Ordering is very easy
Ordering is very easy, and the shipping communication is excellent. This last purchase is my 4th Saatchi purchase. I returned a painting before this one because the paint on the picture was extremely shiny, which was not captured in the picture on the website. This last purchase was not entirely identical to the picture on the website either. It is much darker than expected. I decided to keep the painting, but it is the 2nd picture that did not match the picture. The others I have purchased were exactly as expected.

Following my choice of artwork, communication and purchasing was so easy and quick. I was expecting to wait for weeks to receive the painting, from UK to USA, but it arrived in a couple of days.
And, it was a great choice, the painting is all I hoped for.

You can't be certain the artwork is original
Saatchi Art advertises itself as selling original art, but there are copies of well-known artwork, with minor changes, sold as "original" and with no reference to the other artist's work. I flagged one piece to Saatchi and all they said was that the copyright holder could file a report if they wanted. So you can't be sure that what you buy is actually original art.

I have done many transactions w Saatchi over the years. They have all been seamless and flawless.
This one (+ a purchase of a companion piece) was a bit more nuanced. There were issues, including 1. Responsiveness of artist to initial offer, and 2) a significant delay in shipping the item, once I paid for item.
SAATchi staff, including S Wang + two others, were incredibly responsive.
They ate represent Saatchi well. 5 stars!

While appreciate what this company…
While appreciate what this company does, their customer service is horrific. Imagine spending $2000 or more on a piece of original art and having no customer service whatsoever - I get form emails, no response, and no follow-up. It's remarkably bad. If I was buying a $50 poster, maybe, but wow - this is really bad.
