Benedikt Bürig reacted on thisBenedikt Bürig reacted on thisAfter 7 years, it’s time to say goodbye to Pleo ♥️ It’s been a huge part of my life over the past few years and I’m leaving feeling so proud of everything we’ve built and the people I’ve had the chance to do it with. I joined when we were a very different company, and it’s been special to see how far we’ve come through multiple funding rounds, new offices, growing teams and everything that came with scaling so quickly. There’s been a lot of change along the way, including a stint living in Copenhagen! 🇩🇰 I’ve gone from being part of a very small CS team with very little structure, to helping build teams from scratch, hiring so many amazing people and creating new ways of working as we scaled. I’ve taken on challenges I didn’t always feel ready for, and learned a lot along the way. More than anything, I’m grateful for the people I’ve worked with, many of whom have become lifelong friends! And then there are all the memories outside of the day job: team camps, *questionable* acting in Pleo ads, trips, dinners, celebrations, and somehow getting my grandad involved in Pleo promo videos 😂 Thank you to everyone who has made the last 7 years what they’ve been. There are too many people to tag, but you know who you are, and I’ll definitely be staying in touch! Now onto the next chapter… starting Monday next week! 🚀

Benedikt Bürig liked thisBenedikt Bürig liked thisWe put leaders from VEED, Lovable, ElevenLabs and VibeSell in a room and asked what's actually changed in go-to-market since AI got good. Like, actually, good. They agreed on where AI is doing the heavy lifting. They disagreed on almost everything else. Four things worth taking with you: 👾 Personalisation beats automation. Katya Kladkova (Lovable) won't let AI write her sales emails. Her logic: "why do I deserve a reply if I didn't take the time to write to you?" 👾 Showing up still wins deals. Joel de la Fuente (VibeSell) gets on a plane for serious prospects, because turning up in person is one of the few things a competitor can't automate around. 👾 Hire for agency, not a script. Sunny Shih (ElevenLabs) put it plainly: "the people who thrive in GTM right now are resourceful, thick-skinned, and won't take no for an answer." 👾 Our own Joséphine Parquet, on how easy building has become: "the initial MVP is very easy, but making something that grows and meets enterprise standards is still really, really hard." Stay tuned for the next event!

Benedikt Bürig liked thisBenedikt Bürig liked thisThat's PRYPCO on the halo of an F1 car at the inaugural Madring circuit, going round Madrid at 340kph last weekend (in comments). Congratulations to Max Verstappen for finishing 2nd and to Liam Lawson for finishing 6th and to the entire Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology team. Not bad for a lucky charm! ;) A few years ago we were a small team in Dubai trying to convince people that investing in Dubai real estate could start at a few thousand dirhams instead of a few million. Now, we're the first PropTech from the Middle East to put its name on a Formula 1 car. We will just leave that there! I've been a big fan of Red Bull’s work as a globally recognised brand for years, long before any of this. Not just the drink, but the machine and the system around it. They built two F1 teams, a football club, a cliff diving series, and sent a man to jump from the edge of space. The can barely gets a mention. They went and built the thing people wanted to watch, and the brand travelled with it. If you're trying to build something out of Dubai that gets recognised in London, Singapore, Riyadh and Mumbai, that's the lesson. You can't just get there by explaining tokenisation more clearly than the next platform. You get there by turning up where the world is already looking. And then there's Max… In 1990, Jackie Stewart sat Senna down and asked him why he kept colliding with people. Senna said: “if you no longer go for a gap that exists, you are no longer a racing driver.” 3 decades later it's still the most quoted sentence in the sport, and Max is the closest thing we have to someone who races like he meant it literally. In our film, Max puts it his own way. The gap is there for a tenth of a second. Either you take it or you miss it. When the Dubai Land Department opened the door to tokenised property, we weren't starting. We'd been building for two years. The important thing is being ready. Our team released the film with Max today. Go watch that one. The video here is the view from where I was standing, behind the crew, back in June. Huge respect to the team who pulled this off, to Oracle Red Bull Racing for having us, and to DAMAC Properties for their support as always! Baku on the 26th. Same car, same halo. #OracleRedBullRacing #Formula1 #InvestingInDubai #PropTech #Tokenisation

