I submitted my refund form on 5 June 2026, and BSBI confirmed in writing that the processing time was 30–45 days.

It has now been three months, and I have still received no refund and no specific payment date.

Despite repeatedly contacting BSBI, I continue to receive the same responses: “high volume of refund requests,” “finance team has been notified,” and “funds will be released soon.”

I have also found several other students reporting very similar refund delays.

After waiting far beyond the timeframe BSBI provided, I am requesting immediate resolution and a specific payment date.

I applied for a refund on 25th May 2026 against my deposit of 2000 euros, and despite their study agreement saying that I would be refunded within 15 days if I choose to proceed with withdrawals, they haven't refunded my payment yet, and their staff keeps making excuses. I won't recommend this school at all.

I was enrolled on January 2025 intake. But unfortunately my visa was rejected without proper reason. When I contacted them for refund one of their advisors contacted me on WhatsApp and told me to reapply for a visa although I applied for refund. As I have to contact for the refund within 1-2 months of visa rejected( I'm not sure) He assured me that I will get my refund whenever I want without any timeframe. The I applied again and got rejected again. Then I applied for refund on march 18 and my refund request was approved on 18 april. But till now I've contacted them for refund for like hundreds of times but they always give me one answer there is high volume of refund requests. Like wtf how much time you guys need for giving me my money back. When it was time for collecting tution fee from me they contacted me like 15 times in a day. Now there's no response. Bullshit university.

I am writing this review to express my serious frustration and disappointment regarding BSBI’s Finance and Refund Department.
My refund request was officially approved by the BSBI Refund Team on 5 May 2026 (Student ID: Q1135738). According to BSBI's refund policy, approved refunds are supposed to be processed within 30 working days. However, it has now been more than five months since my refund was approved, and I still have not received my money.
Throughout this period, I have repeatedly followed up with BSBI and have received multiple assurances regarding the status of my refund. Most recently, BSBI informed me that my case had been prioritised and that the payment was expected to be processed by 28 August 2026. That date has now passed, yet I have still not received the refund or any official proof that the payment has been transferred.
Whenever I follow up, I receive explanations about payment queues, high volumes of refund requests, or requests for additional patience. While delays can occasionally happen, keeping a student's approved refund pending for more than five months is completely unacceptable.My experience with BSBI's refund process has been extremely frustrating.
I strongly urge the BSBI Finance Team to immediately release my approved refund and provide official transaction or payment confirmation details without any further delay.

As a student at BSBI, I would NOT recommend any student to enroll. They only care about money, the administration are so mean especially the “exams and assessments” department, finance department do NOT answer your emails, unless they are asking you for money and they simply do not care about your future, all they care about is how to take your money. Before you enroll, read well the reviews of this university and listen to students what they really say.

​My refund request was officially approved by the BSBI Refund Team on 26 june, 2026 (Student ID: Q1139351). BSBI’s terms state that approved refunds are to be remitted within 30 working days. Over 2 months have passed since confirmation, yet the university has failed to transfer my approved tuition funds.
​Whenever I follow up, I receive automated template replies citing higher refund request volumes and asking for patience. While application advisors are quick during enrollment, the post-approval refund processing is unacceptably delayed.
​I urge the BSBI Finance Team to immediately execute the payout for Student ID Q1139351 and send official transaction/dispatch details.

They're still holding a €50 overpayment on my tuition. Refund form confirmed received on 11 May 2026, stated processing time 45 working days, now around 73 with no payment and no date.

Why the automated reply is not edited?

If you are INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AND APPLYING FOR BSBI DO NOT ENGAGE GIVING THEM A DEPOSIT UNLESS YOU REALLY HAVE VISA AND GOING TO SCHOOL. THIS SCHOOL WILL SCAM YOU IT WILL STATE IN CONTRACT REFUND IS 30-45 DAYS. ITS BEEN 90 DAYS I HAVENT GET MY REFUND AFTER FILLUP AND FOLLOW ALL THE PROCESS OF REFUND. CALLING FINANCE DEPT NOBODY WILL ANSWER. I NEED HELP FROM ANYONE GIVE ME DIRECTION. THANK YOU.

