One night Summer stay
We had a one night stay for a family of 4 adults and 1 child. The suite we booked was perfect for us and very reasonably priced. The hotel is located fairly close to Whistler Village but the free shuttle was a must for us and runs every half hour. Overall very happy with every aspect of our stay.

Their booking process and accommodation…
Their booking process and accommodation quality, but also the cancellation process and communication due to the wildfires even though it was not fully refundable. Shows great business sense and has gained loyalty from us; although we are unable to go this time, we are planning to make it later this year and will rebook with the same.

Do NOT use Leavetown nor rent…
Do NOT use Leavetown nor rent Beachfront condo in Cape May New Jersey on the second floor with an Elevator. Can’t state address but do the research. Besides not having an Elevator for over 48 hours, the place was dirty, poor maintenance, ants and furniture including sofa and beds, lumpy and worn out. At over 7,000 a week ( VRBO AND LEAVETOWN charged over 1500.00 MORE than local Realtors) don’t trust them.
According to THEIR VRBOcare statement, knowing the elevator BEFORE we arrived was out of service and the accommodation were not was we paid for, we should have been offered different accommodations, push back our arrival date, cancelled with no fee.
NONE of that was offered.
Stay away from LEAVETOWN. Go with a local realtor who cares about their clients.

We booked a House on a campsite
We booked a House on a campsite. When we where there, the family we where travelling with had suddenly no booking and had to pay again. There were several families in the office with the same problem. Campsite gave us the number of Leavetown, they where not available. We decided to leave an not pay again - suddenly the booking reappeared. After a week we got onlyAKI-messages about if everything is good, so obviously they don't really work together.

Our family had a wonderful stay. The location was conveniently close to bus stop to get to downtown within minutes. Our place was quiet and peaceful. The front desk was super friendly and helpful. Zero empathy and terrible communication…
Zero empathy and terrible communication during a medical emergency
I booked a stay at the Inn at Otter Creek in Oregon through Leavetown on Airbnb. Unfortunately, due to a severe illness, I had to cancel three weeks before my stay. While I understood the 48-hour cancellation policy, Leavetown told me they would request a refund from the property if I provided proof of my illness.
However, because the reservation was canceled, the Airbnb chat blocked attachments. When I asked Leavetown for an email address to send my doctor's note, they refused to provide it, claiming they weren't allowed to share it. I had to spend my own time researching online to find a public email address that their support team could have easily assisted with.
To make matters worse, the property’s direct policy is much more flexible than Leavetown's, and the room was successfully rebooked anyway, meaning only I lost money. Leavetown showed zero empathy or willingness to help a sick customer. Book directly with the property instead to avoid this predatory middleman customer service.
Update - after they found my negative review of them online and I sent an email to both them and the manager of the hotel detailing what they had said and done to me and requesting the refund I was due, they finally gave me a refund. They also asked that I take down my review. I will not take it down. I stand by my review - they never would have given me a refund if I hadn't pushed so hard. They need to learn to have better customer service.

Although your reservation was booked under a non-refundable cancellation policy, we still advocated on your behalf and worked with the property to request an exception due to your medical circumstances. As a result, you received a full refund for your reservation.
Following your review, we also made several attempts to contact you directly to discuss your experience and resolve any remaining concerns, but unfortunately we did not receive a response.
While we respect that your experience did not meet your expectations, we do not agree with the suggestion that we lacked empathy or were unwilling to help. Our team worked within the booking platform's limitations and continued to pursue a positive outcome, ultimately securing a full refund despite the original cancellation policy.
We always welcome constructive feedback and continually look for ways to improve our service. Should you wish to discuss your experience further, our team remains available and would be happy to speak with you.
