Unfortunately a bad experience
Today, when I arrived to collect my 7-month-old dachshund after surgery, my veterinarian informed me that the insurance claim had been declined because Lassie’s records showed that my dog had been insured after 120 days of age. This information is simply incorrect. I took out the policy when he was 7 weeks old and have been paying for their premium insurance plan ever since.
I was later informed that this decision was based on an error on Lassie’s side.
What concerns me is not the cost of today’s procedure. It is that a decision regarding my dog’s coverage was made based on incorrect information in their system. Had this been a more expensive procedure, the consequences could have been significant. A mistake like this should never happen.
Pet insurance is built on trust. When incorrect information in a company’s own records leads to a claim being denied, that trust is seriously undermined. As a customer, I should be able to rely on the accuracy of the information held and the decisions made based on it.

Long process of reimbursement
The process of reimbursement when your dog is sick takes way too long. The support say it takes at least 30 days for them to process the reimbursement, which is a bad experience.
However, reimbursement for vaccination is quite fast.

In some cases, claims related to illnesses require a more detailed review and additional medical assessment, which can unfortunately lead to longer processing times than routine preventive care such as vaccinations. That said, we understand that this does not meet the experience you expected from us.
