If I could leave 0 stars I would

If I could leave 0 stars I would. They sent 5 shrimp, 1 was disintegrated, 3 were dead, 1 died shortly after entering tank. The 2 snails were never alive, they're now just blending into the rocks. Never moved an inch since getting them. No customer support number. Terrible claims portal. Just skip this business all together. You'll thank me.

Very strange place I ordered shrimp…

Very strange place I ordered shrimp that they posted in stock but after ordering they said not in stock so I said please cancel so they said ok cost you 10% to cancel which I did and the 10% was not just on the shrimp but on shipping, tax and insurance. Not a very reputable place.

Crazy delay poor excuse

They never shipped my order and they kept saying it was too hot. On their own website they say they won't ship at 90° or hotter. the highest temperature between my home location, northern California and Washington state was 84° (I have to stress this was the hottest it got the entire time and it was only one day) all live animals are shipped with next day delivery and on days when it's hot they include the ice pack
if they actually ship it.
They also tried to charge me a 10% refund fee even after I pointed out on their own refund policy they have a temperature which the threshold wasn't met so I should have received my package by now ended up having to do a charge back

Check reviews

All snails dead on arrival! Shitty customer service. Getting a refund is like pulling teeth! DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!
Update: Refund finally processed. Review went from 1 to 4 stars as promised. Crap shoot here. But got my issue resolved eventually.

Fish arrived dead and deformed

Poor quality fish arrived dead and deformed (minor spinal issues on 2) Customer service didn't get back to me until a couple days later when I "missed the 24 hour deadline" for reporting issues. I've had good luck ordering shrimp from them in the past but am shocked at how poorly the fish came in and how strict their "live arrival guaranteed!*" policy is

Nine of 12 fish died within 72 hours. Shrimpy Business covered only two

I placed a $132.52 order that included 12 celestial pearl danios for $72.21, a Blue Dream Neocaridina breeder pack for $55.21, and a nerite snail for $5.10.

The order arrived after approximately three weeks, which I understood because the danios were listed as a preorder item. The problem was the condition and rapid mortality of the fish.

One danio was dead on arrival. A second died within 24 hours. Over the following two days, seven more died. In total, nine of the 12 fish (75% of the fish order) were dead within 72 hours of delivery.

The fish were placed in a fully cycled tank where the existing livestock continues to thrive. I reported the dead-on-arrival fish immediately, reported the second death within 24 hours, and contacted customer support again within 72 hours to explain that nine fish had now died.

Their response was:

“Thank you! We processed claim for 2 fish, since only 2 were reported within 24 hours. If you have any questions, please let us know.”

The response contained no questions about the tank, water parameters, symptoms, acclimation, or the condition of the surviving fish. Seven additional deaths were simply excluded because they occurred outside the company’s 24 hour reporting window.

I do not expect a seller to guarantee live fish indefinitely; however, when 75% of a shipment dies within three days while the tank’s existing livestock remains healthy, reasonable customer service should investigate the possibility that the fish arrived severely compromised and offer a meaningful resolution.

Prospective buyers should understand what this policy means in practice: once the first 24 hours have passed, the customer bears the loss, even when most of the fish die almost immediately afterward. Based on the condition of the fish and the company’s rigid, dismissive response, I would not purchase live fish from Shrimpy Business again.

This business was unable to ship my…

This business was unable to ship my live plants even though we are already paying an extra $20+ for more premium shipping options. They only to respond to email requests with automated messages that don’t relay to the topic your asking and they charge 10% cancellation fee per item even when the order was unfulfilled. Be very careful when shopping with this company. They do not relay their stupid company policies until AFTER you’ve purchased from them.

Bad customer service

Bad customer service. The Cherry Shrimp were good but the Chili Rasboras were pathetic! Out of 10, 2 came dead, 3 were sickly and ALL were so tiny you could hardly see them. Customer service gave me. $10 credit on a $150 order and NO support or concern at all!

DO NOT TRUST SHRIMPY BUSINESS

I bought 10 shrimp during a BOGO promotion and when they arrived, 3 were missing and 2 were dead. They took over a week before they shipped them and they just seemed to be thrown in a box with little care. When contacted about the DOA guarantee, I was not offered replacement shrimp and was only offered a partial refund so I was unable to replace the shrimp that were originally purchased without having to pay more out of pocket for the shrimp and shipping. I spent over $45 for the 10 shrimp and was refunded $12.75 to cover half of the missing order. They are probably okay to deal with when you don’t have an issue but they do not handle customer service well and remove any bad reviews on their website. I thought I would save a little bit of money buying during a promotion but you are much better off buying your shrimp locally, it will save you time and money in shipping and lost shrimp.

Do not recommend

Do not recommend! Terrible customer service. Did not address the fact that my fish were dead on arrival due to their poor shipment process. I received 4 different delivery dates for my order. Missed 2 days of work to receive my fish just for them to NOT be delivered when promised. They did not refund me for my dead fish. And their “refund policy” is only good for 6 hours after delivery, fyi. Will not use again.

Great Supplier

I bought a breeder pack of red cherry shrimp back in May. Fast forward to today and I have a very healthy population of shrimp in my 20G tank. So much so that I have had to transfer some to another 10G I had that was empty.
