That shift is already reshaping fintech, and it’s one of the conversations Seed Capital is bringing to Nordic Fintech Week this year. Together with BlackFin Capital Partners, Seed Capital is co-hosting the investor roundtable: Beyond SaaS: AI Agents Restructuring Fintech The session will bring together investors, founders and operators to explore some of the questions now defining the next wave of fintech: 💡 Which problems are AI agents genuinely solving today? 💡 How much autonomy is realistic - and where do the limits sit? 💡 As foundation models become more capable, where will lasting value be created? Fintech is moving beyond traditional software toward systems that can increasingly act, decide and execute on behalf of users. That creates huge opportunities but also new questions around business models, differentiation and where defensible value will ultimately sit. Beyond the roundtable, Chris Porsgaard from Seed Capital will also take part in a Nordic Fintech Week panel, adding another perspective to the broader conversation around where fintech is heading next. I’m happy to announce a big milestone for Trifork: Our partnership with Verdane concerning a portfolio of growth-stage investments in Trifork Labs, and our intention to expand the collaboration in the future. It’s been a pleasure spending so much time with the Verdane team ever since I stepped into their office a year ago to propose working together with Trifork. Thank you Emanuel Johnsson, Johan Gren, Gustav Friberg, Morten Weicher and many more. I’m convinced about the strong match between Trifork, Verdane, and the portfolio companies. Trifork Labs’ expertise is building and identifying companies from an early stage; Verdane then helps scale them globally with significant investment capacity, tech expertise, and scaleup experience. With this transaction, Trifork receives in cash the equivalent to the entire invested capital in Trifork Labs. The remaining portfolio value represents pure unrealized profit and further upside, in addition to the earnouts in this transaction. Importantly, the partial portfolio sale is priced above its corresponding book value, and we get a majority of the total Labs book value validated by this one transaction alone. We also propose a 3.00 DKK/share extra dividend to Trifork’s shareholders (in addition to the ongoing share buyback), subject to legal completion of the transaction. If all goes to plan, we will return around EUR 18m to our shareholders from decisions in 2026 (so far), corresponding to 6.5% of the current market cap (even after the +20% YTD share price performance). Allocating capital to the core business, M&A, and shareholder returns remains our focus in Trifork. With a very strong balance sheet, almost free of net debt before the dividend payout (Q1 + deal). In the spirit of the World Cup - we are playing high-pressure offense in the coming years with product-led growth a key priority, especially around AI and European data sovereignty with our market leading data centre and cloud operations offering. Working intensely through late nights, weekends, a birthday, and cancelled summer vacations on a complex portfolio transaction has actually been fun and highly rewarding (less so for my understanding wife), but it would not have been possible without the superb guidance and support from Nikolaj Bak-Christensen, Nadia Vinther + team from DreistStorgaard, and on Verdane’s side, Kromann Reumert’s great sparring. I’m proud of how we as a team lifted the transaction: Thank you Kristian, Jørn, Chresten, Christof, Charmaine, Mette, Lasse, and our Board for your sparring. Now we will work over summer towards the completion of the deal. We also announced the intention to exit or distribute further assets in our investment portfolio, which is expected to drive substantial value releases to both Trifork and our shareholders in the coming years. Swedish cybersecurity startup Oplane has raised €4.5 million in seed funding to help engineering teams manage security risks emerging from AI-powered software development.