My experience at Berlin School of Business and Innovation has been genuinely meaningful, both academically and personally.

I am currently a MSc in International Health Management Student and the programme has helped me connect my medical background with my growing interest in health systems, healthcare leadership, policy, communication and global health. It has given me a clearer understanding of the direction I want my career and future research to take.

One of the things I value most about BSBI is the international environment. Studying alongside people from different countries, cultures and professional backgrounds has expanded my perspective and made classroom discussions much richer. The school has also created opportunities for me to grow beyond academics, build my confidence, strengthen my network and become more involved in student life.

Serving in the Student Council as a Course Representative has been especially important to me. It has allowed me to listen to other students, communicate their concerns and understand the importance of strong student representation. I appreciate being part of a community where students are encouraged to contribute, speak up and take leadership roles.

Like every institution, there are areas that can continue to improve, but my overall experience has been positive. BSBI has become an important part of my personal and professional journey in Berlin, and I am grateful for the knowledge, connections and opportunities I have gained so far.

Was good from the beginning of the registration to the time of studies

They respond quickly by email and that's a positive response but it's is very difficult to reach them via calls.

Timetable is good and flexible

I have had a good experience at BSBI. The staff are very friendly and always try their best to help and answer any questions. The professors are kind, engaging, and make the classes enjoyable.

I also like that BSBI organizes many extracurricular activities. They help students get involved, meet new people, and enjoy university life. The university is also very diverse, which makes it a comfortable place for students with different backgrounds.

One thing I would appreciate is faster responses and quicker processing of student requests. However, I understand that this is not always easy because the staff are working hard and there may be understaffing. Overall, I am happy with my experience at BSBI.

I am writing this to alert all international students about the gross negligence, predatory enrollment practices, and operational failure of the Berlin School of Business and Innovation (BSBI).
​My Student ID is Q1138986 (MSc Engineering Management). My refund request was officially initiated months ago, and as of today, it has been over 70 business days since my complete documentation was submitted on April 2, 2026. My refund was officially approved on June 2, 2026, yet the refund team continuously fails to provide a specific transaction date or a SWIFT transfer confirmation copy. They only provide generic, automated replies stating they have added me to a "payment list" due to "high volume," while unlawfully withholding my family's life savings.
​Furthermore, this entire visa refusal was caused directly by the misleading counseling and institutional malpractice of BSBI. They officially enrolled me based on a Duolingo English Test certificate—explicitly stated on my Unconditional Acceptance Letter—falsely assuring me it was sufficient. In reality, the German Embassy in Bangladesh strictly rejects the Duolingo route for student visas. This academic misguidance led directly to my visa rejection and severe financial loss, including blocked account fees.
​BSBI is flagrantly violating German consumer protection laws and its own binding financial policy (which states a 30-45 days processing limit). If BSBI management does not execute my 100% tuition refund and address my €768.50 blocked account compensation immediately, I will escalate this case formally to the Berlin Senate Department (Senatsverwaltung für Wissenschaft, Gesundheit und Pflege) and BaFin.
​Avoid this institution at all costs if you value your money, time, and career!

Thank you for your public response, BSBI. However, simply stating that my payment is added to the "next scheduled payment run" without providing a concrete transfer date or swift confirmation is the exact same delaying tactic your refund department has been using for weeks.
​My refund was approved on June 2, 2026. Your finance department has repeatedly failed to provide a specific date for execution, keeping my family's savings locked unlawfully.
​Please be advised that unless the actual international bank wire transfer receipt is emailed to me within the next 5 business days (by July 20, 2026), I will proceed with filing a formal police complaint (Strafanzeige) in Berlin and cooperate fully with the German regulatory authorities (SenWGP and Verbraucherzentrale Berlin) whom I have already CC'd in my official escalations.