Benedikt Bürig liked thisBenedikt Bürig liked thisToday is a biiig day for us ❤️🔥 We just announced that we flipped our company back to Europe 🇪🇺 When our founders joined Y Combinator, they had to incorporate in one of the jurisdictions supported by YC. Germany wasn't one of them, so they set up a Delaware C-Corp with a German subsidiary. That was the right setup joining YC with big ambitions. But three years later, Langdock looks very different. The team has grown, our customer base has grown, and so has our ambition. So earlier this year, we started the process of restructuring the company into a Societas Europaea registered in Germany. It took around nine months, dozens of lawyers and auditors, all of our shareholders and a truly impressive amount of patience. But we kept coming back to the same thing: If we believe that it is possible to build one of the biggest technology companies from Europe, then our company should reflect that belief too. Huge shoutout to everyone who made this happen, especially the people who worked through all the incredibly unglamorous details behind the scenes. Very excited to be part of this next chapter at Langdock 🫶🏼

Benedikt Bürig liked thisBenedikt Bürig liked thisWe raised $800k for Behold, which feels pretty damn tremendous. When I left Pleo a couple of years ago, I had a few people offer to invest if I wanted to go and build "some kind of AI/SaaS/fintech thing". There wasn’t really a product. Barely even an idea. In retrospect I’m not sure anyone was particularly bothered what it actually was. Then I decided to build hardware. For nature. That has been a rather different experience. Enough hardware startups have gone wrong spectacularly that investors are understandably wary. And Behold doesn’t exactly make itself easy to categorise either: consumer hardware, software, AI, ecology, entertainment, citizen science and, eventually, we hope, a pretty enormous (and useful) wildlife dataset. Not the neatest thing to fit in a box. (Actually, we do have a very nice box, but that's a story for another time). We met a lot of investors along the way and basically every single one said they wanted a Behold Cam-1 for themselves. Most even bought one. Which made one of the most common reasons for passing on investment increasingly odd: “We’re just not sure there’s a market for this.” For a while, our most consistently demonstrated market seemed to be investors who wanted to buy a Behold Cam-1 but didn’t want to invest in Behold. Seemingly a sizeable market. Fundraising for this kind of company has definitely made us feel like the awkward one in the room. At first, frustrating, but weirdly, we've come to start liking it. We've just kept building. Thousands of people backed us, we put together an absurdly good little team, and now a group of people have taken a real bet on what Behold could become. I’m enormously grateful to them. A couple of years ago I had absolutely no business building hardware. Now, apparently, I’m a hardware founder. I’m excited, terrified, proud, uncertain. I f**king love it.

Benedikt Bürig liked thisBenedikt Bürig liked thisBREAKING: Langdock has switched from a from a US Inc. to a European company! 🇪🇺 AND THE COMPANY HAS SURPASSED €50m ARR This is one of the first times I've seen this happen. Usually it goes the other way - European companies "flip" their legal top co from a European one to a US one. Langdock has done the reverse. In its annoucement the company has said: "We believe one of the world's great technology companies can be built here. One that helps people shape the future of their work with confidence. We're putting our ambition, our work and our company's legal home behind that belief. With ambition, Langdock SE" This is HUGE. I hope this inspires many more great European companies to do the same. The company is building the all-in one platform to adopt AI as an organisation and they are FLYING. They also announced surpassing €50m ARR, as well as releasing a suite of new products: 🔥 Langdock Apps - build internal apps and share them with your team 🔥 Langdock Code - a model-agnostic AI code editor 🔥 Langdock Cloud - inference, sandboxes, and much more, powered by compute built by us on European soil LETS GO 🇪🇺 Sign up to my newsletter to stay up to date with all things european tech: https://lnkd.in/eH5_y5aq

