I found HN to be very helpful,but this is not about HN. I purchased a Breville 32L Microwave from HN on 18-6-2024, 14 days later this Microwave blew the fuses in my house. I returned the microwave to HN, They tested it and it blew thier fuse,HN immediately replaced the Microwave, Good after sale service. 17 month later, the replacement Microwave is not working. It is not heating and is diplaying EO5 on the control panel. I have to replace the Microwave, I will not be pruchasing a breville Microwave again and would not recommend this Microwave

I recently upgraded my phone and was having trouble pairing my fit 3 huawei watch which I had purchased at this store. I was served by a very helpful and professional team member called Connor. The customer service was top notch.

We purchased a Bosch Serie|6 9kg Heat Pump dryer (Model WQG24200AU) from Harvey Norman in Wairau Park, Auckland in mid-2023.

We weren’t happy with the dryer from the beginning. It took a very long time to dry any kind of load and trying to get sheets dry was a real mission. The sheets would roll up into a tight roll like a rolled up sleeping bag and be still damp in the middle of the roll when the cycle ended. To get them dry it was necessary to unroll them once or twice during the cycle. We discovered that this occurred because the dryer didn’t have a “drum reverse” and the drum always rotated in the same direction.

We contacted Bosch about the problems and they suggested several things to try. We tried them all with no success.

We complained to Bosch and they referred us to Harvey Norman, the retailer where we had purchased the dryer. Harvey Norman refused to do anything about it.

Then we saw the dryer mentioned in the Consumer NZ “Yeah Nah Awards”, the “Avoid At All Costs Award” and the “8 of the worst products on our website”. We checked online and found many reviews of that model of Bosch dryer complaining about the problem of trying to get sheets dry.

We approached Harvey Norman again with no success. So we filed a claim with the Disputes Tribunal (referencing the Consumer NZ articles).

With the Consumer NZ articles as evidence, the Disputes Tribunal found that the dryer “is not of acceptable quality” (as required by the Consumer Guarantees Act) and awarded us a full refund of the cost of the dryer, the delivery charge, the stacking kit and the installation charge and ordered Harvey Norman to uplift the dryer at no cost to us.

Thanks to Consumer NZ for doing the testing and providing us with enough ammunition to get our money back.

Ordered a dishwasher, delivery and install and removal. Paid the lot. The installer they hired was incapable of doing the job. They took the dishwasher and charged me for completing absolutely nothing. Unacceptable, no attempt to contact me. When I emailed for a refund, no contact, no follow through. If you want to waste your time and money, harvey norman is the answer. Shop at Noel leeming if you know what's good for you

Unpleasant and condescending experience with floor sales reps - some old Asian guy, mixed of black and white hair. Rude individual, probably needs to retire. Date of visit: 13/07/25 around 3:30-4:00PM.

First thing he asked when we engaged to talk was “buying or renting?” In a way he wanted to hear me say renting. I do dress up in quite relaxed way on my weekends for a young person who owns 3 properties.

I was after a washing machine, we discussed top loaders & front loaders. He kept saying the dimensions of our new property’s laundry room was ‘sad to hear’ and ‘unfortunate’ at least 3 times because it can only accommodate the top loaders. It’s a very brand new and modern laundry set up, maybe his old age couldn’t understand.

All in all, I don’t really expect highly of Harvey Norman staff to be honest, but a certain level of professionalism should be maintained.

Luckily, I chose not to buy here and went elsewhere with better service.

Trying to make a purchase on the website is the most pathetic things I have come across you try to set up click and collect and it goes nowhere it just locks into trying to find your location and the wheel of death just spins you into submission sort out thae damn website so people can purchase their items

Harvey Norman Masterton provided us with excellent customer service today, thanks to Narinder. After a month-long search for the perfect bed, Narinder took the time to offer us an amazing deal, demonstrating patience, excellent communication, and consideration for our budget. We even snagged some discounted vases at the checkout. The collection process was seamless, with the help of the friendly warehouse staff. We highly recommended this store!!!

They don't deliver the online order promptly. Sent a text to a previous partner asking me to contact them about delivery. Phoned them, they said they'd call back the next day but never did. Why can't they pack it send it end of. Will remember this experience. 80 bucks to come 12km too so expected better than I still don't got. Bed base Palmerston North.

Update. The manager has finally stated a full refund will be given on the suite. Frankly, if this had been done 3 months ago when I requested it, it would have saved a lot of dtress. Dont deal with Mt Wellington branch. Useless customer service. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Faulty product. I paid $1000 for an outdoor dining suite that has a broken leg and a table that cannot be assembled. I purchased it in November 2024, and it did not arrive until Feb 2025. It has a bent chair leg which the manager replaced, but when he came to see the chair he tried to bend the leg into place and it snapped. Not a good look. The table cannot be assembled as the brackets are positioned incorrectly. I have asked for a full refund on the faulty product but they have not provided this and instead offer a million excuses. Frankly, I am appalled at such lack of care for the customer. Totally unacceptable!!

Emma in the Hornby Chch branch ( photo counter ) is just amazing. My point was too dark, and she arranged to get several copies for a bride and family and some guests. Sounds small, but to me it meant the world. Service delivered with a smile. Thankyou Emma.

Noel Leeming or JB Hi-Fi anywhere but H N Botany! After 12 years we will now purchase elsewhere due to the condescending and impertinent behaviour of the in-store manager 1st March 2025. BUYER BEWARE.. paying for set-up and extended warranty will not guarantee you'll receive what you have paid for at the end, when things go wrong. Get any communications for repairs or replacement in writing...do not trust promises made by verbal comms! Thanks, Apple. Your support in trouble shooting repairs and then replacing our item has made this 1 month long tedious experience bearable. The 1 star is for the H N's floor staff excellent upselling skills- a pity the after service is so lackluster!

While the products seemed to be of good quality and the staff was knowledgeable, the high-pressure sales tactics were a major turnoff. I prefer a more relaxed shopping experience and won’t be returning
