Great caution is advised!
My recent experience with the online course “Divine Quest with Alberto Villoldo” is a prime example of non-transparent and customer-unfriendly methods. What was advertised as a “21-day journey” quickly turned out to be a brazen sales pitch.
The first two days of the “free” course went smoothly. I received the promised emails with the course materials punctually early in the morning. The content with Alberto Villoldo was captivating and made me curious for more – exactly what you would expect from a renowned personality like him. A feeling of trust and excitement about continuing this exciting journey developed.
But this positive impression did not last long. From day 3 onwards, communication from Younity abruptly stopped. No more emails, absolute radio silence. My friendly request to the support team to look into the problem was merely acknowledged with an automatic confirmation of receipt. There was no further response. The “free” journey had obviously come to a halt, without explanation and without support.
What followed was a brazen marketing tactic: yesterday, after days of silence, an email arrived from Younity offering me the supposedly free course for purchase. The argument was flimsy and cynical: it was so “critical” from day 3 onwards to stick with a course and integrate it into everyday life. That's why they were now offering me the course for purchase – with an “unbeatable discount” until the end of July, after which it would become “considerably more expensive.”
“Lifetime access” was promised – a promise that is hardly credible given Younity's practices to date. A company that discontinues an advertised free course without warning and then suddenly offers it for purchase is acting unprofessionally and bordering on fraud. This is not about the principle of paying; of course, every service requires an energy exchange. But ethical fairness requires transparency.
It would have been easy to communicate the offer honestly from the outset: “You can try out the first two days for free. If you like the course, you can purchase the entire course for XX euros.” This clear statement builds trust and allows interested parties to make an informed decision. Younity's approach, on the other hand, is manipulative and aims to create a sense of urgency and loss in order to push the purchase.
The misuse of the names of renowned, internationally recognized personalities from the world of spirituality, such as Alberto Villoldo, is particularly reprehensible. Their impeccable reputation and integrity are being exploited for such dubious marketing purposes. This not only damages Younity's reputation, but also casts a shadow on the speakers, even if they are probably unaware of these unscrupulous practices.
My personal experience from this incident is a clear warning to be cautious: be extremely critical of offers that are suddenly advertised as “free” and then abruptly switch to a purchase. Carefully examine and question testimonials, and question business models that clearly focus more on aggressive sales than on transparent value creation.
In my opinion, this personal experience with Younity is a prime example of a lack of ethical principles and customer-unfriendly marketing strategies.

Excellent experience
Excellent experience. Very well organized. Smooth entry into the venue, excellent organizing of all the snack and mealtimes. Overall for such a huge event everything ran smoothly and facilitated having transformative meditation experiences.
progressive retreat Basel 25-27 Feb
Great organisation, Dr.Joe is incredible as always, enough breaks and well provided information, everything was clear and quick with the telegram channel.
For the next time would be great to have better lunches, the second day the rice was undercooked and it was impossible to eat for many people. also the queue in the toilets were soooooooo long. I understand we had enough time, but having 4 WC points for 8200 people doesn't seem to be enough... I know it's the halle that has this, but maybe adding biotoilets or something else can help. also there hardly were any sockets to charge the phone.
otherwise great event and oraginsation
Joe Dispenza's workshop was excellent…
Joe Dispenza's workshop was excellent and truly inspiring. I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5, as there’s definitely room for improvement on the event management side.
For example, having only one entrance for silver ticket holders created a lot of unnecessary crowding, with people pushing to get in, which felt unsafe. Adding additional entry points would really help manage the flow better.
We were informed ahead of time about the toilet situation, but even with the warning, waiting 40 minutes for a restroom is not ideal. Perhaps a slightly smaller crowd next time could make the overall experience more comfortable.
Regarding the food, the poke bowl was unfortunately barely edible, and the pastries offered during the second break were more like junk food. For an event focused on health and well-being, higher-quality snacks would be much appreciated.
That said, the catering staff were fantastic—super friendly and very hard working.
Overall, it was a powerful experience content-wise, but improving these logistical details would make it even better.
Great moment and learning
Great moment and learning
Exciting experience, learning and practice with a beautiful community. Very well organised end to end. Very good food and beverage. Sunday timing was a bit too long while Saturday could have been slightly longer.
Joe talked forever by repeating the…
Joe talked forever by repeating the same thing in different ways. It is impressive if someone can do it for an hour. By the time they do it for 8 hours, it is just empty.
The event was constructed by bringing people's energy up with dance parties, then down with a sad story or movie. When you're feeling low you're then being told you'll feel better after meditation. Meditation brings the mood up again. Great trick.
This event could have been much shorter in hours. I understand you need 30 minutes filler by asking us to talk to the person next to you and explain or showing us movies so people still have time to go to the bathroom. After that, it was time to meditate. For example, I could have happily missed the entire afternoon of the last day and some of the morning, especially the sad stories and the asking for donations. I did enjoy the meditations, safe for the last one that only started at the closing time of the event after having sat through all this empty talk.
Unfortunately, I got scammed.

