Cervinia 1 week April 2026

My second nonstop course and it didnt let me down at all. Its less intense than the 11 Weeks in Banff ofc but i took it as the first training for my level 3 Certification! I enjoyed it very much with my instructor Jens and lots of laughs with my group. Hopefully one day id be able to also participate in this couirse but as an instructor to experience both sides :)

11 week ski instructor course- Fernie

Fantastic experience from start to finish. Max was super helpful during the booking process, even put me in touch with the resort to help line up a job before I even set foot in Canada. 11 weeks has turned into 2 years and I'm all set to go back to Fernie next season.

I paid a little extra for the single room and the accommodation was great. The food at the Red Tree was great- no choice, you get what you get, but never a bad meal. The staff there were awesome, super friendly every day and a pleasure to be around. The reception team were always great to chat to and vert helpful if needed

Sean, James, Ryxer and Lexey were all great hosts and always on the ball. There was a range of extra activities, some better than others but definitely something for everyone.

Most importantly, the wealth of experience between all the instructors was amazing. I came in thinking I could ski and I've left realising I still have so much to learn. Despite the challenging season, the instructors made the best of the conditions we had and always with a smile on their faces. Every day was an improvement and the entire journey was awesome.

Lastly, the mountain itself is great. Not too big, not too small. Lift lines are reasonable and a new express lift has been announced to be ready for the 27/8 season.

If you're thinking about it, just do it. My only regret is that i didn't book 5 years ago

Hey Jonathan — stoked to have you with us on the 11-week Instructor Course in Fernie. "11 weeks turned into 2 years" — that happens more than you think. Fernie has a way of hooking people in. Great to hear how far your skiing came too, opening your eyes to just how much more there is to learn. See you on the hill next season.

Honestly I had the time of my life

Honestly I had the time of my life, the teachers were amazing, the hosts, the town, all 3 mountains. I would do this every year if I could, they have so many awesome activities and everyone is super friendly. Special thank you to Kelsey, Marc and Pete!

Hey Gilbert — this is awesome to read. Time of your life is exactly what we're going for. Sounds like you made the most of the season in Banff — riding all three mountains and getting involved with Rockies life. Kelsey, Marc and Pete will be stoked too. Hope to see you back out there again sometime.

100% would recommend

The 11 week course was better than i could've ever imagined it been. The reps that we had on the course were fantastic and did a great job of organizing everything for us. The instructors were incredible not just for teaching skiing but the social side of the course as well. I would recommend this course to anybody. It will be one of the best experiences of your life.

Hey Ben — great to hear your 11 weeks lived up to the hype, and then some. The hosts and coaches are a huge part of what makes the course come together, from the skiing and landing your instructor certs, to how the group comes together socially. Appreciate the recommend — hope it's one you look back on for a long time.

Until next time

The Nonstop team both in Fernie and globally created the most friendly and accommodating environment. My definition of the team is not limited to the immediate nonstop employees but also the instructors, hospitality staff and other personal who assist the nonstop programs and extracurriculars.
Even while the Nonstop team revamp their business, you can only commemorate the staff for creating the most nourishing environment for people from every aspect of life.
I researched many options to do a season skiing, Nonstop hands down provided the most wholesome experience and I’d choose it again every time.

Hey Sian — great to have you with us in Fernie. The friendships are always such a big part of it, that's honestly half the magic of the 11-week Instructor Course, not just the skiing but who you go through it with. Really cool to hear the instructor training pushed your level too, coming from a competitive freestyle background. Congrats on a great season. Hope to see you back on snow soon!

Absolutely fabulous experience with…

Absolutely fabulous experience with Nonstop in Cervinia. The resort is perfect for April skiing, we had the best group, and our trainers (especially Harry and Anna) went above and beyond. My skiing massively improved through the week and I can’t wait to book another Nonstop course.

An outstanding experience

An outstanding experience. Spent a week at Cervinia with a wonderful group of skiers all of whom wanted to learn and an excellent patient teacher (Anna) who knew exactly how to add just enough every day in new techniques so you improved without feeling lost or over loaded with jargon. Accommodation was cozy with hugely hospitable staff. Lot's of great meals and apres with the team. Highly highly recommend this crew.

Hey Robert — thanks for taking the time to share this recap.

Love hearing how Anna paced the coaching through the week. That balance of pushing progression while keeping things relaxed and confidence-building is such a big part of a good camp.

And paired with spring skiing in Cervinia, good food, après… hard to beat. Hopefully we’ll catch you on another Nonstop camp soon.

