Headache, scammed, no customer service
Broken phone, couldn't get hold of the company despite repeted attempts (although if you press the option to buy a new phone you will be put straight though to an advisor).
Stopped paying contract due to breach of contract on their end. Paid extra than normal non phone contract rate for a few months (even after broken) so down money
6 year later im still getting repeted calls/emails/letter threats claiming I owe £800 for the cancelation of contract (phone was A15 worth £115)
Headache, scammers, no customer service unless your buying
Was a customer for many years
Was a customer for many years, seen the busines decline. Sad under different management this could be successful. My advice is steer clear of Vodafone.
I didn’t even want to give one star to…
I didn’t even want to give one star to them!! Don’t deserve any stars at all! Please don’t buy anything from them! They have the worst network worst app and worst customer service, I never thought anyone would be that bad, the app has glitch whenever you are trying to get anything done it shows service error, big stores everywhere but they are only for selling and doesn’t help with anything you only have to talk with an agent but impossible to get hold of them! The list is endless!
I went to a Vodafone fone shop today to…
I went to a Vodafone shop today to get top up for my phone and was essentially told she didn't have time to deal with my purchase and was told to go to wh smith which doesn't exist any longer I mean what on earth has happened to customer service i would have thought a voda fone shop would be a good starting point to buy a vodafone top up ???
Literally the worst experience and…
Literally the worst experience and longest waste of time I’ve ever experienced with broadband customer service.
I was trying to become a new broadband customer having never used Vodaphone before.
1st call - over 1 hour with no end result due to “system issues”
2nd call - wanted me to repeat details even though I’d got to the point of being credit check cleared and had an account number that simply needed the go ahead
3rd call - over 30 minutes long and “there are issues with your address on our system”
Next came a long list of text messages where tech support were trying to resolve this. The final message “sorry we can’t provide you broadband”
4th call - got through to a customer service provider - line got cut off
5th call (why am I even still trying) - got through to a customer service provider - got cut off
6th call - customer service provide called me back to inform me that he would try again for me but THIS time round, wouldn’t be able to honour the Uswitch price match that all previous customer service providers at Vodaphone said they COULD honour🤣🤣🤣🤣no reason given just “I can’t do it this time, sorry”.
Honestly, WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!
Suffice to say, I gave up and politely advised I will NOT be proceeding with Vodaphone.
I’m viewing this as a positive in that at least I won’t be locked in for 24 months with such horrific customer services. If this experience was anything to go buy, I’ve dodged one very big Vodaphone shaped bullet!
Doesn't let you cancel
Absolutely unacceptable treatment of a customer.
I cancelled my Vodafone Internet contract, which started on January 1, 2023, with effect from November 30, 2026. However, Vodafone refused to confirm the cancellation for that date and instead confirmed it for June 16, 2027, allegedly because of the “minimum contract term.”
The original 24-month minimum term had already expired long ago. I therefore contacted Vodafone in writing and asked them to correct the cancellation date accordingly.
What happened next is simply unacceptable: after I complained about the issue and challenged the incorrect cancellation date, Vodafone blocked my customer account.
Instead of properly resolving a dispute about the contract termination date, Vodafone apparently chose to restrict the customer's access to their account after they complained and asserted their rights. This also made it unnecessarily difficult to access contract information and manage the issue myself.
I find this particularly outrageous: Vodafone first attempts to postpone my cancellation by more than six months based on a “minimum contract term” that had already expired, and then blocks my account after I complain about it.
This is not what I expect from a reputable telecommunications company or from any company that claims to value its customers.
I will continue pursuing the matter and, if necessary, escalate it to the relevant regulatory authorities.
Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Vodafone to anyone.
Note: This happened with the German subsidiary but if you check online this kind of treatment is common across Vodafone locations
Vodafone left me completely without…
Vodafone left me completely without service after an upsell
I contacted Vodafone to arrange home broadband. Instead of simply dealing with my request, the sales adviser persuaded me to take out an additional mobile contract. I agreed after being told that I could keep my existing number.
At no point was I warned that Vodafone would disconnect my current mobile service and leave me without a working phone. My connection suddenly disappeared, and only afterwards was I told that I might have to wait up to 24 hours. I still have no mobile service. I also have no broadband. I contacted Vodafone to get connected, and they somehow managed to leave me with no connection at all.
This is not a minor inconvenience. A telecommunications company cannot sell someone a contract without clearly explaining that their existing phone service will be cut off. It is irresponsible, misleading and completely unacceptable. The adviser was clearly more interested in securing another contract than explaining its consequences.
