Denying AI bots used in customer service calls

I have called in twice in the past week and definitely spoke with the same AI bot who sounded mostly human, even had "ums" and random pauses with typing on keyboard sounds. It denied being a bot when I asked it but I have listened to enough "natural" sounding AI on other platforms. I've also worked with people who sound fairly robotic. No one would ever convince me the same voice with the odd scripted pauses is human.

I had great service from the bot the first time with a relatively simple matter.

The second time I called in, it gave me completely incorrect information which would have cost me a lot. I accused it of being a bot and it denied it. I had to argue with it to get it to put me through to a real person. I was transferred to a real person who used much of the same script but was clearly real, no unnecessary keyboard sounds. He was able to troubleshoot my issue and find a solution that didn't cost me.

I don't mind dealing with the bot for simple matters. I DO mind the deception.

Fidelity is the worst company

Fidelity is the worst company, I have ever dealt with

when it comes to handling a simple transfer of a retirement account (401k). For two months—every time I called to speak with a representative—not a single person took the time to look into the details of my account; instead, I was repeatedly given incorrect information. This caused a significant delay in the transfer. Richard, the customer service manager, showed absolutely no interest in helping me access my OWN MONEY! Weeks turned into months, and my funds remained locked up. It was incredibly frustrating and stressful to know that my assets were tied up, with no communication or transparency whatsoever. major issues with delayed account payments, restricted access to funds, and poorly managed bureaucratic processes that made standard transactions extremely difficult.

wasnt happy with the service, I felt completely powerless throughout this endless ordeal, as nothing seemed to be moving forward.
After trying—unsuccessfully—to resolve the issue on my own, I finally contacted—Vanguard AIliance Group—They stepped in, reviewed my case, and got the situation under control. They kept me updated throughout the process and handled the matter professionally until it was resolved. In the end, I managed to get all my money back.
What initially seemed reliable turned into months of stress and uncertainty. I would strongly advise against entrusting your money to a platform like this.

serious problems

There is a serious problem here with trying to get a simple thing attended to.. No return calls on several messages... being transferred back and forth... terrible hold times. I would never invest here after these experiences. Terrible customer service.

First off I was shocked about the…

First off I was shocked about the reviews here being with Fidelity since 1999. My issues started recently when I called to switch from managed to self-directed accounts. $10k per years is crazy for the cookie cutter service. That an I feel much more comfortable doing my own finances. They weren't bad, I'm just in a unique situation and don't care about how much my money grows until I die because I can't spend it then. My first call I someone picked up with an extremely Indian accent that I couldn't understand so I hung up. I called back and the next guy acted like I just woke him up, so I called back again. I finally got someone that could help me, but he had to transfer me to someone else that was very condescending. My wife and I were both in awe. Of course they tried to question me about why I was switching to which I simply replied can we do the transfers without a discussion. Maybe that's why the guy turned into a jerk. So now we have to wait until the transfers go through so I can reallocate everything. I did end up having to call back to see when I could lock my accounts again and received another Indian accent, but it was a little better. So I used chat to be put on a do not call list since the management advisor is calling. Not sure why as my mind is made up. And after the B.S. and about an hour on the phone I'm not even sure I'm staying with Fidelity. And Fidelity has millions of customers, so as you can see here they won't be coming to Trust Pilot to respond.

Discrimination of a mildly disable customer on 9/11 by Fidelity Work Place Services LLC, violation of disability rights and abuse of power by a system that is ignorant of disability diversity

On 9/11/26 Fidelity Workplace Services LLC, a department of Fidelity investments illegally froze my accounts twice based on unauthorized, unverified and unjustified assumptions regarding my disability status and competency level. The unlawful withholding of customer funds, on going restriction of my accounts, repeated abuse of power and illegal disable discrimination based on a perceived and unfounded severe disability claim is a Violation of Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act. My original reason for calling was to schedule an appointment with a financial counselor to discuss investment options for required distributions for next year at age 73 years old and to update beneficiaries and executor designations. I asked the representative to speak slower due to my mild Parkinson’s and mild dementia. She didn't say anything, put me on hold instead of accommodating me and transferred me to a security associate who froze my account solely because I mentioned dementia, said it was legal and demanded a Power of Attorney. She spoke over me and refused to let me speak. Is a demented person capable of calling Fidelity to make these arrangements? NO. Had I been allowed to speak they would have been able to hear me speak eloquently, coherently, clearly and thus acknowledge that I am not demented. Restricting my account based on broad disability generalizations, unjustified and perceived cognitive impairment without objective verifiable evidence, due process, violated my civil rights and has caused me great distress. While I understand the need to protect vulnerable adults, Fidelity staff made unsupported and unfunded assumptions about my capacity. On 10/9 I faxed a letter, a Durable Power of Attorney and a letter from my UCLA Neurologist attesting my full mental and physical health competency to manage my daily life and financial affairs. On 10/15 I called a supervisor and was informed the fax had not yet been downloaded and the hold would take an additional three weeks to resolve. Subjecting me to a bureaucratic process of power abuse. On 10/19 I contacted the Tax-Exempt /403(b) Rollovers & Support department, and my account access was restored. On 10/22 I faxed a letter requesting a written apology, a swift response from a Risk Management Supervisor, a Corporate Executive Escalations Specialist and an ADA Compliance Officer to address my complaint and financial compensation demand. alongside the immediate restoration of access to my assets.I received no responses. On 10/31, I noticed my account was once again restricted without justification. While I understand need to protect vulnerable adults, Fidelity continues to violate my civil rights, unsupported and unfounded assumptions about the extent of my capacity, ignores medical proof of my full competence from my UCLA Neurologist and restricted my funds again. Fidelity Workplace Services LLC has not responded as of today 11/1 since 10/9 to my letters and have illegally restricted my account twice. The abuse of power continues. It is my money, not theirs. This restriction is an active violation of Title III of the ADA and FINRA rules governing unlawful withholding of customer funds and has caused me significant distress and Fidelity needs to stop the illegal behavior toward customers. Fidelity needs to review and update their protocols to better serve persons with diverse disabilities. Disability exists on a spectrum, and systems should not rely on a rigid, one-size-fits-all model. Protocols must reflect the diverse needs of individuals with varying degrees of disability. We are not in the stone age. The front-line security staff openly refused to listen to my explanations, talked over me, and cut off my access to my funds without a shred of objective proof that I am demented, being exploited or that fraud is taking place. When customers with minimal, partial, or cognitive disabilities face unfair treatment—such as arbitrary account freezes, denied requests, or aggressive "power of attorney" demands—it constitutes a severe breach of consumer rights and an abuse of power.

