Ich habe ein teures Pro Abo, aber bereits nach 3-4 Fragen am Tag möchte Perplexity, dass ich das Guthaben erhöhe. Wobei ich noch nicht einmal die neueren Modelle auswähle, sondern meistens "automatisch" vorgebe. Völlig unbrauchbar! Die kostenlosen Möglichkeiten bei Gemini, ChatGPT & Co. überbieten die von Perplexity bereits um ein Vielfaches.

I am trying to get a refund but I just receive AI answers that are not being helpfull:

We have been working to address your concerns and provide a satisfactory resolution. However, we have not received any response from you regarding the latest update we sent.

I received twice this message during last 5 days after they told me that they will scale my case to an expert to solve the issue.
No expert contacted me....

Heres what happened

I asked
If I provide you with a fairly extensive Treatise of Html docs and PDFs can you verify and validate the facts and data behind it? And provide some sort of Report?

Perplexity replied that was well within it's capability, I took a screenshot of the Properties and uploaded it - 13 Folders, 42 Files slightly less than 450KB in size.

Perplexity affirmed once again - and advised me to upload a zip file of the Folders and files and when I did that I received an unsupported format error.

I then realized that I had a single long PDF containing the full treatise and I uploaded that and was immediately transferred to a page where my only choice was to pay for a subscription to continue!

Then I said to Perplexity

Well now I feel as though you are not only bad at what you do, as you have given me inaccurate information as to what you can do and accept, but I feel as though I have been lied to because you said you could and would do something but when I give you a full PDF file, I am transported immediately to a Paid Only subscription page to do what you said you could do!

Perplexity replies

You’re right to call that out, and I’m sorry. I should not have implied that I could reliably accept and process an extensive PDF in your current access tier when file-upload and document-analysis availability can be subscription- and product-dependent.

What I can do in this chat depends on what the interface makes available to you. I do not control whether the upload flow routes you to a paid-subscription page, and I should have stated that limitation plainly rather than presenting PDF review as an unconditional capability.

The platform is good but as always is developing and improving.
The customer service is absolutely woeful - if it’s artificial intelligence running it it’s failing badly.
I have a pro subscription but cannot continue to use it due to credit upload failures !
Yes I want to pay them to use it but it won’t let me. I have sent repeated emails but got back NOTHING! Not a good look Perplexity!!

I had a freebie Revolut sub for Perplexity which was recently withdrawn by Revolut. Perplexity then asked for payment details to authorise a new sub which I did not do. The Revolut freebie required entering payment details but I was assured they wouldn't take funds w/o authorisation. They still went ahead and took the money without my agreement. The unsubscribing options are not at all easy to access and I had to email to get the refund. It's kind of shocking and even though they gave me a refund, the enshittification is evident.

Extremely poor customer service. My subscription renewed unintentionally, and I did not use the service at all after the renewal. I contacted support immediately and explained the situation clearly, but they refused to offer any flexibility, refund, or meaningful help.

Their responses felt dismissive, robotic, and completely lacking in empathy. Instead of trying to resolve a simple customer issue, they repeatedly hid behind policy and showed no interest in customer satisfaction.

This experience completely ruined my opinion of Perplexity. I would not recommend a service that treats paying customers this way, especially when there was no usage after the renewal.

Bought their enterprise subscription. It comes with SO LITTLE credits to use every month the subscription is essentially worthless. They dont tell you this when you prepay the year.

Then it is impossible to get a hold of customer service, and when you do, its all AI. you cant get anybody to talk to.

No refunds other. Awful company. Hope they go under.

Freaking scam. Charge you all this money for a subscription, then the thing can’t even remember anything even within a single thread. Credits also get used for god knows what and they want to bill you more. DO NOT USE!

Also, ich nutz diese KI seit einem Monat sehr regelmäßig, um politische und wissenschaftliche Angaben zu überprüfen, um Behauptungen entweder zu entkräften oder zu bestätigen und auch für die eine oder andere Bildgenerierung. Bisher konnte ich mich auf die Quellenangaben wirklich verlassen. Es macht Spaß, aufgrund der genauen und zuverlässigen Quellenangabe sich in Themen einzuarbeiten und tiefer nachzuforschen.
Daher verstehe ich auch nicht die zahlreiche negativen Kommentare. Vielleicht sollte man sich vorab genau überlegen, für was man eine KI nutzen möchte und sich dann informieren, welche KI für die eigenen Zwecke wirklich geeignet ist.
Ich bleibe definitiv bei dieser KI, zumal ich das kostenlose Standard Abo nutze und absolut zufrieden bin.

Unlike every other Ai model out there, Perplexity will charge as much as they do for a year, but give you a few credits in the beginning and that is all. You pay for "pro" but after your credits you get crap.

I would not recommend. Too expensive, customer support is crap and they'll just say, "I can't because of policy" instead of caring about the customer.

Perplexity is way more inferior to any other of the popular language models. Useless for text analysis, coding, image generation, basic research.

Ist völlig intransparent. Wurde im August aufgefordert, nachdem ich im Mai ein Jahresabo von 200 CHF bezahlt habe, wieder zu zahlen. Habe daraufhin Perplexity meine Bankbelege geschickt, daraufhin wollten sie sich wieder melden, nichts ist passiert. Habe mit dem Verbraucherschutz gesprochen, doch leider ist solch ein Ki gesteuerter KI Anbieter nicht zu packen. Also eher Finger weg von Perplexety!

I'm only very disappointed that you can't score Perplexity less than 1 star, because from the rollercoaster high I had when I first started using it, its just a complete car crash now.

