Alles super! Kiste müsste geknickt werden, aber es war eine Übergröße. Hat seinen Zweck erfüllt. Lieferung war schnell und verlief reibungslos. Danke.

It is just not worse it! Instead of getting back earlier I ended up getting home even later than if I had waited for a regional train. And paying a lot more in addition for a more expensive ticket and for an additional ticket to get back to my original stop.

You simply are dependent of some nice passengers. I was lucky enough to meet a kind traveler who first helped us to get on the train. Which is impossible to do alone... The Deutsche Bahn employees for the most part help you to get on if they are around, but only if you are lucky enough to see them and in this case I would have to beg for some help.

Then I couldn't open the door on time at our stop (Augsburg- Donauwoerth) and when I asked the other passenger to help us get off it was already too late. The Deutsche Bahn employee had checked our tickets and disappeared ( I was unlucky enough to be in the wrong car). So I had to travel all the way until Treuchtlingen ( I guess can count myself lucky I didn't had to travel even further ...).

There at the DB Service the woman (who lucks some basic qualities essential for services - politeness and compassion), told me I had to buy another ticket to get back to Donauworth. Ofcourse we missed our connection back to Gundelfingen, and had to wait for another hour.

In addition Bayern stations are already awful if you have to travel with a small child... almost nowhere there is an elevator, not even in Augsburg or Ulm. On the bright side in Treuchtlingent hey have an elevator... at least. The first I have seen so far.
