Difficult to use and no possibility to cancel subscribtion
Difficult to use, especially the 'change text' mode. The user experience in all functionalities in generally not good and not many editing options are available. Also not acceptable that there is no 'cancel subscription' setting and that you can just pause the account for one year, after which you are charged again. Also not possible to remove the changing method. I had to contact the customer service to do that. Would definitely not recommend.

Had to compress a big scan before emailing it. Took maybe a minute. File went from 18mb to under 3. Happy with that.

Beware of subscription fee
No warning they're about to charge you for a subscription then no refund option. #updated#Requested a refund but they outright refused quoting their very unfair T's & C's. They wouldn't even refund the unused part of my subscription so as they charged my credit card I have started a chargeback request. They have updated their website partly due to this review I suspect so I hope that stops anyone else falling for their unfair practices

Beware of the automatic monthly subscription
I used PDFAid once for a document conversion and intended it to be a one-time payment. I was not aware that I had signed up for a recurring monthly subscription, but was later charged USD 39 on 7 August 2026.
I contacted PDFAid to request a refund and explained that I had only intended to use the service for a one-time document conversion. Unfortunately, their support team refused the refund, citing their subscription terms.
If you use PDFAid for a one-time document conversion, please be very careful and check whether you have been enrolled in a recurring monthly subscription. Make sure to cancel it immediately if you do not want to be charged USD 39/month.
The support team did eventually soft-cancel my subscription after I contacted them, but the USD 39 charge was not refunded.
I’m leaving this review to warn other users to carefully check their subscription status and card charges after using the service. What I thought was a one-time document conversion ended up resulting in an unexpected recurring charge.