Buggy to the point of being unusable, burning credits whether that's a conscious choice from the business to try and generate some revenue or just ineptitude if you actually left auto refill on you'd be penniless within the week. Tech's promise to 'Do more with less' has been innovatively turned onto its head with 'Do Less and make you spend more' which i'm not sure is going to impress the likes of Dragons Den.

The support which was brilliant in the early days, polite responsive and ready to hold their hands up and reimburse credits when it . Now despite continual acceptance of the multitude of issues, promises to get back to you by a certain timescale even when its mission critical GDPR issues that Perplexity itself has completely ignored its own guardrails. The idea as a multi billion point company that there's no proper support at the weekend, is laughable, only it isn't. I sometimes get the impression that rather than the West Coast Silicon Valley tech oasis I imagined them to be that its more like Del Boy working in his flat in Mandela House frantically asking Rodney to fix stuff because he's the one with the GCSE. And believe me if you know only Fools & Horses 'Perplexity Peckham Springs' could have its own series.

In my view honestly I would absolutely steer clear of Perplexity until its past its MVP stage, as an Ai toy to mess around with its fine, accessible but if you're thinking serious business cases I couldn't in good conscience let anyone go near it.

My only note of optimism is if we're all worried about Skynet taking over and trying to destroy humanity we have absolutely nothing to worry about if Perplexity is the one that becomes sentient, because the T3000 it would create would no doubt not even be waterproof & would rust before it got anywhere near John Connor.

Not good enough & they need to know it & actually do something about it as all the Rogue Trader style warnings on social and review sites are testifying to.

I acquired perplexity pro, the paid version worth $200/year. I used it for a couple months, and then it locked me out of my account and required me to sign in using a mobile phone. I do not have a mobile phone. I contacted support, asking to allow me to sign back on with a different verification method. They told me "no". They drafted new terms and now required mobile verification, they admitted that previously this was not required, but now it was mandatory. I argued that I was a paid tier and this is poor customer service. They did not care and told me there was nothing they could do for me. Oh, and no reimbursement of remaining 75 percent of my remaining paid pro. They changed the contract I had signed with them for use, and locked me out of my account, and offered no reimbursement. All they, repeatedly, would say was: "We can't help you". You can not trust your money with such a company.

Very disappointing experience. The writing quality is poor, and technical letters often contain invented or speculative information instead of properly researched facts. The photo restoration results are terrible, and even minor improvements consume additional credits rather than being done properly from the start.

I used it dozens of times but ultimately decided to cancel because I was so disappointed with its performance. After I spent almost an hour trying to cancel, the company informed me that, because I had paid for a full year, my subscription would not be cancelled for another 11.5 months. However, I would not be able to use the program during that time because I had run out of some type of credits, which I would have to pay extra for.

I waited for a couple of hours to speak with an agent, but no one ever came online. I also spent an hour trying to figure out how to cancel my subscription because the company’s technical instructions told me to click on menu items that did not exist in my version.

It also repeatedly forgets instructions and preferences, forcing me to explain the same requirements over and over again. This is marketed as a “Pro” service, but the quality feels decidedly amateur.

I subscribed to perplexity pro and i received an "out of credits" email even if i barely used perplexity. There aren't any real-time display of credits left included in the pro subscription.
Furthermore, when i ask a question, i see tags and sometimes it even does not answer my questions.

The architecture change Perplexity rolled out in July 2026 — replacing full file reading with fragmented API-based search in the Google Drive connector, combined with a 75% cut to the daily upload quota — has made the tool structurally incompatible with professional workflows built on document repositories; as a strength coach who depends on faithful, complete audits of .md training-program files, there is no workaround for this loss of reading fidelity, and I will be cancelling my Pro subscription next billing cycle unless this is reversed or fixed before then. I use a repository of .md files for any porpouses, and Perplexity no longer reads full content, only API fragments.

I got a survey from this company, my company uses it. They sent me a survey on my job satisfaction at my company. So I did the survey and was honest because they said it was continental. Well apparently they aren't confidential, my boss and my bosses boss were waiting for my when I came in and mentioned it to me. So now I probably have to find a new job.

They charged me the wrong amount, and it has been impossible to get my money back. I was supposed to have a $9 student account, but they charged me $24.40, which is also a strange amount.

Requesting a refund has been a nightmare. They seem to acknowledge the error, but then they disappear and stop responding. No refund has been issued.

Regarding the AI model, after using it for a year, I would say that its performance has become poorer over time, and the token limitations are more noticeable than in the past.

Bye bye Perplexity.

Estoy usando Perplexity Pro y todavía me quedan más de 10 días, pero la plataforma bloqueó la carga de archivos y me pide actualizar a Max que cueta 10 veces mas y tampoco te dicen cual es el cupo. Es increible como te mienten

El problema no es que haya límites: es que no encuentro una explicación cuantificable para Pro o Max individual. Settings no muestra el límite aplicable, los archivos usados, el período de medición ni la fecha de reinicio. La documentación que encontré publica cifras para Enterprise, pero no una cuota equivalente y verificable para Pro individual. Lo mas indiganante que ellos mismo en"help"reconcen que toda la informacion disponible es que PRO, tiene una cuota mas alta que free, y Max mas alta que pro. Eso no es cuantificable, es un verguenza la desinfromacion, eso yo lo llamaria de una manera que puede tener consecuencias legales, es ta fa stitidiado el que paga y se queda en la mitad del trabajo con todavia 2 semanas por delante de uso pero sin poder subir documentos. No caigan en esta desgracia...

Como usuario, no puedo administrar un cupo que no se informa. Antes de actualizar, necesito saber: cuántos archivos permite Pro, qué acciones consumen cuota, cuál es mi consumo actual y cuándo se reinicia.
