A real-world date felt like it was against the grain of the site
A real-world date on Bumble felt like it was against the grain of the site, which honestly felt a little shady. MariaDating.net came up at a LAN party after I said I was tired of “sometime” that never becomes an hour, and being able to meet in person is what I needed. We meet in person now, and it didn’t feel against the grain.
Most of the accounts are dormant
Women are inactive. I had very few interactions on Bumble compared to SttDate.com
and other platforms that actually give some results. Those few conversations that I had on Bumble didn't lead to anything good. Some of them finished pretty much where they started. Others finished when scammers asked me for money. Some accounts look animated. Anyway, no woman ever acts on the idea of a real meeting. I don't know what they are there for but it looks like most of them are only killing time or preying for gullible male victims.
Facial Recognition tool does not work
Been using the app for a while without the need for verification. Voluntarily decided to get verified. The technology is so poor and does not recognise me. I am now locked out of an app that I have paid for as a life time subscriber. Tried contact support. Non existent. The annoying AI chatbot just keeps saying that my issues has been transferred to a team that don't contact me. Don't waste your money with this app.
Support no response for many months
Bumble asked me to provide my ID after I contacted them to restore my account and a 3-month subscription that I lost only a few days after purchasing it because I had reset my profile.
It already took them a few weeks to respond to my original request. As soon as they asked for my ID, I sent it immediately.
After that, they simply disappeared.
It has now been months since their last response. Repeated follow-ups have gone unanswered, and even raising separate support tickets has not helped. There seems to be no effective way to reach anyone or get an update on the case.
Very disappointing
Better than most dating apps
I have used bumble a while but not met the love of my life yet. Having tried other dating apps recently I felt I should review to say that Bumble is ok. Not expensive, works well and allows you to see matches. You just have to live somewhere well populated!
If this dating site doesn't even care…
If this dating site doesn't even care that they have a 1.2 review rating, almost the lowest possible rating of any thing ever on here, what chance do you have of even swaying them a little bit or getting anything close to support? They have changed a few things recently, and that only makes them terrible. And they are terrible. They skew towards women which is is common but in doing so they basically ensure that if you're on that site, you're going to stay single and stay on that site. Until you realize that it has nothing to offer you, and face the reality that without this website, you have even that chance of a snowflake in hell no longer there. They're selling you hope. Not hope that you'll find somebody, hope that they might change and become a respectable reputable site someday and actually help you find somebody, because everyone knows that these people are the most charitable jackals in the third ring of hell. Incidentally the most charitable ring of hell.
I recently matched with somebody and for the first time it was somebody in my town. They looked interesting and I would like to know who they are but I couldn't see their name before they disappeared as soon as I click their name. I contacted support and support said that they are aware of the problem. That's all. There's a problem. They are aware of it. And tough. Sorry about losing the one person that you've been on this site looking for for three or four years, and that even though we probably could look it up, we're not going to. In fact you're not even going to talk to you human being but to a machine that is instructed to do nothing to help you even if they could. So that's one thing. One thing that actually happened to me. Just a few moments ago I got a like and I went to go check it out. They weren't for me but, next to them was this little note that said, expand your preferences and see the other two people that are into you as well! It didn't say what preferences. So I don't know what the hell they're talking about. So I expanded them all. And at the end of it all those two people weren't even there anymore apparently. So were they lying? The answer is yes. They are lying. That's what they do. They said they had a website that was there to help you find somebody to date. And maybe there was one maybe there wasn't. They lied about something. Whether it was that I had to change my preferences, or whether there were two people who liked me then I couldn't see, or any other number of things but, the fact the matter is that they've already vetted their own site, and the only real reason you are there is to pay them money. That's what it's down to. And if they have to lie about it, not only can they but they definitely will. And they're getting away with it. And they will continue to get away with it. So, bear that in mind. And try not to patronize them because they're not nice people. They might hire some nice people but I'm sure those people are rather sad about the fact that they work for this place. As far as soulmates or ideal mate situations go you have a better chance of falling over your soulmate the next time you walk out of your front door. If there was a chance that they could set you up with one, they would make sure by all means that you could not and therefore leave the site. It's just something for you to figure out and if you read this, just know that's the way it is. Sorry about that and if sorry that you probably weren't aware of this either. I hope they change but honestly, what real motivation do they have?