Express Withdrawals

If you are thinking of requesting a withdrawal from your 401k or whatever accounts you have, never asked for the EXPRESS DELIVERY (Paper Check) which is worth $25 or so. Yes, the check is delivered within 2 days but once you deposit the check, you have to wait for another 10 days.

Error prone systems - poor trade execution

The systems are antiquated. The firm executed my trade incorrectly, costing me 10k. Would not resolve the trade, told me it was my error. Moving to another brokerage. The currency would also display differently depending on the day, making management difficult. Do not recommend this firm, very antiquated.

I do not recommend Fidelity

I do not recommend Fidelity. Not only is their cash management accounting a mess but, I've received extremely poor customer services as a result of THEIR issues. It's been enough of a disappointment to me that, after giving them the majority of my investments, I am now deciing where to move my money out of Fidelity.

Word to the wise: Be very careful when viewing your available funds - they can be 10 days behind reality. Very disappointing!

They waited almost a month to tell me that on participate line of a form my wife filled out had her name and not mine, delaying the payout. I had called after the documents download they stated everything was fine. They lied. And they hung up on me when we complained.

I still feel sick to my stomach…

I still feel sick to my stomach realizing how a private wealth management firm used synthetic equity portfolios and offshore shell accounts to orchestrate a massive theft against me focused on blue-chip stock derivatives. Supplied open-source API documentation and forged compliance certificates that completely masked their true intentions. I required seasoned chain analysts who could trace obfuscated transactions, so I brought on 'Bramsey_Advisor LLC'. Using deep ledger analysis and legal asset seizure notices, 'Bramsey_Advisor LLC' dismantled the criminal front and restored my account balance. They rescued my funds from what seemed like a permanent black hole.

Fidelity trades are delayed

Fidelity trades are delayed by about a full two seconds vs any other platform. May not seem like a 2 second delay is much, but when you keep missing your entry it's bad. To make a trade go through, I have to enter it as a market order and pay much more than the ask.

Have been investing since mid 2000’s …

Have been investing since mid 2000’s average returns along with the market as usual.Talked with my consultant early this year about how to get better protection on my investments during downturns in the market and the different investments available to me.My advisor recommended 2 other investment firms that offered other investment strategies that could better protect my portfolio as well as increase my market positions so After speaking with them all several times I asked my Fidelity advisor about how I could keep my positions that I had invested in all this time and move them to another firm and my advisor told me about what they call an in kind transfer and that my portfolio would just transfer over to the firm I wanted without any issues and it was a simple process. So after being down in the market approx 25 grand I decided to change to another firm that works with Fidelity and grow my portfolio and invest in other areas that were not available to me through Fidelity.I spoke with my advisor at Fidelity and was told again that the process was a simple in kind transfer and I could keep my Fidelity positions. That was not true at all.The investments were proprietary and my advisor obviously had no idea this was the case and when the transfer process happened all of my Fidelity positions were liquidated to cash costing me 25 thousand dollars and forcing that loss to me.I would not advise anyone to use this company and if you do make sure their advisors actually know what they are telling you is true before you are forced into steep losses as was I.

This is 100% fraud and theft. everything have completely stopped for two months, and they claim they are working on it, but it's all nonsense and they keep repeating it until they disappear completely. I was unable to access my account, as I do weekly. I never got my code to enter. Calling 'customer service' was a complete joke!! 20+mns on the phone will zero results on a solution. I was asked to try again the next day, although it had been several days of my attempts.
It is making seriously thinking of transferring all my funds elsewhere!!