The Non-Stop Cervinia Spring Technical Ski Camp

The Non-Stop Cervinia Spring Technical Ski Camp – Bluebird skies,
Thigh-Burners, and the "B^2" Effect**
Just back from the Non-Stop (NS) Spring Technical Ski Camp in Cervinia (April 19–24), and it was a ski sojourn for the ages. We’re talking six days of relentless, open-to-close, high altitude skiing in a gigantic expanse of what is a spectacular locale. Whether you call it luck or a gift from Ullr, we hit the jackpot: five straight days of bluebird skies and crisp conditions on those massive glacier runs.
CAVEAT: In blizzard conditions, those expanses could make for pretty difficult whiteout ski conditions, as it’s just snow for miles, no real terrain features and the run width-spacing, the length & vertical are big by any standards.
**The Ski Instruction:**
A unique perk of the locale was watching the Swiss and French ESF instructor groups training nearby. It was like having a live-action textbook; everything our coach Ben B (the legendary B^2, or "Double BB") taught us was being demo-ed by an army of experts right in front of us. As a self-described "terminal intermediate" looking to rebuild my skills, I found Ben’s coaching to be spot-on—he’s quick on the uptake and delivers customized counsel that actually sticks. He’s among the elite ski maestros, turns out he’s also a ski mountaineer! We were privileged to have him coach and hang with us.
**The Logistics & Crew:**
The organization was top-notch. Max and the two Claires handled everything with patience and grace, and on-site, Jens ensured the logistics were airtight (even for the most "peculiar" requests). Non-Stop opened a 4th group so stragglers like this author could get a crack at this camp!
**The Food:**
Surprisingly, Cervinia was a bit of a culinary desert.‘Cretaz’ is a worthy-visit (the "hairy" skidoo commute is half the fun, get the venison, melts in your mouth, a touch lean on size though). Ben knew the on-mountain spots—‘Chalet Etoile’ (the Curry Shrimp Pasta hit the spot, even our most exacting compadre grabbed it on our 2nd visit after getting a taste on the first!) and ‘La Motta’ in Valtournenche.
**The Social Dynamic**
The daily group dinners Jens organized were a highlight—nothing beats post-ski endorphins for making new friends from all over. Post dinner there was the customary visit to the local watering hole, the Ymmeltrob, surprisingly good bar with an excellent selection of Whiskeys and Bourbons (had Eagle Rare, which is rare anywhere!), and bartenders served up some colorful Cervinian cocktail concoctions which found an appreciative audience amongst the campers! Nights went on into the wee hours for quite a few…
**The Stay:**
Hotel Miravidi was excellent. Spacious, wooded rooms with long balconies offering front-row seat to the glacial seracs hanging off the cliffs above. (And for the ‘no eggs’ at breakfast rumor: yes, they serve scrambled eggs!).
**Our Group:**
Our group of six was a laugh-riot and then some! Between the laughs echoing across the Aosta Valley, the thigh-burning long runs, the good natured staccato of perennial banter, there was the proverbial "finger" (it’s on tape), one felt rather youthful again.
Summarizing, If you’re looking to sharpen your technical skills in a world-class setting with a crew that knows how to run a tight ship, this is it. They are at it Non-Stop!

Woah! You may have just written the most detailed Nonstop recap we’ve ever received — and we’re here for it.

From the bluebird glacier laps, to the coaching, the people, and the off-snow energy... sounds like the camp really delivered. Love hearing how much you got out of Ben’s coaching too.

Thanks for taking the time to put this together. Reviews like this really capture what these weeks are all about.

Non-stop technical that exceeded my expectations

I’ve recently returned from the Non-stop Snow technical camp in Cervinia, and I couldn't be happier with how it went. I was looking for a week that would actually challenge my skiing rather than just being another holiday, and this hit the nail on the head.

The coaching was spot on. The instructor (Anna) was brilliant at breaking things down without overcomplicating them. We spent plenty of time on drills that felt relevant, and the video analysis was a real eye-opener—it’s much easier to fix a fault when you can actually see what your legs are doing.

I’ve come away feeling much more "solid" on my skis and far more aware of my technique. I feel like I've gained the skills to push myself to the next level.

I was lucky to be with a good bunch of people. We were all at a similar level, and there was a great sense of camaraderie—everyone was encouraging each other, and we had plenty of laughs along the way.

