Verdane internship recruitment is open!   We’re looking for investment interns to join our teams across Verdane’s European offices, starting in January.   We spoke to Ailin Andersen about her experience as an intern, what she learned along the way and her decision to continue her career with Verdane.   Ailin said: "My internship at Verdane was a great opportunity to get hands-on experience in private equity. I was staffed on a live deal almost immediately, given real responsibility and encouraged to contribute from the start. Verdane has partnered with Xpansiv to support its acquisition strategy, continuing the company’s expansion into new products, asset classes and geographies.   Xpansiv provides the registries, marketplaces and data that underpin energy and environmental commodity markets worldwide, processing approximately one billion transactions annually. Last Thursday Verdane Elevate brought together commercial leaders from across our portfolio for Go-to-Market (GTM) Day 2026 in Stockholm.   Under the theme "Cut the Noise, Grow Smarter", the day focused on moving beyond the AI hype and looking at what is actually working across Sales, Marketing and Customer Success today.   The agenda combined real portfolio company cases with external perspectives, hands on sessions and peer discussions. Exploring everything from where AI is already delivering measurable impact to the challenges of moving from experimentation to implementation.   Just as importantly, GTM Day created space for leaders across the portfolio to compare experiences, share what they have learned and discuss the challenges they are navigating right now.   Thank you to everyone who joined us and contributed so openly throughout the day. We are pleased to share that Christina Stoll, Principal at Verdane, has been named one of Real Deals’ Midmarket Future Leaders 2026. The list recognises emerging leaders across the private equity industry. Christina joined Verdane’s investment team in 2022 and focuses on consumer technology investments across Europe. Since joining Verdane, she has played a central role in several of the firm’s investments and transactions, including leading Verdane’s investment in Clue and playing a key role in the transaction involving Urban Sports Club and Wellhub. As a board member at Eversports, Christina also works closely with the company on its continued growth and development.  Alongside her investment work, Christina is a driving force behind Verdane’s diversity and inclusion efforts, including initiatives focused on advancing female talent across the firm.  Congratulations Christina on this well-deserved recognition.

Recently, Verdane Partner Staffan Mörndal spoke to Shifter.no about Verdane’s approach to technology investing as the landscape continues to evolve with AI. Staffan Mörndal, Partner at Verdane, said: "It can be difficult to assess AI risk. We continue to invest in software companies, but are looking for technology companies with a physical component." The interview follows Verdane’s recent partnership with Telenor in Telenor Connexion and highlights Verdane’s focus on technology businesses that combine software with a physical component, which can offer greater defensibility as technology evolves.
