The adult social care mental health…

The adult social care mental health services provided by Hampshire County Council are, in my experience, absolutely diabolical. My daughter, who suffers from severe mental health conditions, has been profoundly let down by a system that claims to protect the vulnerable. The failure of these services was so severe that it led my daughter to attempt to take her own life.

The staff within these services have proven to be unhelpful and unprofessional. Instead of providing a safety net, their lack of compassion and care actually pushes individuals further into emergency mental health crises. It is not an exaggeration to say that their negligence creates the very emergencies they are supposed to prevent.

Furthermore, the accountability process is fundamentally broken. When you attempt to escalate concerns to the Care Quality Commission (CQC), you discover a disturbing lack of impartiality. Complaints are not managed independently; instead, they are redirected back to the local authority—the very organization being complained about. This cyclical system allows the council to cover up professional failures and continue a cycle of neglect without consequence.

The government is allowing this corrupt lack of oversight to continue, and we are seeing the direct results in the increasing rate of suicides. These services are chronically under-resourced, understaffed, and under-financed, but that is no excuse for the human cost. Vulnerable people are losing their lives because they cannot access the help they desperately need.

Something must change drastically. We are dealing with human lives, not just files on a desk. My daughter deserves justice, and the public deserves a system that provides genuine care rather than one that ruins lives through systemic failure.

A team closed the tiptoe road which is a small rural road on 30/01/26. No signage placed further along the road warning drivers. This then caused drivers to turn into private drives to find another route. A very large tractor with a trailer then attempted to get through and was unable to turn around and had to sit and wait for the works to be completed. This meant I was unable to get out of my driveway. Poorly trained, lazy and unprofessional. A road closed sign half a mile up the road would have prevented this.

Total scammers

Total scammers. In Winchester, a tiny parking permit area sign hidden behind larger signs and placed over 3 meters high on the opposite side to where the drivers eyes are looking as they go through a junction so the driver cannot see it. No repeater signs along the roads so if you miss the deliberately badly placed single sign and park on quiet residential roads you will get a £70 fine. This is just a money making scam.

0 STARS

If 0 stars were possible I would give that! Roads are not maintained to any kind of standard. Pothole caused £500 of damage to my car, and the council was not interested in offering any kind of compensation. Their reason being that it was not there when inspected, and had not been reported prior to my incident.... however, having looked on google street view, with images taken 3 months before inspection it was very clearly visible. Again - when shown the new evidence they were not interested. Absolute joke of a council. Council tax rising, road tax rising, and all for what?

Thieving barstewards!!!!

Thieving barstewards!!!!
They gave me a ticket on my car when I was visiting the doctor surgery about something quite serious we ran over because the nurse insisted the doctor see me and it took longer than expected.

Unfortunately, my mind wasn’t on parking tickets at the time and when I appealed it of course some twerp in the office decided they wouldn’t show any compassion which is about right for somebody who is capable of being anonymous and can’t even put their name on a letter!

No wonder people fly tip.

No wonder people fly tip.
When you go to the tip after loading your vehicle find its empty and then told you cant dump your rubbish as you don't have an appointment, there were 4 other people there that's all.

Brain dead so called civil enforcement…

Brain dead so called civil enforcement officer pv152 on mumby road,12/7/25.
This excuse of a person illegally stuck a parking ticket bang in the centre of the drivers view of the road on my windscreen, the parking ticket I do not mind as I never realised but leaving lots of glue residue on my windscreen so I could not drive is totally unacceptable.luckily for the idiot ,they were nowhere to be found when I returned or I would have personally made them clean my window.this cost me £1.99 as I had to go to a local shop in the high street and purchase cleansing wipes to continue my journey.the story continues, I ring Hampshire county council to file a complaint after I paid the penalty charge.the very rude and arrogant man on the phone at 2.50pm on 15/7/25 says he does not like my call and complaint and terminates the call. I will be taking this matter further and will be seeking an apology and compensation,I have no idea what sort of employees the council employ but if this is anything to go by,I’m glad I do not live in Hampshire!!

Careless bin workers

Every week I hope and pray that they put our bin back in its place. However, everyone’s bins are never put back normally! I believe this major issue needs to be fixed as it’s such a hassle to walk outside the WHOLE road to collect our bin.
I would also like to complain about their placement of the bins, the careless workers are throwing the bins back when they should be wheeled back as normal. This is so detrimental and inconsiderate especially for the elderly living around.
Do better Hampshire!

What are we paying for???

Totally incompetent. Usual bull about not being a problem and meeting their criteria. Year on year the service levels drop and they still have excuses for not carrying out their statutory obligations. Utter farce of a council. Mongolia has a better road network than ours !!

Useless unaccountable nimbys

Useless unaccountable nimbys
Have reported a highway flooding issue more than 10 times now - they insist there in no work needed, even though the water covers both lanes of a busy B road and is almost knee deep. Not sure where my ££££££'s of council tax goes ? but its not on the roads.

Shambolic is too kind a word!

I have to admit that council staff (my wife as a teacher included) work really hard, but the management at Hampshire County Council should be replaced. A shambles would be too kind a word for both our county and city councils, they both seem broken at the core, and it is the opinion of most everyone I know that a thorough overhaul is required.

Gutless Coucil

Have never been treated with such dumb ignorance by any organisation. After refusing a arrogant and rude teacher access to my school coach a few weeks later after doing this same run for 3 years l was suspended. This was at Hounsdown School and the Deputy Head aided by the Head Teacher seeking revenge by reporting me for Safe Guarding. 14 children wrote supporting me and a year 11 pupil wrote a wonderful letter but they ignore it all. In 6 months they have refuses to speak with me face to face or talk to the children. What a gutless group of people of people. Parents have even told me l have their full support. I had to give up my job as they banned me completely from that school and as l would not admit l was wrong and go on a woke course l am now banned from every School in Hampshire. They now have banned me from communicating with them. Biggest load of gutless parasites l have ever know. Warning to all coach drivers keep away from Housdown School as they will not only not support you but will cost you your job if you have sn issue with them.

Ineffective uninterested repeated poor service

Had an issue with a commercial vehicle being abandoned right outside relatives property for 1 day+ at a time, but in a 1 hour max parking restriction residential area. Spent MONTHS filling in online parking contravention forms which I was told were received instantly by parking team. Eventually complained to Parking Services Manager over a lack of action i.e. visits / interest. After a year of reporting this matter, I must have filled in online form 15+ times. Never any tickets issued to the vehicle, not one, and not a single visit by parking team noticed !

Total failure is the only description. I have never witnessed such a poor and ongoing failure to deal with a simple contravention.

96% - 1 star, says it all....

State of roads

Hamshire Highways are most unhelpful.
The state of the road in Beaulieu caused £1000 of damage to my car wheels and tyres. It took 90 days of inefficiency to send details to their solicitor. who claimed that they were not responsible as the road was inspected 6 weeks before Total utter nonsense and now avoidance tactics hoping that i will eventually give up the claim. I wont There are similar poor stretches of road that have not been tended to. Loads of photo evidence but quite frankly having paid taxes to the county for 50 years they will try every avoidance possible to be fair when without doubt they are at fault
