Avoid purchasing from them unless you absolutely will not return your items

Extremely bad experience using their mobile site to purchase repair parts. I was not adequately informed of the products being in backorder status (my order triggered backorder status).

You cannot cancel backordered orders for refund, you will only get credit. I attempted to cancel the backordered order within 24hours and had no exception or even consideration.

I would not recommend using this store for replacement parts. Consider other sewing machine part stores if you want a better customer experience and reasonable cancellation/refund policies.

When attempting to work with their team to resolve the issue, they not only were unwilling to understand my situation, but also just blamed me for not paying attention that the products were on backorder status, even though their website barely gives noticeable notice/warning, especially considering their policy on backordered orders.

Also, expect slow response time and presume you will have to attempt contact multiple times before you even get traction in your case if you do end up needing to work with their team.

Yeah My Personal Option is Walk on By. This place not worth the potential trouble.

I purchased a vintage sewing machine from Millard Sewing Center in Omaha because they claim that all machines are thoroughly serviced, cleaned and "adjusted back to spec" . Prices at Millard for vintage machines are substantially higher than elsewhere, but I was reassured that the machine would be in good working order.

Upon receipt of the machine I noticed the bobbin thread was stuck in the case; and I was unable to remove it. This minor issue was sort of temporarily resolved over the phone with someone who says she is Brandons wife. But the fix lasted only a few hours, because the machine needed a repair by someone who actually knew what they were doing In addition the bobbin would not winder would not work.

A couple of days after, the stitches began to "bird nest"; and the tension dial was stuck at 4 and would not advance beyond that point. I emailed Brandon, the manager, advising him of the issues and requested permission for me to take the machine to a local repair shop and requested reimbursement for doing so. Nearly three weeks passed without a reply from this guy. I then took the machine to local repair. The problem was that the spring in the tension dial was warped. My local repair adjusted it but did not replace it (as Millard should have replaced it before selling it to me) My repair shop also adjusted the bobbin winder and cleaned the machine (which had not been properly cleaned prior to sale). I was charged $38.11. I emailed the receipt to Millard and requested reimbursement for the repair. The next day I finally received an email stating that they do not reimburse and I was informed I would have to return the machine to Millard in Omaha for repair.. Sending the machine back to Omaha and back would cost me at least $100 since I am in NY. That did not make sense to me being the repair was only $38. But that is their policy (crazy or not) I have not received a postage free return label that I requested from him. This company, Millard Sew did not try to work with me even though the sent me a machine that had not been completely cleaned nor properly serviced by them as they had claimed it had. They refused to answer my emails suggesting repair options. The machine had defective parts and parts with part numbers that were for different machines.

The experience with them was and is negative. They attempted to but did not succeed in bullying me into accepting their customer unfriendly but also very illegal terms.

The Law is although the express warranty may require you to pay for shipping, you should expect to get what you paid for without paying additional costs. If neither the retailer nor manufacturer will make good, you might be able to cancel the sale under the implied warranty of merchantability. Again, this is where a chargeback or the threat of legal action might help.
You should know If you have a full warranty instead of a limited one, you cannot be charged for shipping or reinstallation. And a full warranty cannot be limited to the first purchaser of the product.
