We booked a log home for 4 nights in Hirtshals. When we arrived, we found the house to be filthy. The floors and bathrooms were so bad, my wife spent 3 hours cleaning and further cleaning was still required. Sol og Strand didn’t send a cleaning person over until the third day. This very much affected our enjoyment of the house and the area, I asked for compensation and they offered a 500 Kroner credit; around $60 USD. I advised them that the credit was unacceptable but they would not adjust it even though we were greatly inconvenienced. When you consider that we were charged over $1100 Kroner for final cleaning, this is pitiful. They failed to take responsibility for their failures. We will not be using them again.

Everything was great, as always. We'll be back next year and are very happy with SOLG OG STRAND.

Great holiday home for families. Fast internet, microwave, washing machine, and dishwasher.

After arriving we found a house that had not been cleaned properly. The sofas, the armchair and the sofa blankets were full of dog hair and the seating and the house smelled quite strongly of dogs. The bedrooms are getting old and some of the blankets and pillows were stained. The bathroom is also no longer up to date and the shower curtain was moldy in the lower area. The rest of the equipment (TV, kitchen and terrace furniture, etc.) was completely sufficient. The location of the house is perfect, it is only a few steps from the property to the sandy beach. Overall, the price-performance ratio is only right if you only take into account the great location, unfortunately the rest doesn't fit!

Booking worked very well, very transparent information and excellent service.

We booked Apartment number 29 in the feriecenter. Not knowing how it would be, because while booking it was not possible to watch fotographs. Do not ever book this Apartment. It's the worst i've ever seen. The Bedroom is no Bedroom. Its a bed behind a smal wall. From the right and the left open. No doors. Just like sleeping in the hallway. Bathroom is a dark room. When you take a shower when it's dark outside you have to leave the bathroom door opened so that you can see something while standing in the shower. Needed to clean the shower bevore using. Bathroom floor ist full with staines. Everything is way old. Last renewing in 2006! Matress Topper with staines and glitter on it. Matreees probably as oldxas the Feriecenter. Matress for the other 6 people with big pee staines on them. Disgusting. Hotplates in the kitchen totaly rustet and full with staines, everything is dusted. Long time ago since last cleaning. No Closet for your wardrobe. Only a little nothing. No Balkony/porch. This Apartment could be booked for 6 persones. 4 of them have to sleep on old Matresses on the floor. When they are not afraid of the pee staines.

There is no AC. Just electric heater.
Never again. The service person wasn't realy usefull. Take it or leave it, long story short.
Be aware of this Apartment number 29.
3 years ago we where in another Apartment in this feriecenter. This one was quite amazing!
After all no refund. They made us to pay for the power.

wir haben die kostenlose Endreinigung nicht abgelehnt. Das Angebot dafür wurde uns erst gemacht nachdem ich über 3 Tage Bilder des Zustandes der Wohnung an Euch gesendet hatte., Erst nach unserer Abreise kam das Angebot und die Aussage wenn man gewusst hätte wie es in der Wohnung aussieht hättd man uns ein neues Apartment angeboten. Allerdings wussten Sie schon vorher wie es da aussieht rein theoretisch. Siehe letzter Satz.
Es sollte auch nur jemand kommen um die defekte Glühbirne am Bett auszutauschen.
Beim ersten Telefonat am Ankunftstag wurde uns ein anderes Apartment angeboten. Aber nur bei voller Bezahlung beider Apartments. Außerdem schreibt Ihr aus Eurer Website dass Ihr die Apartments vor Anreise der Gäste inspiziert. Also entweder seid Ihr blind, oder es ist Euch egal wie es da aussieht, oder das ist nur hohles Gerede.

This was our first visit to Romo and certinly not our last. Your service was excellent. The house was full to our expectation.The beaches
are excellent and we can fully recommend other families to enjoy a
holiday here.

Could be a nice and cosy house, but unfortunately the untidy bathroom plus ants in the kitchen did not make this stay as expected.

Very good communication, punctual handover. The house was very well equipped, super clean and a great location. We like to come back.

NEVER AGAIN booking with sol og strand - Sonne und Strand!!
What we exerienced?
We booked and paid a dog-friendly house with a fenced garden of 1000 sqm in Falster, we got confirmation of the fenced garden per catalog and by personal e-mail from the booking agency of Sonne und Strand.
No garden, but only the terrace (!!!) had a fence. Comment of Hotline: We are only human, those things happen.
Evening of check in for 2 weeks - no water!!! Main tap was locked, but no hint where to find it and open it. Hotline (by now only English speaking people) recommeded to go the the next ALDI supermarket, buy water and keep the bills !!! After several repetative calls finally a technician showed up and turned on the water.
First night - Hauptsicherung the electrical main fuse kept going off automatically every 10-30 minutes cutting off the entire electricity in the house. that included switching off the electric heating (not nice in December).
One day later, after ca. 3-4 hrs. of technicians in the house they identified one defective electric heater in one room, took it off and never replaced it - only asking suggestively "do you need that room" The room was left unheated for 2 weeks.
Internet / WLAN - not working from the beginning. A techniciat - according to the Sonne und Strand manager, said we had broken the router or a cable. To us it is a miracle, how we managed to do that by simple trying to dial in via WLAN. We probably have some supernatural power.
Sonne und Strand charged us in their final invoice (electricity, water etc.) 143 Euro for reparing a router. Besides that questionable charge, we had booked a house with WLAN but never had one for 2 weeks, but we also had a room with no heater ... so this seems to be part of the concept Sonne und Strand follows.
Because we strongly - and I admit - increasingly tempered kept complaining, the manager in charge of our house became more and more fed up with us and started accusing us more and more of things which we supposedly had broken. She started threatening us with charges and we finally just tried to avoid further arguments with her, as she kept using her technical staff to witness of what ever we supposedly should have broken.
We paid all in all 1650 Euro for the house for 2 weeks incl. extras. They listed a refund of a little more than 200 Euros for the non existing fence. Ridiculous - as we had only booked the house because of a fenced garden!!!
To take action against them because of this questionable repair of 143 Euro is not worth if. The place for court would be Denmark as we booked online. It would be complicated for us and cost time and neves without us winning much at the end.
Conclusion: Never ever again SONNE UND STRAND !!!! We have had enough of them!!!
One of the worst experiences we made with a travel / booking agency so far.
