Diabolical
Diabolical. Used a number of comparison websites to find the best car insurance and Hastings Direct came out on top on all of them. They require an app to fulfil your side of the policy. The app has a high score on the Google Play store, so went ahead and bought the policy. That's where the problems began. I cannot access my policy anywhere, neither via the app nor the website. I've contacted support, reinstalled the app, deleted cache, reset password... nothing. No policy available and a completely unusable app. Then I examined the app reviews on the Play Store, only to discover tons of negative reviews, all from people in the same position as me. Support just tells you to reinstall the app, delete cache, turn off phone, reset password etc etc, when this is clearly an issue with the app, not the user. Without a functioning app, am I even covered? Who knows? Absolutely abysmal and not worth the heartache to save a few quid.
