Property Searches Direct are the calm in the otherwise overwhelming industry of buying and selling property in this country. Sometimes, with a bit of homework and due diligence, you will find not everything is necessarily required to be arranged by conveyancers or solicitors (note that some things are, and for good reason). This is where PSD come it, they provide a range of services available to the public, and in my experience (when I spoke to Dan) can offer straight talking advice on some of the common industry misunderstandings. Dan really knew his stuff and gave me the confidence to buy an indemnity via PSD, which thanks to them IS available to the public. It was a simple procedure and all of the information is available up front to help you make an informed decision. Of all the elements of the house-buying process, the local authority search component is usually the slowest and most cumbersome. However, Dan and his team at PSD turned around my regulated search pack with incredible speed. PSD reduced the time frame from an expected up-to-12 weeks (Breckland) to a fortnight for the entire search pack! The reports themselves are thorough, with very easy to understand explanations and even include advice and instructions to conveyancers as to how to proceed where issues have been exposed. I needed some further advice and guidance and found not only that Dan (the CEO of PSD) was available on the phone on each occasion but that he was extremely knowledgeable and able to anticipate my specific concerns. I cannot extoll the virtues of this professional firm highly enough. Usually, my personal credo is "If you want a job doing properly, do it yourself".