WE JUST HIT 600 PAYING CUSTOMERS WITH ONLY 2 EMPLOYEES A year ago we had around 150. Two regular guys from Sweden building Fibbler, an attribution tool for paid ads in the SMB segment. Completely self-serve and 50% of our customer base is in the US at this point. For a long time our entire go-to-market was me posting on LinkedIn and running thought leader ads. And it worked. But it also meant that every time a post flopped, I could see the numbers dip. Every week where I didn’t have a good content idea felt like I was letting the company down. So late 2025 into early 2026 we started layering on new tactics. YouTube. SEO. Creator programs. Outbound emails. For the first time growth isn’t just tied to me being in the feed every day. I can’t describe how much lighter that feels. The other thing we didn’t expect: companies with 200-500 employees are now our fastest growing segment. We built Fibbler for individual marketers like myself. The person who just wants to swipe their card and prove that paid ads actually work at their startup. Turns out the same problem exists at larger SMBs too. They just didn’t have an alternative between “do it manually in spreadsheets” and “pay five to six figures for an enterprise tool.” So now we’re at 600 paying customers. Still two full-time employees. Still fully bootstrapped. Still working from a small town in Sweden. We have a very clear vision of where we want to take this. To build the future of paid ads attribution for SMBs. And honestly, this is the most fun I've ever had at work. P.S. Fibbler shows which companies view or engage with your ads, ties them to pipeline and revenue in your CRM, and alerts sales when it’s time to reach out. Most brands try to lower CAC by tweaking bids and budgets. But that’s rarely where the real leverage is. In my experience scaling e-commerce brands, new customer ROAS is mostly structural. There are 4 levers that actually move CAC — and most brands are only using one or two of them. 1️⃣ Partnership & whitelisting ads (at scale) When you run ads through creators whose audience already buys at your price point, you skip the entire trust-building phase. Lower friction = lower CAC. Each creator also unlocks a new micro-audience Meta couldn’t reach through your brand page alone. And you’re feeding the algorithm more signals. >>> Action point: Run ppartnership ads with bigger creators on your local market that already have your potential audience. 2️⃣ Different creative formats Meta doesn’t just read text. It reads visual patterns. If you only run one type of creative, you’re forcing all buyers through one narrow door. Different formats attract different buyers: - Listicles - Founder storytelling - Lifestyle content - Product breakdowns - Problem/solution creatives Each format opens a new audience pool. >>> Action point: Make sure to introduce 1-3 creative formats on the bi-weekly basis 3️⃣ Different personas Same creative. Different message. A dad, a gym guy, and a 45-year-old executive buy the same product for completely different reasons. The angle of the ad determines who Meta shows it to. >>> Action point: Go beyond messaging - use creators, voiceovers, and adopted landing pages to the personas 4️⃣ Upper funnel exposure Reach campaigns don’t drive purchases directly. But they pre-warm the market. When someone has seen your brand 3–5 times before the conversion ad appears, your CAC drops dramatically. >>> Action point: Run 5-15% of the total budget on campaigns that exclude buyers, visitors and engagers These force Meta to actually hunt for new customers. (But don’t assume Meta follows this perfectly.) The real mechanism behind all 4 levers: They expand your total addressable audience. More qualified prospects → cheaper new customer acquisition. If you’re only running: • broad campaigns • one creative format • one angle You’re leaving a lot of efficiency on the table. Curious how other brands structure their acquisition: Which of these levers has had the biggest impact on your CAC?

Clicks feel like progress. But clicks don’t build brands. You can drive traffic all day—ads, SEO, social. If there’s no connection behind it, it disappears just as fast. A click is curiosity. A brand is trust. And trust is built when: – Your message is consistent across every touchpoint – Your audience knows exactly what you stand for – Your experience matches what you promise – People remember you after they leave High click-through rates can look impressive. But they don’t tell you if anyone cares. If your strategy stops at the click, you’re renting attention. Not building anything that lasts. The goal isn’t more traffic. It’s more meaning behind the traffic. That’s what compounds. #BrandStrategy #MarketingStrategy #Entrepreneurship #DigitalMarketing #CustomerExperience #SmallGiant

Google Ads is slowly turning into more than an ad platform. this week alone, Google: - pushed creative generation further into the interface, - expanded shop-level visibility in Shopping, - added more compliance friction, - and exposed how fragile the UI can still be. the biggest change for me is the creative side. you can now generate or edit product visuals inside Google Ads with prompts. that shortens the distance between idea and launch. for smaller teams, that is genuinely useful. but the broader shift matters more.... Google wants advertisers creating assets, shaping merchandising, handling policy, and monitoring performance inside one system. sounds efficient... right? it also means more power sits inside the platform itself. we’ll test the built-in creative tools for speed. we still won’t outsource judgment to Google. report below breaks down the main updates and what they actually mean. my view: Google Ads is getting more capable, but also more opinionated. better for sharp operators. harder for anyone running on autopilot. do you see that as progress, or more black box behaviour?

