Company withholding my deposit of…
Company withholding my deposit of €2000, after being told I would get it back mid July and then being told I have to wait until 31st of July. Please bear in mind this money was sent through bank transfer and is meant to be given back through bank transfer so there is no reason for the delay.
I am waiting on responses through WhatsApp and email and haven’t heard anything. These people will take money off you, not answer and not return the money.
I have kept emails of them stating my money will be returned 31st of July, but of course no money and responses over email.
This company was found on booking.com so be aware.

Loved the location of this villa in a quiet, gated community in Nueva Andalucia. They even hooked us up with silent disco equipment, which was a nice touch. Would definitely book again.

Stayed in a beautiful Lodgerstrip villa in Marbella with friends, and it was stunning way better than the pictures! The villa had such a great atmosphere for chilling, and the staff were really nice.

Absolutely disgraceful experience
Absolutely disgraceful experience. I booked this villa in Marbella almost a year in advance and had regular contact with the hosts throughout the booking, only for the reservation to be cancelled less than 48 hours before arrival with the excuse that the property was “temporarily closed.”
Shortly afterwards, the exact same villa was relisted and available for the same dates at nearly triple the price I originally paid. It is very difficult not to see this as a deliberate cancellation purely to make more money from another booking.
This left us scrambling for accommodation at the last minute after flights and travel plans had already been arranged. No suitable alternative was offered and the entire situation caused unnecessary stress and expense.
Don’t book here. Confirmed reservations clearly mean nothing if the host thinks they can make more money elsewhere.

This booking was made through Booking.com and not directly with us. As soon as we received the information from the property owner about the issue with the villa, we immediately informed Booking.com so the situation could be communicated as quickly as possible.
We completely understand your frustration and we are truly sorry for how stressful this became, especially so close to your arrival date after planning the trip so far in advance.
The cancellation was not made to resell the villa at a higher price. The owner informed us of a last-minute problem with the property and we could not responsibly host guests there under those conditions.
Our team genuinely tried to help by searching for alternative villas, especially during a very busy period in Marbella where availability was limited. We understand the options offered were not suitable for your group, and we respect that.
Your refund has been processed in full and compensation was also provided as a gesture of goodwill from booking for the inconvenience caused.
Again, we are sorry the experience turned out this way and we sincerely wish you and your group the best moving forward.
Gorgeous villa with a few minor issues!
I recently stayed in one of their villas in Marbella. Although this isn't always the case, the location itself was breathtaking and matched the pictures. During check-in, there were a few small problems, but they were resolved rather quickly.

My partner and I spent the final week…
My partner and I spent the final week of December in Lanzarote. Sunshine and peace were what we were primarily searching for, and we found both. We cooked a few nights rather than eating out because the kitchen was better equipped than we were expecting. It was easy to communicate and not intrusive. From reservation to departure, everything proceeded without any problems.

Please stay away from this company. They are a scam. We had the most horrible experience i marbella on a family vacation. Handed the house DIRTY, and after a lot of sketchiness and lies, they promised us a reimbursement and i am still waiting for it. Last email i received from them was more than 6 months ago and haven’t received the reimbursement. Stay away pls. I don’t want anyone experience what we did with kids.

To clarify for future readers, this villa is professionally managed on-site by a local management company, who handled check-in, cleaning, maintenance, and guest support directly throughout the stay. During your visit, additional cleanings were arranged in response to your concerns, and the stay was completed in full. Your refundable security deposit was also returned after check-out in line with the agreed terms.
Regarding the reimbursement mentioned, the request relates to a claim beyond the standard rental terms and is subject to review and approval by the property’s managing agency. We have formally raised this with them and are still awaiting their position, as final decisions in such cases rest with the property management and owner.
We take all guest feedback seriously and always aim to act as a transparent intermediary between guests and property managers. We regret that this matter remains unresolved at this stage and remain open to continuing discussions once the managing agency provides their response.