If I could give zero stars I would !
If I could give zero stars I would !!
Same service on repeat ! Don’t pay and bumble tells you loads of people have liked you and thousands or profiles to choose from !
Upgrade to pay for service and yes lots have liked me but didn’t match with many ! Then run out of profiles after about 10 swipes ! Out of all over the uk and Ireland 10 swipes !? Then the message comes even after I have put maximum range and ticked the box to say find anyone outside my area which is the Uk and Ireland ! Zero profiles !! Really !?!
Oddly enough as soon as I cancel the subscription and the subscription runs out bumble missells the same script on repeat ! Totally miss selling everytime !!
Glitches all the time in chats ! Messages notifications come through but the app need restarted 2/3 and sometimes 4 times before you can message back or even see the message !
Tick every box on the bumble profile to do list and it still sends harassing messages telling you to complete your profile even though there is nothing left to complete !!?
No where to write a complaint too and some premium number to phone up and be charged to complain about miss selling everytime!
Location options sometimes in Ireland sometimes in the uk just totally useless app altogether !!
Their service reflects the trajectory of their share price. Horrible
My account was blocked because I supposedly bought or sold sexual services. I appealed the decision (you cannot even explain yourself - it's a dictatorship, you just click a button then pretend that they'll be looking into it, then maintain their decision). I was a paid subscriber for years (they cancelled my subscription but did not have the courage to pay back the remaining fees). I never requested sex services in so many years but I suddenly felt the need to switch gear apparently. Instead of analyzing the person's profile and taking the blame for allowing her on their platform, analyze the hundred of conversations to see if similar instances happened they prefer to use their bias, hide behind their platform and walk away satisfied of their work.
I live in Southeast Asia and Bumble is notoriously famous for their sex workers that are perfectly allowed by the company to thrive, scam people and enjoy their service. This has become even easier as soon as Bumble came up with the "something casual", "open to see where things go" that gave these sex workers the official blessing to join or continue their operations.
I also often travel to Africa and use Bumble their to people with no intention to pay for sexual services (if I wanted that there are plenty of websites for this where don't have to pay for a subscription or I could simply ask for my contact number on Bumble and do my business elsewhere).
Obviously Bumble did not have the decency to explain the "why" this suspension nor gave me a chance to explain myself. I suspect that this is due to a conversation I had with a new match.
I matched with this girl. I found her pictures a bit suggestive so I asked her right away what she was looking for to make sure she wasn't a sex worker. She replied "fun" and "serious relationship". The fact that she included "serious relationship" made me inquire about the "fun". So I asked back "paid fun" and "what is your preference" as in: do you prioritize fun or a serious relationship?. I asked her 'paid fun?' to find out if she was a sex worker. I was trying to AVOID sex workers, not hire them.
The fact that Bumble can't keep sex workers off their platform and punishes users that come across them because they are trying to find out who they are, and do the work their safety team is paid to do is absurd.
Your platform is unsafe for serious people and you know it. Take your responsibility and stop punishing those who try to navigate all these suspicious profiles that you let proliferate on it.
