Irresponsible lending confirmed by FOS…
Irresponsible lending confirmed by FOS – then treated me like I didn’t exist
Salad Money engaged in irresponsible lending, which was later confirmed by the Financial Ombudsman Service. They completely ignored the vulnerabilities I had disclosed.
When I tried to get help through a Debt Management Plan with StepChange, they refused to accept it. They then issued a default notice giving me only two weeks to act. Almost immediately after sending that notice they terminated the agreement – before I had any real chance to even read it properly, let alone respond or take the steps they were supposedly giving me time for.
After that, they refused to engage with me at all. When I tried to challenge what they had done, I was told they “couldn’t find my account.”
This whole process felt completely one-sided and unfair. I would strongly advise anyone considering borrowing from them to look elsewhere.
