Bought an Mielie under counter freezer from John Lewis in May 2025. No problem with product, until it broke down in January 2026! When trying to contact Miele, purchasers must except a very, very long wait for a response. When you have eventually reported the problem you will sadly find a over long delay in fixing the fault and incorrect information as to your details on the email confirming the appointment. So you try ringing them again! It took me 4 days to get through. Stick to Bosch.

Two weeks prior to X-mas last year my Miele Induction hub broke. Via my kitchen supplier Miele Ireland was contacted asap with request to repair prior to X-mas. Less than a week prior to X-mas I received a call that due to not existing spare part, in Ireland, repair is only possible on January 16th, 2026. Consequently, X-mas and New Year without a hub to cook. On Jan 14th I got the usual reminder of the appointment.
However, nobody showed up or even called or sent me a mail. Only after I complained by phone I received an e-mail with a meaningless apology and the new appointment of Feb 4th, 2026. I waited all day and again the same issue; nobody showed up or even called or sent me a mail.
I complained again by phone on Feb 5th, 2026 and was rather arrogantely informed that I am scheduled for Feb 11th, 2026. I waited 24 hours for a 3rd complaint to compose myself, A very nice young man by the name of Josh explained for the first time to me that the sparepart usually takes 11 - 14 working days to arrive in Ireland but found no explanation for the lack of communication and or supply chain problem. He was really understanding and nice and should be rewarded.
As a German and used to Miele quality it is beyond my comprehension how a renowned company like Miele can
a) not keep a minimum on spareparts on stock for an entire country
b) accept employees with such a level of customer disregard like the first phone contact
c) accept such a lack of communication in customer service
d) have such a general disregard of customer service in total
My personal conclusion as a 3rd generation client is that I can not recommend Miele any longer to family and friends. On Feb 10th it is my birthday; so Miele thank you for ruining my X-mas, my New Year and my birthday. I am sad that its impossible to give 0 stars.

I do not recommend Miele to anyone, not even my enemy! I initially bought 4 products: a dryer; a coffee maker; a vacuum cleaner and a washing machine. It all started when I wrote to them in November to request a technician...it all dragged on until now. Besides the idea that none of them were worth the money…only the coffee maker; but the washing machine came to me with defects; it made a lot of noise and because I was not at home I did not have time to call the service from the beginning but when I did it took a month for my problem to be solved, even though I had it under warranty! They changed it directly because it was defective and they no longer had spare parts, they brought me another one in exchange which, what do you think?! was new and that one with defects and I had to call and call the service support again who hung up on me no matter how many times I called them because no one came to solve it even with the broken machine!!! Likewise, in the case of the second car, a technician came after almost 3 weeks in which I insisted with emails and phone calls! The second machine had to be taken away and repaired…I had only had it for a week or two at most but I caught the holidays and didn't call them from the beginning for it either. He brought it to me repaired but what do you think?? It still makes noises and I'm going to write about them again! At these moments, I honestly tell you that my nerves and patience are at the bottom because it's some money wasted thinking that I'll have a silent machine, that's all I wanted but I ended up with the noisiest machine possible that I've ever seen! My mother has an extremely cheap machine and it doesn't make a sound and it's much more efficient than my Miele! A disaster! I don't recommend it to anyone! It's better to get a cheap washing machine and if it breaks in a few years, get another one and still not struggle like I do with this junk.

After sales service is dismal for such a luxury brand. After 3 phone calls with Customer Service and a “technical expert” lasting over 45 minutes, it still was not possible to activate the intermediate-level heat setting on my new induction hob. I was told to go to a Miele Experience Centre, 5 hours’ drive from where I live, to see a demo. I solved the problem myself via internet search - and found the Miele Product Manual gave wrong instructions.

We purchased the Miele washer / dryer T1 and have been really struggling with how difficult they are to use and with inconsistent results. Unfortunately you can't return them so we are doing the best we can however I would not recommend these. Lots of wrinkles, small loads only, heat pump drying system is inconsistent so we hang clothes all over the kitchen when they come out of the dryer. It's a lot of work to do laundry with these units. Love my other Miele products we've purchased but not these.

After paying over AU$3000 for a Miele dishwasher, our whole experience has been horrible so far. The official installer couldn't use our existing hoses and didn't carry Miele hoses so directed us to call Miele and order the expensive proprietary hose extension. This involved long waits on the phone and being bounced around between departments, waiting for the hose to be delivered, then another call with more waits and bounces. When the second installation visit was booked, it was mis-scheduled, so we had to call again, with more waiting and more bounces between departments. When the installation happened it turned out they were missing the kick panel that should have been present in the original box. So this required another call, more waiting and bouncing around departments... then when it was delivered we installed it ourselves. This is not the type of customer experience we expected from a very expensive brand, so I will not recommend Miele to anyone!

As a lifetime Fan of Miele over 40 years always buying Miele fridges, freezers, cookers, coffee machines, vacuum cleaners, dish washers, in recent years the new washing machines and the New eco & steam Tumble Dryer TVR780WP top of the range is not good enough. Each machine has had to be replaced under two years & the Dryer just been fixed after five weeks still has same squeak problems. The Miele UK website says WE ARE ALWAYS HERE FOR YOU in the last three years having rang at least seven times for help each time they answer the call and put you on hold then you have to wait at least 20 to 35 minutes is that really acceptable ?
The call centre was in Greece working from home and today the call centre has been moved to Asia Pakistan the staff try their best but Miele do not have enough engineers to do repairs Miele subcontract customer service when it should be in house. Miele is now run by the Grandchildren of the original founders. THERE IS THE PROBLEM

Chat- wrong spare part
Phone- no help and failed to organise refund
Invoice then sent for very expensive irrelevant spare part.
Totally waste of time and the most useless customer “ service” ever experienced
Will not buy anything else with Miele on it.