Absolutely disgraceful service. I would strongly advise people not to trust anything Vodafone’s sales staff say unless every single detail is confirmed in writing.
I have faced a very bad experience with…
I have faced a very bad experience with Vodafone and now almost two week the problem is not solved
I was having internet home and I closed it in 3rd of June , they asked me to pay the full month of June and also they put in my bill July bill while I confirmed that I’m not gonna use even in June.
And now I changed my mobile to Vodafone i found bill of 120 in my account they said remaining from you bill , imagine the they paid me two month and they put more money in my bill .
I called them they apologized and said the will remove the balance and you line will work then they cut the line my phone not working. I call them send time they said will do it , again they cut the line
Imagine now is 4 th time they cut the line and it’s their mistake
I called every time the call center they give promises and I went to the branch they said we can’t do anything
Imagine how much I was suffering in those two weeks and now my phone not working because they stopped the line !!!!!!!!!
For a communications company they go…
For a communications company they go out of their way to make it as difficult as possible to contact them. Trying to cancel a broadband contract they messed up, 40 mins on their live chat being told constantly they couldn’t do anything and couldn’t give me a phone number to call and to wait 14 days to see if someone called me. Eventually got an email asking me to call them and just spent 29 minutes with a woman arguing with me that I didn’t place an order and that Vodafone don’t have a complaints process. Dire company
Disgusting service
Disgusting service. No customer care. After being made homeless as my landlord sold the property, was told I had to pay a huge exit fee, I explained that I was going to be homeless they said I still had to pay it as my contact wasn’t finished. Tried their vulnerable/ hardship department but instead was put through to 4 different departments none of which helped. Avoid this company at all costs
Avoid
Avoid.
Their customer service is useless and the my vodafone app is a glitchy mess, riddled with errors and bugs.
Half the time you can't login because the security code never gets sent. I've had multiple billing issues, most recent when trying to add data to my plan, kept coming up with an error, was charged four times, they took the money but never provided the service, when i tried to get a charge back they said there was nothing they could do, which is total BS. You cant even speak to anyone any more, there is no call centre just online agents who have no authorisation to do anything helpful.
The network speeds are patchy and unreliable, often only getting 20Kps for hours at a time, even when there is a signal tower close by and in clear view.
I have been with Vodafone from years however recently (last 6 months) the service has been intolerable, so i am switch to a different network.
Vodafone, sort out your customer service and your app otherwise your company will go bust.
Wish I hadn't gone with Vodafone.
Changed from BT to Vodafone, wish I hadn't. Useless customer service. Didn't tell me about pro rata bills, first bill is double. Trying to talk to their customer service team is like talking to a brick wall. I will change back to BT. They also don't provide the full amount of broadband I pay for.
Customer service so difficult
We went with Vodafone for elderly mother in law because they offered a digital landline with broadband. But...trying to deal with customer service is a nightmare, 4 weeks in and still unable to manage her account online, and not able to set up a landline calling plan. Don't know what to do, probably have to leave.

Joined Vodafone 16 months ago
Joined Vodafone 16 months ago. Can't wait for the contract to finish. Useless signal, so slow to start up, they as a company will not allow you to reach them by phone which tells its own story. My contract was supposedly a 2 year £25 a month contract. After 12 months my payment was upped to £28 and I was told there was a clause in my paperwork that I should have read it properly. Will not renew next year and will warn everyone to steer clear of these robbing bastards!
Their customer service is incompetent…
Their customer service is incompetent at best and obstructive at worst. Took hours and dozen call to solve our problem and 2 another 2 hours on the phone just to raise a complaint. Ridiculous negligence
Prices are very costly every month they…
Prices are very costly every month they keep on increasing the fare, government has to take an initiative regarding these companies and place a margin for all the telecom service providers am not only blaming airtel am using vodafone too, one is for business and other is for personal, if they keep on hike on these packs each and every middle class people in our country is in trouble, am not leaving jio too they are the one who showed the people the attraction about their telecom service by providing small scale margin during initial stage now it is the highest profitable company in telecom service network, all the low class, middle class and even high class peoples money is harvesting into their company accounts, government not at all taking care of bsnl company for future people's needs, my only request is kindly do place some margin for all these private telecom service companies, don't give burden for common people. This vodafone network not even am getting inside bangalore too feeble behind this they are charging highest prices on the common people pocket this is not fair.
