Absolutely awful site. Cancelled after a couple of days. It was shockingly poor. Now treatened with an email for outstanding £49.90 or I’ll have my assets removed and a debt collector??? I contacted the only way I saw how over a month ago and sent numerous emails saying not for me. Please cancel. No response until now. Don’t know what to do. I’ve emailed explaining this.
Still getting threatening emails from Martin bell. Can you please get back to me Mia before I look into taking this further. As I’ve had no correspondence from yourself or any of your colleagues in regards to my post on trust pilot. Today is the 7th sept and the emails demanding payment or payment will be increased is continuing.

And the dating experience - as far as I even remember it - was rubbish. In summary, don't touch C-Date with a bargepole, even if you have a really long bargepole.

Any other option must be better than this.
Really poor quality site: no search functionality, and "matches" that it sends you are rarely from anywhere nearby, and don't necessarily have anything that you'd actually be looking for.
You have to pay to send messages, and in the trial month it looks very much like anyone you send a message to has to have paid as well to respond (as opposed to other sites that let you reply for free).
Trying to find the system to cancel the subscription was convoluted, and not where it says it is from the help pages. They did at least actually do it for me, so it's possible that they've sorted that out. Rebilling automatically at four times the monthly cost is, at best, unethical - especially for a site that is this bad.
There are better sites out there - even POF is better than this.

Don’t go anywhere near
I have just received a letter from a Solicitors in Luxembourg asking for an astronomical bill for services in April.
They say it is the second letter sent this is the first I cancelled the subscription 3 days before the renew date .
I did not receive anyone back but thought nothing of it.
Now I have this legal letter and by all accounts I am not the first or last.
Company like these should be banned from this country they are a disgrace.
Don’t go anywhere near them.

Passed on their threatening letter…
Passed on their threatening letter warning me of their plans to enforce a bank account levy, wage garnishment and forceful disclosure of assets via affidavit to my solicitor they are claiming I owe the sum of £350
I have news for them,I will see you in court, I hope you enjoy the publicity, I have nothing, so have nothing to lose. Any more contact via email or letters will be passed to my solicitor as I consider it harassment.

this site are scammers. I’ve read loads of user about these people. I asked emailed and it would not let me cancel the subscription. Then about three months later I started to get letters from a debt collection agency with loads of add-ons fees I won’t be paying you nothing your letters your constant emails from your debt collection. Agency will all be reported to the financial ambushment. I will also report you to the trading standards and the local authorities. You wanna be ashamed of yourselves trying to get money out of people and using the bullying tactic. Well it won’t work on me. See you in court that’s if it ever gets to court because there’s no court in the land will give you will let you serve an order on the fees and the malicious horrible NASTY people you are

This site is an absolute disgrace. There are no real people on here only employees and fake profiles. Once I realised this I tried to delete my own profile after cancelling my subscription through iTunes. It just says unable to delete at this time. After a reply from them saying I have to cancel my subscription through iTunes before I can delete my profile I followed the instructions but still unable to remove my profile from view. This site should not be able to operate in this country. Beware of this con and do not sign up

I cannot stress that enough. They are one of the only membership based entities I know of who wont close your account/suspend services upon missed payments. Most membership based services, if you miss the monthly fee, will suspend your account, and subsequently close it unless that months fee is paid shortly afterwards. These guys don't do that, they just keep racking up the charges, month after month, adding "late payment fees" much in the same way as Credit Cards/Loans work. I opened an account with them, used it for a week or so, realised it was a really poor product and just stopped using it (assuming that the account would autoclose after they weren't able to take the membership fee). I totally forgot about them for nearly 6 months, then one day I get an email from a German collections agency (T&D Rechtsanwälte GbR) demanding £410 on behalf of their client C-Date. After reviewing the invoice, C-Date had continued to charge me for 6 months, adding additional late fee's, interest and other charges relating to them chasing up this debt. I literally can't even remember the last time I've come across a company that operates in this way...not only do they offer a "piss poor" product, but they deliberately utilise a model designed to fleece people out of money unless they read the T&C in thorough detail (because after reading it in retrospect, specifically looking for this information, it took me a fair amount of time and patience to see the bit which stipulates they would do this).
The real kicker in this situation is if you are (like me) UK based, T&D Rechtsanwälte GbR can't be added to Debt Management Plan's because they are based in Germany, and they don't recognise them. I got into a fair bit of other debt around the same time due to being made redundant, and relied on Step Change to help me get control of the situation. But they could help with these guys...and they are serious...don't think just because they operate outside the UK they can't get the Balifs involved... because they can...and I'm now down 1 laptop as a result of this.
Do yourself a favour and keep away from these scammers...

I made an account and cancelled my payment for it and then was sent a letter about it being my final payment when there was never a first letter received I reached out to have my account deleted and they still have not deleted my account dispite claiming to the owners of this site are bullies and instead of making a phone call or writing an email they just send collection maybe do that in future to see what's going on

What I can say is that when a payment remains outstanding, we don't immediately send cases to a collection agency. We first contact members by email and give them the opportunity to settle the balance directly with us. A collection agency only becomes involved if the matter remains unresolved.

C-Date scam
Joined, then 1 week later exercised my right to cancel using their cancellation link. For 3 days I heard nothing. Then they did not cancel but , continued my membership. This is a scam company. I have screen shots of cancellation request. They ignored. Date and time stamped so they have no legal case. They contact me and say the link they provide to cancel.is the wrong link! UTTER BOLLOCKS!