TikTok isn’t just for discovery anymore—it’s becoming a search engine. With search ads now in testing across Europe, TikTok is moving into intent-driven territory. That means brands can show up not just in feeds, but exactly when users are actively looking. This could seriously reshape how younger audiences search—and how SMEs capture demand. 👉 Are you treating TikTok as a search channel yet? #TikTokAds #SearchMarketing #DigitalStrategy

Want a free low-hanging fruit in marketing from Alps2Alps ski transfers growth team? Most of us start mapping the customer journey from the first screen of our website. Wrong move. The journey actually starts way earlier - at the traffic source. That's where you're already winning or losing users before they even see your landing page. But here's what I was missing (and probably you too): 1. It's not just about the banner or ad creative. You need to see exactly how users see you in that source: • In the app store - what screenshots, reviews, description they're looking at • On Google Search - the actual query they typed, not just "organic search" • On a website - what page they're on, what content is around your ad • In social media - what they were doing before your ad popped up More importantly - what's their state of mind right now? Are they solving a work task or just scrolling? Researching or comparing? The person searching "best CRM for small business" at 2 PM is in a completely different headspace than someone seeing your ad on Instagram at 11 PM. 2. Here's the part that messed me up: I was only tracking traffic source in marketing analytics. Forgot to pass it through to product analytics. Big mistake. If you're not connecting the source to your product analytics, your numbers are lying to you. You can't figure out why Google users behave differently than Facebook users if you're only looking at product events without the source context. So now I track it in both. Marketing analytics + product analytics. Connect the dots. That's where the real insights hide. PS: Like. Share. Comment. Like. Share. Comment ;-) #CustomerJourney #MarketingAnalytics #ProductAnalytics #UserAcquisition #GrowthHacking

BeRealFan: A Social Network Embedded in a Payment System. And Vice Versa. We built BeRealFan from scratch and on a full-cycle basis. Why is this critical? Because here, monetization is not an add-on; it's part of the architecture. Instead of a "feed with a paywall," we created a full-fledged social environment where communication and transactions are a single, unified process. https://lnkd.in/dvYaFRbG

Veo and Sora just redefined AI video production. (We generated 47 full ad concepts and 180+ render-ready clips in under 48 hours using one JSON pipeline.) Comment “JSON” and I’ll send you the full workflow. Everyone’s talking about AI video tools right now. We stopped talking and built a measurable system. One that turns a written brief into a complete cinematic ad — shot-by-shot — automatically. Here’s how it works: • AI Scene Director • Transforms your description into structured Veo 3 JSON with defined scenes, transitions, and timing data. • Writes second-by-second camera direction optimised for Veo and Sora render engines, with real-world constraints. • Integrated Production Workflow • Formats JSON instantly for rendering and scales to hundreds of ads per week with zero editing time. The result: Consistent cinematic output, 98% rendering accuracy, and a 12× faster concept-to-delivery cycle. If you want to replicate this performance and produce AI-generated ads at scale — Connect with me Comment “JSON” below (Repost for early access — or wait until we open it publicly.)

Swedish tech is consistently producing global winners 🔥❄️ Over the last decade, Sweden has been the origin of some of Europe’s biggest breakout outcomes: ▫️ Spotify built the modern music economy ▫️ Klarna redefined fintech and went public ▫️ iZettle sold to PayPal for $2.2B ▫️ King sold for $5.9B Now the next cohort is emerging with real velocity: ▫️ Sana acquired at $1.1B ▫️ Legora raised $150m at ~$1.8B ▫️ Modal became a unicorn ▫️ Lovable raised $330M at a $6.6 billion valuation ▫️ Epiminds raised $6.6M from Lightspeed Behind many of these early bets stands one of Sweden’s most influential investors: Creandum They backed Spotify, Klarna, Trade Republic, and more recently Lovable long before consensus formed I just interviewed Staffan Helgesson, founder of Creandum, about how they built this long game from Stockholm, how they identify outliers early, and why patience + conviction compound in ways most firms never see.