Our original villa in Lanzarote was cancelled shortly before arrival due to unexpected damage, which was initially stressful. However, Lodgerstrip immediately upgraded us to a better villa at no extra cost. The replacement exceeded our expectations, and we had a great holiday. Last summer we traveled to Marbella and rented a villa through Lodgerstrip for our holiday. We paid the full amount in advance – €9,250.
One day before our trip, we were informed that we would no longer be able to stay in the villa we had booked. As an alternative, they offered us a different villa and promised a €1,000 refund as compensation.
What makes this even more frustrating is that the alternative villa could have been rented on Airbnb for around €6,000, meaning we effectively paid about €8,250 for something worth much less.
To this day, we have still not received any refund, only repeated promises and excuses.
The most unbelievable part is that after all this, the company acts offended and tries to present themselves as the victim, even attempting to have negative reviews removed — while they have still failed to return our money. It has now been almost half a year without any repayment.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. Be very careful when booking and paying large amounts in advance.

Before considering this place, it is strongly advised to understand a potential risk of losing your vacation, as well as your money, and instead of getting your refund, only keep receiving unfulfilled endless promises for repayment…
Just one day prior to our arrival, they advised us about cancelling our booking with the reasoning that as they suffered a misconduct in their property by a previos rental group, they can not provide our already prepaid and booked accommodation.
Following this last minute cancellation on their behalf, they sent us an email claiming that a full refund had been issued and we would receive the money within 10 days. They even sent us the proof of the bank transfer, but the 9250€ refund has never arrived until now, i.e January 2026, so already 5 months have passed since the cancellation, without their repayment. They keep reasoning the non-fulfillment of the refund promises sometimes with technical banking issues that disabled them to transfer the money, another time with their operating cash-flow shortages, and so on, repeatedly promising new deadlines for the refund, which they never keep, then coming up with another excuse and another deadline, but the hard fact is that almost half a year has gone and up until now we still have not received back our money.
So if you consider this place, be very careful.

Our crew booked a villa through this company and prepaid the entire 10 000 euros in advance. The owner cancelled our reservation the day before our arrival and to this day they have not paid us back (it’s been 5 months) despite us contacting them multiple times. Boeking werd geannuleerd 1 dag voor vertrek. De communicatie was compleet waardeloos.
Blijkbaar is mijn boeking k in de klantenadministratie van Lodgerstrip niet terug te vinden, daarom hieronder een deel van de mail die ik de dag voor ons vertrek mocht ontvangen, enkele uren voordien had iemand van Lodgerstrip mij nog gebeld dat ik het bedrag voor de kuisploeg nog diende over te schrijven.
Niet alleen de communicatie maar ook de administratie is kompleet waardeloos.

Dank u wel voor uw feedback. Het spijt ons oprecht dat u dit zo heeft ervaren, zeker omdat dit één dag voor vertrek gebeurde en dat uiteraard veel stress en frustratie veroorzaakt.
Omdat de reservering via een extern boekingsplatform werd gemaakt, ontvangen wij niet altijd automatisch alle gegevens en betalingen rechtstreeks in ons eigen systeem. Daarom hebben wij extra informatie opgevraagd om uw boeking correct te kunnen verifiëren en u zo snel mogelijk verder te helpen.
Wat betreft de communicatie: we begrijpen dat dit voor u verwarrend en teleurstellend is geweest. We willen ook benadrukken dat er op het oorspronkelijk geboekte verblijf last-minute schade is vastgesteld aan de toiletaansluiting, waardoor het helaas niet meer mogelijk was om u daar veilig en correct te ontvangen. Om uw vakantie zo goed mogelijk te beschermen, hebben wij meteen een alternatief verblijf voor u geregeld.
We vinden het jammer dat het vertrouwen hierdoor is aangetast, zeker door het gebruik van het woord “scam”, aangezien wij altijd transparant en oplossingsgericht handelen.