Fantastic experience, great organization and thank you so much for that!! 🙏
Joe Dispenza Retreat Organistion war toll
Der Anlass mit 8'100 Personen mit Joe Dispenza in Basel war super gut organisiert.
Amazing
Amazing, the energy during the event just blowed me away, thanks a lot to everybody: Dr. Joe, research team, trainers, exhibitors, younity staff and volunteers and of course ALL PARTICIPANTS which made the event become what it was.
Second time participation - room for improvement
This was the second time I participated at the Progressive Workshop from Dr. Joe. I liked it but compared to the last time, I felt that something got worse in terms of organization etc. First of all, the lines in front of the toilets were unacceptable. I do not understand why they created "unisex" toilets. As a male, I had to wait 40 min in the queue whilst last time, I could just go to the men's toilet without waiting. Then, the temperature in the room was way too cold. I permanently had to wear a jacket. In addition, I would have appreciated some new elements in the course not just the exact repetition of last year's event. More meditations would be appreciated. Finally, I did not like the fact that during the meditation on day 3, many participants screamed and disturbed other participants. I understand if some folks have unpleasant experiences but one should also respect other participants need for silence.

Great introduction to the approach…
Great introduction to the approach presented by Joe Dispenza. Fantastic energy with lots of powerful music tracks. The volunteers and staff members are super friendly and approachable.
I would have liked less talk from Joe and more meditation exercises. Joe repeats himself a lot and sometimes the message gets drowned in the mass of words. I would have liked more accurate and detailed guidelines, eg the energy points were described hush hush (not even all of them were developed), and the breathing technique was not well explained, even though the demonstration with the volunteers was mind blowing. Joe also could benefit from being more present in his speech and ramble less. The part of the scientific validation of the approach was way too long. We all believe in the bio-natural truth of his teachings. There is no need to show endless slides that create more confusion than coherence.
I am a coach and leadership trainer, I’d love to work with Joe in that capacity…
Very difficult for disabled people
The seats of the silver area were totally uncomfortable. More importantly there were no special assistance or any way to make it easy for disabled people. I am using crutches and it was very difficult to climb up the steep stairs to reach a seat on the silver area.

What a great event . Perfectly organized from beginning to end

I gave 5 stars because there is not six stars. The experience is unique and kind of difficult to explain 100%. The organisation was flawless! The atmosphere amazing! As a result, I'll do it again. We'll see us in Copenhagen. Thank you!
Bad event.
Joe's approach to helping people seems predatory.
His science backed anecdotes are not backed without clear bias..and then not showing the actual studies. We feel a little bit cheated by the experience. We were expecting more practical meditation learnings and not vague statements on repeat.
Also, Joe is not a doctor of medicine or neuroscience so why does he call himself doctor in this setting.. seems like a con man.

Younity and Dr Joe where 5 star plus! The topics the mediations , thee music, the atmosphere but also the availability of information or of water were super! Why then not give 5 stars?
In comparison to Barcelona the location and local services where a lesser experience
- waiting line before opening missed structure and fences to guide the large group
- sometimes extremely long waiting lines for the toilet
- the warm food was really good, but the croissants and other snacks where very simple and a bit poor in taste
Thanks for giving me the opportunity to give feedback!
