If I could rate less I would. DO NOT EVER PURCHASE TICKETS THRU THEM EVEN WHEN THRU A LEGITIMATE WEBSITE. Just either don't visit them, or buy on site. I got charged SIX times and had to shut my credit card down while my credit card company investigated why they charged me that many times yet said I wasn't given tickets due to cc being declined. CC company said they absolutely did not decline. THIS COMPANY, TICKETWEB CANADA, IS A SCAM AND SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN.
I tried to buy tickets for Carole Pope at the ElMo which uses the TicketWeb service. However my attempt to pay for tickets using my credit card kept getting rejected for a bogus reason, namely that the address I was providing was not the same as on my credit card account. Absolutely not true, there was no address discrepancy, but there was no arguing with it. I tried at least 6 times There was nothing I could do, so I gave up trying to buy the tickets. I buy tickets frequently, always using my credit card, and never have had a problem. Very, very frustrating.
I had originally logged on to Ticket Master to book a Ticket in Winnipeg. After some back and forth with my friend re what date to attend. I thought I was re-entering Ticket Master.
Ticket web processed the ticket in american funds. The receipt didn't note that it would be US dollars.
I realize that I was hurrying to get the tickets, this is really on me in the sense of due diligence. However its still an example to how shitty Ticketmaster is.
It absolutely sucked! I tried and tried and tried and tried and tried and tried and tried and tried and tried...........................................
and tried to buy tickets selecting 2 people in VIP for the Trews. I have Starlink so I know my connection is good however apparently on your end it SUCKS!!¡!!!!!! I let my phone keep trying to connect last night to your site and woke up 3 hours later and guess what, what do you think? Dry Hump. No connection, nothing! I'm going to give you benefit of the dought tonight and try again and check 6 (hours) later. Wish me luck!!!!
COZY TORONTO July 23, 2025, using Ticketweb
I had a terrible experience with this company. While trying to make a purchase, the website crashed multiple times. Despite my card being declined during the transaction, I was still charged. To make matters worse, when I contacted customer service, they refused to issue a refund, even though the charge was unauthorized and no confirmation was received.
This is completely unacceptable. A company should take responsibility for technical failures on their end, especially when it results in customers being charged without receiving the product or service. I’m extremely disappointed with the lack of accountability and poor customer support.
I would not recommend this service to anyone until they fix their payment system and improve their refund policy.
Exorbitant fee for what? There is zero transparency and they can charge however much they want because they are the exclusive agent for the tickets? This is bull
I purchased a ticket for a musical concert from TicketWeb and they sent me incomplete instructions on what to carry with me on the day of the event. The instruction I received in both their email and ticket (and I read both) stated that I only needed my ticket with me. On the day of the event I was denied entry after travelling for 90 minutes to the concert venue because the person at the door said I also needed a physical copy of my ID to prove I was not under age (I'm almost 30!!!). I had a scanned copy of my photo ID on my phone which I always carry with me and use everywhere with no problems and I presented it but was denied access and they said I must have a PHYSICAL ID with my ticket. Having a PHYSICAL ID with your ticket was NOT mentioned ANYWHERE in the email and ticket PDF I received from TicketWeb! I contacted them to request a refund and complained about the lack of clear instructions from them but they refused to refund me and did not take any accountability. Even when I asked for my request to be escalated, they just kept repeating that their policy offers no refunds and they don't seem to make any exceptions regardless of what happens to the client and even when it's their fault! I would never use TicketWeb again and I highly recommend for everyone to purchase their tickets elsewhere from a company who truly cares about their clients and are not just after your money. A total rip-off and a very frustrating experience. Never again!
Scam. Go to another website these guys charge a huge service fee plus are more expensive then other websites.
Purchased tickets in Aug for a December concert. On day of concert, was still waiting for access to tickets.
Checked my visa bill and yep, they did a good job of taking my money. Eventually signed into Ticketweb account and showed no purchase or evidence of ever purchasing.
Brought this to their attention and told me they emailed tickets. Well, checked all folders and nothing. Their word against mine = this bad review. Unfair that this is the extent of my ability to make any amends. Feel like maybe the Grinch runs this company?
Very disappointed I bought tickets for a venue and didn't notice it was in the wrong city I reached out and was told there's nothing that can be done very disappointed.
I have placed an order with a wrong date (likely because i refreshed the page) and the customer service helped me exchange my ticket within an hour without additional charge. Great service!
Awful experience dealing with ticket web Canada. I’ve been speaking to them for 1.5 years about a gig that has been “rescheduled” to an unknown date. They are basically thieves. Customer service so frustrating to deal with.
I need to get in touch with them. There's a contact number at the bottom of the email. I called 911am. The voice recording says they open at 9am. It's now 1020am and I've called 7 times. No one answers. I've never had any issues with a ticket company before. This is the worst one yet.
We bought tickets to an event in Toronto. Had a death in the family and they won't refund the tickets. They want us to reschedule for a Happy Place while we are still mourning our loss (the event closed a few days after). Unfortunately it appears to me that human decency is not as important as their revenues.
