My experience with Netlify’s customer service was unprofessional and unacceptable. After I accidentally canceled my domain subscription while trying to cancel only my hosting, my business website remained OFFLINE FOR FIVE DAYS.

Netlify initially claimed the domain was not registered through them, despite my purchase confirmation and Name.com verifying that Netlify controlled it through its reseller account. There appeared to be NO URGENT ESCALATION PROCESS, even for a completely inaccessible business website. Emails sent during the day were answered only overnight, usually once per day, making me question whether support is operated overseas without sufficient daytime coverage for U.S. customers.

Netlify eventually transferred my domain to my Name.com account, but I should not have needed to contact company executives and argue for five days to regain control of a domain I purchased through Netlify. Their slow and inaccurate handling of this outage harmed my business.

This project is a scam, defrauding customers and stealing our commissions. Please be careful and take precautions.

Kept trying to update my website after the first build, and ever attempt requied a to top-up the credits. Rbbish, pricing plan is mess. get you started then rip you off every opportunity. I would not recomend this platform

Free static sites. I can't complain. I host a couple simole HTML sites with them for free. Easy to just drag a folder to deploy. Can even use custom domain on free plan.

My production domain stopped working after operating normally for approximately one month. The Netlify subdomain continued to work, but the custom domain became stuck on “Pending External DNS Verification.”

I sent all the screenshots requested by support. Five days have now passed, the domain is still not connected, and I have received neither a clear diagnosis nor a working resolution. This has blocked a time-sensitive business launch and caused a serious loss of time.

I expected Netlify support to investigate the actual DNS and SSL status, clearly explain the cause, and escalate the issue when it was not resolved promptly. Five days without a solution for a production-domain problem is completely unacceptable.

I own a marketing agency that also builds UX for projects and some software development projects. Netlify, while not for beginners necessarily, is a powerful platform that provides tremendous value for a business like mine. A single account hosting 10 static websites and two live applications with dev environments and test servers for what we're paying is outstanding. The deployment flexibility (we use folder drop and Github), native database, CDN, and all the other platform tools...just makes things easy. The Dashboard makes managing dozens of deployments and dev sites simple, and I've never experienced an outage.

Their credit system can be nebulous and frustrating, but if you understand the utilization and get the right plan, it's a predictable expense.

I have been using Netlify’s free tier for quite a while now, and my experience has been consistently positive. Recently, I ran into an issue and reached out to their support team via email. I received a helpful response within just a few minutes, and the problem was resolved quickly.

It is rare to find this level of responsiveness and support for users on a free plan. Netlify continues to be a highly reliable and user-friendly platform for hosting projects, and I highly recommend them.

Very generous free tier with free hosting and A.I agent bug fixers and builders. LOVE THIS SITE.

I have used the site for 7 weeks for a lengthy website project I am building. I did use a lot of credits and upgraded to the lowest paid tier, but that was really by my own doing based on how frequently I wanted to improve pages I was rushing to publish. I could have saved money and used WordPress, but at the same time, that level of perfection before publishing is why I gained little to no momentum in publishing using WordPress. With Netlify, GitHub, and Claude Code, I have been able to draft, roadmap, and publish 6.5 years' worth of ideas in 6.5 weeks. Sometimes I need to wait before i push through a change but 2 weeks after upgrading i still am only at half of my credit limits. Once the foundation is built, and my entire knowledge base is published, I will not need ot be publishing at this pace for this site, and I can downshift packages or build my next site. I love that I found this and it fits my tech stack so well

I have never deployed a website before-- to a domain that I purchased from another service provider-- using another service provider-- after building my own independent work website. Therefore, my review miget be biased.

I deployed the independent website that I built with the assistance of Claude, through Netlify. Honestly I'm puzzled to read such negatively charged/emotional reviews (just skimmed a few of them)... especially because if the reviewers did indeed accomplish those tasks themselves (without using AI vibe coding excessively, a genie, etc.), it shouldn't be that intellectually challenging or frustrating to look for the relevant troubleshooting steps in Netlify.

I suspect that the reviews may not be truthful. I noticed a complaint about the credits not being worth much, but in my own experience I still have 299 credits left after successfully deploying my website (soomin.dev) without paying them with anything. I think there is some merit to the claim about DNS errors (I had to delete nameservers that don't belong to me or my website) and the documentation not being easy to follow (it can feel a bit like a maze of documents, navigating from one issue to another... the 2D UI/UX reminds me of something like a manual that Windows might have created, then left behind). It does require more reading and testing.

I guess the Netlify experience could be a double-edged sword, depending on what the User expects from a service provider. To me, it seems to be fairly well-designed for individual Users who have basic UI/UX literacy and are content to learn and figure things out by themselves-- without needing a Customer Service Agent (whether they are humans or bots... my guess is that there are more agentic AI than humans) holding their hand, babysitting their feelings, affirming their identities and/or politics as if that is what they are there for or are built for, and "checking in" on them... every step of the way and during every moment of their workday...

I had two of my accounts suspended for what appears to be no valid reason, and despite trying to get help, I received little to no meaningful customer support. It feels like the company relies almost entirely on AI, with no real effort to resolve legitimate customer issues.

Having your accounts suspended without a clear explanation can put your websites and business at serious risk. Imagine your ecommerce or website gets blacked out! exactly.. If your sites are important to you, I would think carefully before using this service. Based on my experience, they showed very little concern for resolving the problem or helping me recover my accounts.

Very disappointing experience, and I cannot recommend this company.

Good for starting small and easy websites. Otherwise terrible. The ai credits run out half way through runs (even with remaining credits), and the ai does no work, therefore losing all the money spent on the credits. Bought credits and didn't receive them and the netlify support team offered no explanation and sent me a long spreadsheet with no times, impossible to decifer. Even with pro version support team takes at least a week to reply.

Pure crap. And a waste of time. Its good practice that you can take to other competition.

"FREE" only on word. A static website went paused because of use of credit. Yeah, 300 credits for a static website with only 1 visitor (me) in one day.
The interface is pretty bad also, it is very difficult to manage simple tasks like see the content, force deploy etc...
This website looks like a scam...

Randomly suspended my account for no reason after I've been trying to launch my agency's website. Support is just ghosting me & didn't even comment on the issue for days. Shouldn't have trusted the recommendation here - what a waste of time. The same issue

Horrible site, I was wrongfully suspended and they didn't even bother to send me an email informing me of this. It could have been ages before I found out about this as I don't check my site regularly. Don't bother using this for hosting if you're site critically needs to remain available.

Netlify made my work disappear and still deducted the credits associated with it. I lost valuable time, received nothing in return, and got no response from support despite contacting them by email.

A platform that cannot protect users’ work and does not respond when problems occur should not be trusted with important projects. Extremely disappointing experience. I would not recommend Netlify based on the lack of reliability and customer support.
