AI assisted support that cant solve your issue, with an email void for human support
I rent a Project Zomboid server from DatHost. The server runs fine, but it completely fails at the main thing I paid for: showing up in the public in-game server browser.
I did the technical troubleshooting myself. My config is perfect, and Steam's API sees the server fine. The issue is the specific IP block (the 170.x range) they assigned me. Nothing in that range shows up on the game's broad list. Moving my server to a different node would fix this instantly.
The worst part is trying to get help. Their support is a useless chatbot. When you finally log a ticket, it just fires an email into a black hole. No ticket number, no tracking, no confirmation. It's been well over 24 hours with zero response.
Direct IP connection still works, so it's not a total loss, but a public server that nobody can discover isn't what I bought. If they had a real ticket system and a human who could just move my node, I'd gladly change this rating.

Best host server if you want to play with your friends. I’m really impressed by the pricing vs the market price. Most sites overcharge.
A competitor i would not name charged : 60 euros and dathost 15 with better CPU and ddos protection included.
I’ll recommend this site to everyone.

honest opinions about dathost!
i've been using dathost for quite a bit now (around 3 months) and i've had little to no problems with all the servers i hosted!
no lag at all (at least on minecraft servers) and it's great for handling big groups!
there can be some issues booting up the server as sometimes the website bugs out and says the server isn't online, but overall it's great!
the prices are the best i've found, its 15$ a month for 16gb of ram and 30gb of disk space!
overall, great website to host servers in!

Didn't have any lag, no issues with the control panel(except that the file manager is funky on mobile, but thats...expected. I just wanted to try to access something simple at the time while I was away from pc).

Hosted a 16GB Minecraft Server for around 20€/month for me & my friends. Honestly, best experience I've had (ever) with a server hosting especially for this price. The uptime is at steady and stable 100.0% throughout the entire month of me running the server, and the speed is really nice aswell, I've never had any crashes nor even major lagspikes. Great customizations aswell, upload plugins & custom server jars if that is your thing, such as Minestom which I had used for making an entirely unique/my-own minigame server. Customer service is quick aswell, and is very helpful, transparent & informative.
10/5, would recommend especially if you're wanting to make a server.

the quick support and the clarity and friendly way of dathost team is a thing to mention.
I've been a customer on and off for a few years and each time an issues appears it's relaxing knowing how easy I can reach out to the team and get support on solving the matter. they give you a straight up answer, steps to fix it and if it doesnt work they will look further into it rather quickly.
I honestly recommend them since the price is really good, the servers have next to no downtime, it's an easy console to handle and honestly perfect on all the points you'd expect.

It is near perfection
It is near perfection. I love it really much but I would really really love to use Server Splitting as a tool on the server since it would be perfect for making small smps and so on with the 16gb ram available. I can understand if that is not possible but this would be a feature I would really really love to have in Dathost

Great hosting with great customer service
I host multiple games with Dathost and honestly things couldn't be better,they are absolutely brilliant.
Never really had any issues with any of my servers here,customer service is second to none also,they are very fast indeed at replying.
All i would like to see is a bigger selection of games as quite a few of the games that me and also many people i know are missing from the portfolio.
Apart from that definitely easily worthy of 5 stars.
