I’m a bit surprised by the negative reviews! I bought a system from Adam a few years ago and whenever I’ve had to deal with Liberty it has always been a positive experience and I’ve like the addressed my concerns well.
As for the person surprised by having to fulfill a contract, you’re in for a terrible time in this world if you don’t understand how contracts work…

Ever since Garda has taken over Liberty Security things have gone down hill. Customer Service is no help at all and do not listen to your concerns or answer them. My car was broken into twice in the last month and the security camera which is pointed right at my car did not pick up either incident. I am stuck in this contract and I just want out - do not sign up with this company.

when i first signed up with them the service was alright, glitchy systems that often would need to be reset to work for a few days.... but ok for the price, ever since Gaurdaworld bought them out, the service quality both from the techs on the phone to the physical products and services have become un-usable. the system is less than useless and my cameras are no more that wall art at this point... 100% would never recommend.

Very fast customer service experience, always there when help is needed or for billing issues. Very easy to talk to over the phone as they understand and communicate clearly. Highly recommend!

I have been with liberty for almost 3 years, I just had my first experience with with being robbed and was told by the RCMP that our cameras aren’t up to par for evidence. What am I paying for? Do not I repeat I don’t recommend liberty ever, my fire. Alarm is broken. They told me I needed to pay for that. My water sensor is broken. They told me I also need to pay for that. I do not feel safe in my own home with the security system.

If I could make it a -10, I would. Our experience with them was totally horrible. Our basement flooded over $40,000 in damage that insurance had to pay and not one notification from liberty and their fancy equipment. Apparently their sensors weren’t turned on and weren’t installed properly so that’s our fault? I just quit paying took their equipment back and let them send me to the collections agency. I don’t even care. It’s not like they are ever going to get paid from me anyways. They wanted us to transfer the contract to the new owner of our house when we sold it. She didn’t want it and I wasn’t going to make her take over something that didn’t work. How dare them. I would NOT recommend this company. EVER!!
Really think hard before deciding.
I'm locked in another two years of Pure hell. I was promised things they couldn't deliver sent the wrong tech out and gave me the verbal diarrhea why they couldn't install a product. 
I'm so upset with this company,  just a " I'm sorry response "  makes me sick. 
You think they would have done something for me but NO . a true rating would be a minus 4.

Liberty locked my elderly parents into…
Liberty locked my elderly parents into a 3 year contract without explaining the duration & did not provide them with a copy of the signed contract. They refuse to take a notice of cancellation now so I will be forced to remember to cancel in 2 year’s time when the contact ends since they have AUTOMATIC month to month renewal after that period. In my opinion this company is extremely shady & preys on the elderly. Absolutely disgusting. Would not recommend them to anyone.

I wish they have 0 star. I had them for about 4 years, paying $45 each month. Everything was fine as I didn't have issues, then one day a couple of months ago a leak happened exactly where the water sensor was there. The adjuster had a bad attitude and offered one month off, even though I explained that the door frame would need to be replaced and it would cost money. Totally unhappy customer here. Time to change security company!!

Well it is just like everyone else has been saying.... had the system for the full term of the contract and now that we cancelled the service we can't use the system with our phones.....so in other words we cannot see the cameras if we are gone away or adjust the furnace from any other part of the house which is a pain in the ass considering I am in a wheelchair and for the reason for getting the system that we were told that could be used even if we cancelled after the term.
DO NOT GO WITH LIBERTY......
THEY WILL SCREW YOU OVER 
All we would like is to be able to see the cameras and use the thermostats....

If I could give zero stars I would. Absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. From them having tech issues pulling my payments and screaming at me over it (which I have written proof from them it was a tech issues in their end) to now them taking DOUBLE payments out within a one week range. 
Do yourself a favour and get another security company. I will be telling everyone I know what a joke they are. Additionally, I would think for a Canadian company when I call I would be able to speak to someone who actually speaks English. That would be a plus.

Absolutely the worst company ever. The alarm went off in the middle of the night, no response from the company at all. No call, no check in nothing! As a customer of a security company you are supposed to be taking care of the well-being of my house and no one is monitoring the system. It is a complete scam. I canceled over the phone and they are still charging my credit card for 3 months. 
The lady on the phone is ruthless as well you can tell she is coached by her managers to be as much of a b*tch as possible.

My business got broken into twice in less then a year and both time's liberty security failed to dispatch police or notify me. One thief spent 2hrs in my business and no police were ever dispatched. I tried to cancel my services after this mess for many months with many phone calls and they refused so I had to put a stop payment on my credit card. They kept charging me and calling me for almost a year trying to make me pay even though I had tryed to cancel many times. Now they have sent me to collections over there poor business pratices. The worst security company I have ever had to deal with. Do not get trapped by these cons. They will tell you a bunch of lies but in reality no real security services will ever be used to protect you. They only care about the monthly subscriptions.

I DO NOT RECCOMEND LIBERTY SECURITYI had a 5 YEAR CONTRACT and months before the Contract was up i contacted Liberty security to go over what i needed to do to close the Contract. They explained that 1 month before the contract is up i needed to contact them. My wife and i were in the room when i spoke with Liberty, i called April 26th 2024,1 month before the contract was up and was ASSURED that there would be no charges after May 2024. In July I was checking CC statement and saw that there were charges from Liberty. I called very upset and Liberty told me that they didn't receive a cancellation letter. They did not tell me in the other 2 times i called that i needed to send a cancellation letter. Liberty said i was told. WHICH IS A LIE, i am computer literate and would have sent an e mail ASAP. Liberty Security refuses to reimburse me my money !! Im so glad i caught their scam before they got more money out of me.!! I will never use this company and I DO NOT RECCOMEND LIBERTY SECURITY
