Potential Scammers
Potential Scammers, be carefull, dont wire them money directly. If you must, pay by credit card, although they will probably not accept it and reject your payment with a 'transaction failed' message.
I tried paying with 3 different creditcards 1 visa and 2 Mastercard cards (from 2 different banks). Directly by filling in the creditcard numbers and through Google pay. All were declined by phonemarket itself, when I tried to purchase the new z fold 8 ultra.
Like they were trying to steer me into paying by direct wire transfer (through IDEAL). Which gives me the impression they might be trying to scam people.
Important side note, I managed to buy this exact phone with one of the same creditcards, through bol.com (slightly more expensive) exactly 10 minutes later. Where it worked perfectly fine.
Draw your own conclusions. I drew mine.
Edit: my bank and company details are correct, proven by the fact bol.com did accept my payments, and many merchants before that also accepted my payments perfectly fine.

De beschuldiging dat PhoneMarket.nl een “potential scammer” zou zijn en bewust creditcardbetalingen weigert om klanten richting een bankoverschrijving te sturen, is ernstig en feitelijk onjuist.
Sterker nog: PhoneMarket.nl biedt helemaal geen bankoverschrijving als betaaloptie aan. Die beschuldiging kan dus simpelweg niet kloppen.
Wat je daarnaast niet vermeldt, is dat ons systeem in korte tijd maar liefst 22 betaalpogingen heeft geregistreerd, waarbij de opgegeven bedrijfs-/bestelgegevens niet overeenkwamen met de gebruikte betaalgegevens.
Onze betaalprovider hanteert strenge fraudepreventie. Bij dergelijke afwijkingen en zoveel betaalpogingen worden transacties automatisch uit veiligheidsoverwegingen geblokkeerd. Dat is hier gebeurd.
Wij verzoeken je daarom de ongefundeerde beschuldiging van oplichting uit je review te verwijderen en je bij de feiten te houden.

price: the price was very competitive; there was only one cheaper option by 10 euros. But I bought it from here because of the Trustpilot high score.
Return policy: I like the option to return the phone in 30 days, which made me make the choice easier and faster.
Delivery: I got the phone within 2 days. even though I ordered it on Sunday.
Customer service: I had a question during the purchase process, and it was addressed rapidly.
Recommendation: Check this site every time you want to buy something.

Very disappointing experience with PhoneMarket.nl.
I bought an Oral-B toothbrush through bol.com. After only a 3 uses, the screen stopped working. I returned it, expecting a reasonable solution for what seemed to be a defective product almost immediately after purchase.
Instead, the conversation kept going in circles. PhoneMarket.nl focused mainly on the missing original box and the fact that it is a hygiene product, rather than properly addressing that the toothbrush stopped working after only a few uses.
I understand that policies exist, and I understand that repairs can sometimes be appropriate. But when a brand-new product fails almost immediately, I expect a seller to take responsibility and handle the situation with common sense in this case giving me my money back as I had to buy a brand new toothbrush when this one was not working.
Their replies felt repetitive and impersonal, and I did not feel listened to as a customer.
Based on this experience, I would not buy from PhoneMarket.nl again.

This response is exactly the issue I experienced throughout the process. I was not returning an unused product under the right of withdrawal. I returned a toothbrush that stopped working after only three uses.
The fact that it is a hygiene product and that the original box was missing does not change the core issue: the product appeared to be defective almost immediately after purchase.
Even with the original box, the toothbrush could not have been resold as new, because it was already used and faulty. That is why I found the repeated focus on the box unreasonable.
I understand that repair can sometimes be part of a warranty process. But in this situation, where a brand-new toothbrush failed almost immediately and I had to buy another one, I expected a more practical and customer-focused solution.
My review is not about wanting special treatment. It is about the lack of responsibility and common sense in handling a defect.

However, in this case the product concerned a used hygiene item that was returned without the original packaging. Because of this, the product no longer qualified for the right of withdrawal as would be the case with an unused item. Despite this, we still accepted the product for inspection and offered a warranty repair/investigation.
We always try to handle these situations according to the applicable rules and procedures, especially with hygiene related products. Nevertheless, we regret that you are dissatisfied with how the matter was handled.
