What a scam they operate
I was hit from behind and my car was deemed to be worth less than the repair cost, the third party paid out for my vehicle but didn’t want the car, I do want the car but Hastings direct have taken ownership and want to profit further from selling it back to me.
Im in discussion with a consumer program on local radio because I believe my insurance company should be working for me not looking to gain from my inconvenience, I do pay for the policy and expected more from them.
My misfortune has landed me without a car and without sufficient money to replace my car
Hastings direct have made money from every single step of the process, administration fee on arranging the car being taken away and valued, administration fee on getting me a hire vehicle, administration fee on referring me to a solicitor, and another second hand car for nothing to sell for additional profit. With so many channels of income im surprised they don’t insure people for free, it’s a complete scam that needs exposing imo
If I had asked the other sides insurance company to deal with the claim directly and didn’t ask Hastings direct who I pay for insurance, I would have got the payment and kept my car and I’d have got everything else as well, hire car, physio etc. I didn’t realise this when I was hit but have heard from loads of people since.

It was a good price and the service so far is second to
none. The experience on site was relatively good as I am not that good on a computer . I certainly would do my insurance searching online again. Many thanks for making it easy

Excellent service at a very competitive price!

I’m really disappointed as the premium has gone up so much while other companies I found are a lot cheaper by £45 per month you’re charging me £160 pm and I found few with only £115 pm .. if you can’t reduce it asap I might have to cancel and change over . Pls let me know if u can match them .

Very easy and helpful to arrange my policy.

After filling in every detail which took about 10 minutes the quoted price was impossible to buy.

What amazing customer service experience with these guys especially Aisha (hope I've got that right). After purchasing a car doing a change of vehicle then having to add a temp cover on my old vehicle and then doing another change of vehicle back to my original vehicle after a full month of arguing with a dealership and returning the new vehicle this team were professional understanding and above all listened and explained everything I needed to know. One very happy relieved lady thank you. Highly recommend this company
