Fake Proof Of Payment And Illegal Occupation Of My Mother’s Home
I am posting this review on behalf of my 68-year-old widowed mother, Julia Dimakatso Mavimbela, regarding our experience with Kratos Retail Group PTY LTD, CEO Grant De Klerk, and Pamela Cookson. Grant De Klerk signed a lease agreement under Kratos Retail Group PTY LTD for my mother’s property at 7 Mt Lindsley Street, Midlands Estate, Midstream. The agreed rental amount was R35 000.00 per month. Since March 2026, rental payments stopped almost entirely, with only R12 000.00 paid while continuing to occupy the property. During this time, we were repeatedly promised payment and were provided with alleged proof of payments from Discovery Bank which, after investigation with the bank, could not be confirmed.
The tenants agreed to vacate the property on 30 April 2026 and an exit inspection was arranged. However, on the same day they attempted to impose an extension of the lease without consent, which was rejected. Despite this, they remained in occupation of the property without paying rent.
This property is my widowed mother’s primary source of income, and the financial and emotional strain caused by this situation has been severe.
I would urge landlords and service providers to exercise caution and to ensure that all agreements and payments are properly verified when dealing with Kratos Retail Group PTY LTD.
