No electrical certification, not based in the U.S. like they say!
We ordered 2 lights for $609. When they arrived, neither fixture had any UL, ETL, CSA, or cUL listing or certification markings. Our licensed electrician has advised that, without a recognized North American safety listing, he cannot verify that the fixtures comply with applicable US electrical codes and therefore cannot install them. When I emailed the company this information, they sent me some copies of random certifications they could've gotten anywhere. They said the UL certifications are deep in the lamp where you can't see them. That's b.s. When I said I'd like to return them, they told me it'd cost more than $609 to ship it back to whatever country they're from, even though on their website and in their emails they clearly list a WY address to mislead their customers into thinking it's U.S. based. I'm still fighting with them to return these before they set my house on fire. Be ware!!
I should have read the reviews first…
I should have read the reviews first but, alas, here I am. I had a very similar experience; poor communication, finally told after a month plus wait that the light was being held in customs and that I needed to pay the fee to free it (also told I would be reimbursed but wasn’t), and when I actually received the light the finish was not at all similar to the description and it had an oily residue covering it. When I asked how to remove the oil they suggested adding more oil with a rag?? The mounting plate is spotty and it doesn’t buff out. Overall, it’s a piece of junk that was over $500. Steer clear of Light Cove. Scam company.
As an interior designer...
As an interior designer, I'll admit some skepticism about an unknown online lighting company; sometimes the offer is too good to be true. But both the communication prior to purchase and product were well above my expectations.

The light arrived and it’s not even the same design and was very poorly packed
I think this is a sham company
I think this is a sham company, which is unfortunate because the designs shown on the website are thoughtful and elegant. We ordered two of the same fixtures and when they arrived they did not match (different sizes of various elements). We initiated a replacement and it had now been double the time promised and we still do not have a replacement. I'm an architect and my client is extremely angry. My reputation is on the line. The phone number does not work and the company refuses to address my problem.
I was supposed to receive this light…
I was supposed to receive this light anywhere from the 12th through the 18th of June. It is now July 6 and I still have not received it. When emailing customer service, they said I owe fees to DHL. First I’m hearing of this. And what fees, when I’ve already paid for the light in full? I would have never purchased this light had I known. Awful experience.
Did not get item.
The light is beautiful
The light is beautiful. However the screws to install it were too short and I had to go to the hardware store to buy several things to be able to install the light.
My experience was horrific!!
My experience was horrific!!! The light arrived over 6 weeks late!! The wrong light, pieces missing and very poor quality. I have tried to contact them for over 2 weeks requesting a return. Finally last night they replied saying I need to ship to India without a return label eventhough their return policy says label
Included. Phone number does not work!! Absolute junk and a pure scam!!! DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM!!
Shocking customer service.
Shocking customer service.
Mislead you about where they are manufactured.
Told me 5 working days. It has been over 2 months and still nothing.
Telephone number does not connect.
Really horrible customer experience
Really horrible customer experience. I ordered sconces based on the color on the website. The color was not correct when they arrived. After trying to exchange the light sconces, Lightcove became uncommunicative and would not begin the return process. For more detail, the product's image's finish is listed as raw brass on the website under the spec sheet, but it's not actually raw brass (even though it's listed on the website and I confirmed before purchasing with customer service and they said it was raw brass in the image shown). A total waste of money. Don't buy from them.
Returns must be sent to India at consumers expense
I ordered two lights from you that are not safe to install due to the installation requiring twisting the wire to get them flushed to the ceiling. When I emailed a request to return them, I was told that I would have to ship them to India, at my expense. Nowhere on your website is that stated. You appear to be a company doing business in the United States and then return returns. Must be shipped at the consumers expense to India, which is ridiculously expensive.
I will never purchase anything from your company again and I will make sure to tell everyone how horrible you are to deal with.
LightCove is a scam
LightCove is a scam! Beware- my package arrived late and the box has a pungent smell. This is likely due to the fact that it traveled a far way from overseas India. The scam happened when I wanted to return my light fixture which arrived like it was wrapped by a 5 year old. The brass and glass globe looked cheap and not what I saw on the website.
I requested a refund which was accepted since it was undamaged but they refused to pay for the shipping label to India which cost more than the fixture itself. Why have a US Wyoming address listed? There was no mention that the buyer would have to pay shipping to India (only that shipping to India would be needed). Wtf!
Order vanity light
Order vanity light. Too small and took too long. Asked for full refund- only gave 30%. Returns go to India so cost was $400 to mail back. Phone lines dont work.Buyer beware
worst customer service
I bought a lightcove brass light back in September. After a month wait (which was not communicated at time of purchase) the item got stuck in customs (also not communicated items are coming from India)
I had already complained about the item not being delivered and when it got stuck in customs and had already had found alternative lighting, I asked the customer service to ensure I would be refunded.
They announced they would deduct the DHL cost (also not communicated at order) and that the amount would be refunded to my card. That never happened. Worse is that all my emails chasing for refund and communication were completely ignored. As if this is a big scamming company. As an interior designer, I am disappointed by the shitty service and bad comms on order.
Item Not Received
Item Not Received
I ordered a light fixture at the end of Feb and it is the end of May and I have not received it. I have followed up multiple times over email. While they respond, there is no helpful update. The tracking link still shows that it is in India as of early March. The phone number does not work. I am disputing with my credit card company. I would avoid this company.
Update (May 26) - The company sent me a link asking me to pay $150 USD to ship the item again. It was never disclosed to me that there was a shipping fee. They have still not canceled the order.
Update (May 27) - I have been issued a full refund for the light. While I am grateful that this has been resolved, it caused a huge headache in our construction project as we will now need to hire another electrician to complete installation due to the delays. Customer service is still upsetting, particularly on lack of communication around shipping fee, no phone number working and confusion/miscommunication around delivery timelines.
Beautiful design
Beautiful design, nice quality, affordable price, responsive customer service. I had a good experience with this company and product.
Terrible experience with this company
Terrible experience with this company. They lied repeatedly about when the order was ready and when it would ship. I tried to cancel the order due to the chronic delay and they ignored those repeated emails and sent and charged me anyway. I have considered disputing it with my credit card company. Would NEVER buy from them again. Complete fraud.
Beautiful quality and unique light…
Beautiful quality and unique light fittings. Bought in raw brass so they will patina over time. I did chase delivery as a had not heard anything following order confirmation, customer service were very good and informed me when they would be dispatched and delivered - had no issues. Can’t wait to fit them.
Fabulous product
Fabulous product, well packed and delivered on time, thanks
