My experience with TopCV was actually very positive. I thought the work was well done. However, what they do not tell you is that they setup a subscription service, regardless of the package you purchase. They then charge you 18.47 a month!
Good service, but ripping customers off is not good business.
*Anyone using TopCV or Resume, please make sure these people don't get access to your bank account. Look out for charges going to RESUME.IO. They take a monthly charge and I think the CV writting is just a scam to get you onto the subscription*

Terrible service
Terrible service. Poor AI written CV that was immediately binned. Late and expensive - £549. Linkedin suggestions were poor. Used someone else - a human for a much better price who provided a professionally written CV in one day. The writer I did get paired from TopCV with was US based who wouldn't reply to emails. An absolute faff when I paid for a premium service for a tight turnaround. I also think they signed me up for some dodgy ongoing subscription with another company. Customer service is non existent. If you have recently been made redundant please, please, please don't use them. There are much better companies out there.

Appalling
My experience with the TopCV/Career.io package has been extremely disappointing.
I will give credit where it is due. Silas, the CV writer, produced a well-written CV. While much of its quality reflected the detailed information I provided, he presented it professionally and did a competent job.
Unfortunately, everything after the CV writing stage was appalling.
The job application service feels like a complete sham. It lacks quality, care, and any meaningful follow-through. The person handling the applications appeared to treat the work as nothing more than a box-ticking exercise (if not less), with no evidence of putting themselves in the client’s shoes or considering the importance of each application.
The quality of the applications submitted on my behalf was frankly embarrassing. They looked rushed, generic, and completely lacking in thought or effort. What made matters worse was receiving notifications within seconds that applications had supposedly been completed, giving the impression they were being fired off as quickly as possible rather than tailored to the roles.
I have received my fair share of rejections when applying for jobs myself, but I can honestly say that the applications I prepare are of a far higher standard than those submitted through this service. At least my applications reflect genuine effort and attention to detail. Based on what I saw, the applications submitted by Career.io stand no chance of success, even in a non-competitive market.
I paid for a professional service expecting expertise that would improve my chances of securing interviews. Instead, I received a rushed, impersonal process that did not represent me professionally and certainly did not justify the cost.
I cannot recommend the job application service and would strongly advise others to think carefully before paying for it.
