Alex and Ian, two long-time plant buyers, set up Roots with the aim of bringing gardeners on a trip around some of their favourite nurseries. As much as possible we want a click on Roots to feel like a trip around a nursery. Almost as if you were there with the grower, covered in mud and beaming with pride as they show you their plants, answer all your questions and gives you advice you didn't even know you needed!

Plants were in excellent condition. Delivery could be better - they were simply left by the front door in full sun (I was in the house).

Outstanding customer service
Unfortunately the clematis was not very healthy on arrival - some leaves brown qnd crispy, some mottled yellow. Excellent care from customer services who immediately sent another plant. This plant is a gorgeous, healthy specimen. I cannot praise Roots enough!

So pleased with our Mulberry tree
It arrived in a box which had been so carefully wrapped to protect the plant whilst in transit.
Our little tree is now potted and thriving positioned on our decking.

I bought a bare root apricot tree…
I bought a bare root apricot tree which, sadly, didn't grow. Upon investigation it was discovered that the tree was dead. Contacted Roots and explained, sent some photos and the tree was replaced within a few days. Excellent service.

Really impressed!
Never bought from the company before, but I was really impressed! The tree we ordered (as a gift) came so quickly, and was really well packed. Tree was well watered (even in the heat) and was in great condition. I will be back to buy plants now for our garden! Thank you.