I am writing this to warn anyone in London (specifically the Marylebone area) considering Miele: Do not be fooled by the brand name. Their after-sales support is disorganized, unprofessional, and frankly, a disgrace to their luxury price point.
My dishwasher repair journey (Reference 1011075389) has been a masterclass in how to lose a loyal customer:
Upfront Payment, No Service: I called on Jan 6th and was forced to pay in full £250 just to get a booking for the 15th. Miele is happy to take your money instantly but seemingly incapable of providing the service promised.
Total Scheduling Incompetence: On the 14th, they unilaterally moved my slot to a Saturday at 5 PM via email. I replied immediately to cancel that time, because I will have guests in my house that time. They ignored my email entirely and sent an SMS next day confirming the wrong date anyway.
The "26-Day" Insult: After spending over 30 minutes on hold to fix their mistake, I was told the earliest availability is now the 26th of January. A 26-day wait for a household necessity while they hold my money is unacceptable.
Refund Bureaucracy: When I requested a refund to hire a competent independent engineer, I was told I had to wait for another person to call me back. They make it easy to pay but nearly impossible to get your money back when they fail to show up.
Consumer Warning: Miele’s "Forever Better" slogan is a joke. Their administrative chaos and lack of accountability have forced me to seek a competitor’s help. I am now demanding my full refund and will be ensuring my entire professional network knows to avoid Miele.
Let's see how long it will take to return my money.

Ordered and paid in full for a product that was in stock middle of September. Called end of December to find out where it was and was told the order had not been processed. I was then told that it would be expedited and delivered by January 8th. It is now January 11th. Still no sign of the item I ordered.

At the retailer delivery time was 5 days because the dryer had to come via Miele. So I ordered directly and was prepared to pay 65 eur extra. Delivery confirmed for day 2. End of day 2 nothing. No message, no tracking. So I called. Delivery is scheduled for day 6. I explained that’s disappointing given that the website indicated 1-3 days delivery time. But customer services was not very understanding. Next time: go to the retailer!

Genuinely appalling customer service. I paid £289 for a service - already a lot of money - and was told that this was paid.
But a few days later their payment system failed and didn't take my money. I know it was their fault because one of their team told me so a month later - he said it happens quite a lot! Frightening.
Instead, a debt collection letter arrived at my door - with an extra £90 added for an 'unpaid bill'! After several calls I found out that I still owed them £289. I paid it - and they said the remaining £90 would be cleared as it was an error.
It is now six months later and an 'unpaid bill' of £90 has arrived, yet again. I have just spent one hour on the phone to them again with no resolution.
They have suggested I pay the £90 to 'restore access' to the account then ask for a refund later! We all know that won't work but I'm at my wit's end.
I implore you: NEVER use Miele.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Disappointing Quality for a Premium Brand
I purchased a Miele dishwasher expecting long-term durability and premium quality. Unfortunately, both dish racks have developed significant rust, which is completely unacceptable for a high-end appliance at this price point.
I contacted Miele expecting a reasonable solution. Instead, I was offered only a 35% discount on replacement parts, leaving me with over $500 to pay out of pocket to repair a clear quality defect. For a brand that markets itself on longevity and excellence, this response is very disappointing.
Rusting racks should not occur so early in the life of a premium dishwasher, and customers should not be expected to absorb most of the cost for what appears to be a manufacturing or material issue.
Based on my experience, Miele’s product quality and after-sales support do not match the brand’s reputation. I would not make the same purchase decision again.

Terrible Repair Service. In Nov 24 our Miele Dishwasher reported a fault. We contacted Miele immediately who advised they could not send a technician for 5 weeks so advised us to contact one of Miele’s approved repairs which we did. The repair was $601 for a Feed Pipe.
13 months later, on 30th Dec 25, the same fault occurred rendering the dishwasher unusable. Upon contacting Miele on 2nd Jan 26, they advised they would not warrant the repair as it was just over 1 year and to make things worse, because we used their recommended authorised repairer but not Miele themselves that we‘d not be covered.
Disgusting behaviour from a company claiming to be a premium brand. Avoid the heartache - do not buy!

Bought a dishwasher for £1K December 2022. Thankfully (benefit of hindsight) “the brain” failed just before the 2 year warranty expired. Its replacement failed within a year. I contacted them to ask if they felt this to be reasonable or if they were prepared to ‘do’ anything.
It’s taken a while but I have just received their response. “ After reviewing the details, we can confirm that the appliance is currently outside its warranty period. Unfortunately, this means any required repairs would be chargeable.”
“However , like all electronic components, certain parts can occasionally require service over time.”
I am told that failed component is the most expensive component and I could buy a new dishwasher for the same amount. No,not a Miele product.
Both factually correct. For me though I don’t pay that sort of price for that sort of product/attitude.
Miele don’t have a service department they have a company that does their work. The engineer came and within an hour he determined that a sensor had gone but is unable to do it as it needs Two people to lift the machine on to the “table “ so they can work on it. No problem with that but it means I am back to the launderette as we speak. Miele should be ashamed of themselves. If you are going to fit sensors then make sure you use quality ones and make them accessible just in case? The Saga continues. Hopefully they will fix it before next year?
Great company to deal with, from start to finish. The delivery technician Lee G was great. Very helpful, courteous, and friendly. Thank you
