I used ineedppi twice

I used ineedppi twice. They have a fast turn around time; usually one day. They are fairly thorough. They didn’t check the transmission fluid on either of the times I used them. Though the inspector said I could contact them with any questions. Both times I used them the inspector never got back to me.

iNeedaPPi failed the purpose stated on…

iNeedaPPi failed the purpose stated on its website to identify any existing or potential issues that were affecting the car's performance, safety and overall value prior to the car purchase and therefore passed the car that another company found not roadworthy. iNeedaPPi mobile inspection omitted issues, misrepresented the vehicle's condition & reported an existing major issue as a minor issue. Don't know if they're any good because…

Don't know if they're any good because they don't show up.

The first time I tried to use their services, I only found out a day later that the ONE mechanic in my CITY had a 'flood' in his area so couldn't make it, that his availability was unknown. They didn't even call to tell me this. It was only after I sent multiple messages for an update that I was told this.

Two weeks later I tried again as I hadn't found a car yet. I filled out the form, PAID again, received confirmation by email then nothing. Finally the next day someone from the company called me advising the mechanic "decided to take his family on a nice camping trip" so he couldn't complete the inspection until next week. We all know that sellers aren't going to wait. This company's website boasts same day service. That certainly wasn't my experience.

And yes they said a refund will be issued though I'm still waiting (should be any day now they say).

scammy vibes, not same-day

This company is advertised as same-day service and couldn't book me until two days later but wasn't transparent about that until the day was nearly over, which had me passing up other sooner appointments with local mechanics. It put both me and the seller in a bind, as I need to make the decision ASAP so that he can pay his bills by the end of the month in a few days. I will say they refunded me but I get very scammy vibes from this company. Call a mechanic!

Incompetent prepurchase inspection!

1) iNeedaPPi failed the purpose stated on its website to identify any existing or potential issues that were affecting the car's performance, safety and overall value prior to the car purchase and therefore passed the car that another company found not roadworthy. iNeedaPPi mobile inspection omitted issues, misrepresented the vehicle's condition & reported an existing major issue as a minor issue.

2) iNeedaPPi's website states in terms & conditions that its services aren't reliable, accurate, or error-free & offers no guarantees. In my opinion, these terms & conditions are convenient to the company to protect themselves against any claim, but unfair as a customer who paid this company to perform a competent and diligent inspection just becuase iNeedaPPi failed its stated purpose to reveal maintenance shortcomings that could become not only safety but also financial setbacks prior to the car purchase and sown tne road.

3) iNeedaPPi mobile pre-purchase inspection report didn't even include any identification of a licensed mechanic.

4) Apologies for the mistakes, a refund for the inspection and low offer DON'T make up for the thousands I may have to lose by selling the vehicle for cheaper or I would have to invest to get the vehicle repaired.

5) Regardless of the type of inspection, the issues were in the scope of iNeedaPPi pre-purchase inspection. It seems that the inspection was carried out with negligence.

*Another case of how this company also failed and can be found online in CVT EdmontonNews: "Mobile vehicle inspection company passes a vehicle others would've found not roadworthy."
