The worst experience of my life
The worst experience of my life. Not a trustworthy platform nor trustworthy landlords most of the time they are companies inside companies inside companies.
The values to pay are not 100%explicit on the page they will charge you about 50% or more the value mentioned on the listing. Communication is very hard and not clear there is always a play between the landlord and the platform so neither of them takes responsibility. My room was nasty and not cleaned with hairs all over the place even in the fridge.
Because I complained and said that I was not happy with everything that happened they wanted to take me out of the house with less than 7 hours notice. Now I will be leaving in the last day of this month and will probably loose all the money they make you pay upfront.
It is very important for you to understand that some of this houses and rooms might not meet the criteria to be rented like such. Renting rooms that cannot be considered as such is illegal even though it might be in the description if it doesn't meet the living requirements it can not be rented. I rented a room with no windows which had a strong smell of mold and ir cost me overall about 2000 euros and they don't want to refund me or the landlord. This will continue to happen because if you pay attention to other reviews this is not an only case it is a practice.

Booking process issue resolved
The booking experience didn’t start that well. However, the agent that was in communication with me was very efficient. Joel was very responsive and helpful. He replied to my messages very fast and with the relevant information I needed. He explained the process in detail and I actually felt supported by him in sorting out my accommodation. I’m giving 4/5 stars because I had to send twice the booking request as the first one I sent got expired because the landlord didn’t reply on time and Joel explained that the Uniplaces team was unable to approve my request during the weekend as well. Therefore, I’d suggest implementing a contingency plan that works during the weekends. It’s important that this platform is available as we, as international students, are in different time zones and the platform should be able to account for the different time zones. Other than that, the booking process has been pretty good. I liked that I could pay using my PayPal account as well.