Even though we were there to work on our technique, it was still a brilliant laugh. The balance between focused coaching and enjoying the mountain was just right.

Cervinia was a fantastic shout for an April trip; the snow held up well and the scenery is hard to beat.

A massive thanks to the Non-stop team (especially Anna) for a top-tier week. If you’re a keen skier looking to iron out some issues and have a great time doing it, I’d highly recommend it.

Serre Chevalier All-Mountain Camp

Just got back from an all-mountain ski camp in France and I can't say enough good things about my experience. Everything was well organized and thought through. Groups were selected so you were with people of similar skill and with similar goals for the week. Meals were incredible and instruction was top notch (shout out to Pierro). Most of all, my confidence for steep/off piste lines has greatly improved. I wouldn't have dreamed of skiing a double black run prior to the course and now I don't even hesitate!

Excellent Trip With Nonstop Snow

I recently returned from a month long "Master the Mountain" Snowboard trip with Nonstop and I cannot recommend them highly enough.

While it ended up being one of Fernie's worst seasons for snow in a long time, the whole Nonstop crew did their utmost to make it a hugely enjoyable experience.
Max and the Claires made the booking process and organisational side simple and pain-free and were quick to answer any queries I had.
Ryder, Lexey and James were excellent hosts in resort - always cheerful and always on hand to help with any issues, they made us all feel very welcome and helped organise extra activities for us like snowmobiling that made the trip even more memorable.
And a special shout-out to our coach Lucy H who made every day on the mountain with her special - she pushed us to improve our riding and managed to make even days with bad conditions still a ton of fun.

The MTM trip as a package is great value - the first 2 weeks were focused on improving our riding across the whole mountain while the second 2 weeks were focused more on backcountry skills and included splitboard and avalanche safety training before the crowning moment of the trip - the visit to the Boulder Hut (which is thrillingly accessed via helicopter).

Quick mention as well goes to the Red Tree Lodge itself - the staff there were all great and the food was top notch - missing those breakfasts already!

Anyway, I highly recommend Nonstop to anyone who loves snowboarding/skiing and I will certainly be booking onto another trip with them!

Great to hear the team and crew made the most of every day and kept the vibe high, even when the snow wasn’t quite playing ball. That mix of progression, good people, and just getting after it whatever the conditions is exactly what our Master the Mountain Camp is all about.

Stoked on the progress with Lucy — and that Boulder Hut finale to wrap it in the backcountry!

Learn to improve your skiing in Banff with Nonstop

My brother and I attended a one week improver course at Banff AB. The entire experience was fantastic. The instructors were top notch and nonstop's admin folks were very well organized and took care of all the details. In addition to the great on snow instruction, the course was very social and we met fellow skiers from all over the US, Canada and the UK. We would definitely attend another nonstop course in Canada or Europe. We felt that the value of the course was excellent.

Great guiding, almost zero learning

While the off piste guiding was excellent, there was only minimal instruction with the focus being the usual French “follow me”, so an enjoyable week but any learning or technical improvement was incidental.

Very happy to share more detail, contact me next week I’ll share all the details. Thanks.

Great to hear you enjoyed the guiding element, but we’re obviously disappointed the coaching side didn’t land as it should have. That balance between exploring fresh terrain and delivering real, tangible progression is a big part of what we aim for on every course.

We’ll be feeding this back to the team in Serre Chevalier and taking a proper look — it’s important for us to keep raising the standard.

If you’re open to it, we’d love a bit more detail so we can dig into it properly.

What’s not to love?!

What an amazing experience the 2 week “all mountain improvement course” at Fernie was!

The emails before the course even started were all so encouraging and thorough, the transfer arrangements were smooth and competent, and the hosts & staff at the Red Tree Lodge - as well as the Fernie Alpine Resort team - were hugely friendly and welcoming.

As for the Instructors - what an outstanding bunch! Highly trained, delivering well-paced and individually-adjusted instruction to small groups, very knowledgeable of their craft and of the mountain, and really focused on building a positive and supportive bond within each group - exceptional.

The “package” NonStop offer is just that - great accommodation and facilities, warm and comfortable rooms, plentiful and delicious food, super and generous hospitality, fabulous and varied skiing opportunities - and a real family feel to the whole experience in a lovely, authentic BC town.

So - 2 whole weeks with a team dedicated to helping you, in every way imaginable, to enjoy and improve at the sport you are passionate about! And 2 whole weeks with like-minded individuals of all ages and abilities, some of whom will become ski buddies for life - what’s not to love?!
