industrial policy and electrification, focusing on the practical conditions needed to turn electrification into a competitive advantage for European industry. Alongside this leadership presence, EDP was represented across the program by leaders and experts, including Rocío Sicre, Rocío García Álvarez, Raquel Marques Mendes, Rafael Solís, PhD, Ana Júlia Pinto, and Ricardo Rodrigues, engaging on grids, industrial electrification, regulatory and market frameworks, system resilience, and investment conditions. Europe has the resources, the technology, and the industrial base to move faster. The priority now is delivery, through credible, system‑ready execution. #WindEurope2026

🕊️Storks’ migration, seen through nature’s eyes What happens when technology helps us better understand nature instead of simply observing it from afar? For the first time in the world, white storks are contributing directly to scientific research on migration, using GPS transmitters equipped with cameras that capture images throughout their journey. These unique visuals provide researchers with valuable context on habitats, landscapes, and behaviors along thousands of kilometers, going beyond traditional tracking data and supporting more informed biodiversity protection efforts. Led by the Uniwersytet Przyrodniczy w Poznaniu and supported by EDP in Poland, this project reflects how we approach biodiversity: by supporting scientific knowledge and integrating nature into the design, construction, and operation of renewable energy projects. Across our portfolio, biodiversity risk assessments and action plans are part of how we work, applying nature‑positive solutions and contributing to the protection of ecosystems wherever we operate. ▶️ Watch the video and see migration through nature’s eyes: https://lnkd.in/dbg4mJkm

🌞 Solar as a strategic asset for Europe’s energy system Geopolitical uncertainty and increasing regulatory complexity continue to shape Europe’s energy landscape. In this context, solar stands out as a clean, affordable, and scalable solution with a clear role in supporting Europe’s energy security. As an active member of SolarPower Europe, EDP works closely with industry partners to strengthen Europe’s renewable development. Recently, Duarte Bello, CEO of EDP Europe, took part in the SolarPower Europe CEO Forum alongside leaders from across the sector, endorsing a joint statement reaffirming a shared commitment to advancing a strong and competitive European energy system, with solar playing a central role. Today, we support the public awareness campaign “Be part of a bright today”, which highlights how this technology is already delivering tangible benefits across Europe and why continued investment in solutions delivering system‑level benefits remains essential for long‑term resilience.