The app lasted 4 hours
The app lasted 4 hours. Very bad experience. The app continually froze on my iphone. I did the update and nothing improved. I requested a refund and they didn’t respond. Only an AI bot and no refund. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY
YOUR AI IS A WASTE OF SPACE
YOUR AI IS A WASTE OF SPACE. I PAID FOR A SUBSCRIPTION OVER A WEEK AGO AND HAVE NOT BEEN ABLE TO LOG ON. HAPPY TO TAKE YOUR MONEY, BUT NOBODY IS HAPPY TO HELP. LOG ON TO YOUR ACCOUNT IT SAYS.... WHAT PART OF I CAN'T DO YOU NOT GET? 3 TIMES IVE BEEN TOLD SOMEONE WILL GET BACK TO ME WITHIN 7 DAYS. WELL THAT DID NOT HAPPEN AND YOU NOW OWE ME ATLEAST ONE WEEKS SUBSCRIPTION. BEST MAKE IT 4 BECAUSE I DON'T SUPPOSE FOR ONE MINUTE YOU WILL GET BACK TO ME AT ALL. DISGUSTING SERVICE!!!
Scamers, Costumer service doesn't exist
You need to pay monthly subscription £34.99 just to see who likes you and potentially chat with them. I paid for one month, one day all advanced features disappeared from my account and I could see information (on my profile) to buy a premium subscription if I want to continue with premium account, as I wasn't happy with the app anyway, I deleted my account, just to find out that bumble charged me for another month anyway! I have deleted account and they still took £34.99 from my account!
It is impossible to get in touch with costumer service, like they dont exist at all. I have contacted them multiple occasions, I recived auto reply that somone will be in touch with me shortly and no one ever came back.
Bumble are scammers, Costumer Support doesn't exist or if they have one, they just keep ignoring emails.
The other very concerning thing is safety concerns. The app requires you to have your location on (only city will be visible on your profile). You need to pay for subscription if you want to use "travel mode" and then you can set up any location. I had travle mode on, without any warning or notification, it changed automatically to my current actual location, I couldn't change it back to travle mode as that was the time my subscription expired, fair enough, but still they decide to charged me for full month subscription! They took away all advanced features, I deleted my account, they charged me and now they ignoring my emails.
Avoid those scammers.
Scammers
Scammers! Took my 3-month subscription and banned me days later with zero proof. I paid upfront for a 3-month subscription package. A couple of days later, my account was suddenly blocked. I am 100% certain I did not breach any guidelines or rules, but when I contacted support, they refused to provide any evidence, explanation, or context for the ban.
They take your money, lock you out of the service you paid for, and hide behind generic automated boilerplate emails. Keeping a customer’s subscription money while cutting off service without providing proof of a violation is outright deceptive. Stay away from this company.
No buzz in bumble
Bumble is all about making as much money as possible. Only two choices. In the first instance you have premium where you have to pay just to see whose even looked at you. Why would you when it's supposed to be a site where the female does the choosing of who she might want to hear from.
The second option is the pricey premium plus which then allows you to have contact.

Bumble will not allow monthly subscription to be cancelled. Nightmare scenario of going through own bank. Beware all it's a scam.
Dating app this?
It's time for this company to be held legally accountable!
Retaining user identification information even after deleting accounts.
Over the years, I've had several badoo accounts, an application owned by bumble, accounts created on different devices, different IPs, different emails, different phone numbers.
There ee accounts later..
I had over 30 likes in a certain location and I had likes every day, I had to pay to see who liked me.
After making the payment, the number of likes dropped sharply and remained at a maximum of 2 likes in any place on the globe, which clearly shows a limitation of visibility to convince me to buy.
I bought again and that's why the experience was even worse later on.
Although a service provider offers directly proportional to the amounts paid, badoo offered me inversely proportional to my willingness to pay.
Completely illegal and immoral.
The artificial scarcity created affected my mental state and self-confidence, i.e. it triggered anxiety and depression and thus it is now impossible for me to approach women in the real world for fear of being rejected even though I have heard dozens of times from the same women I met for the first time that I am attractive, but all this manipulative game over several months has affected my confidence and mental health.
The bigger surprise was when this behavior of the application became identical on any newly created account, which shows me that my personal information was retained without consent and legal right, and associated with new accounts.
No Bumble employee can justify to me how it is possible for a man to have the same experience in different locations around the world, if in some locations there are tens of thousands of people and in others millions of inhabitants.
Also, when I informed them in the past about these problems, they were not able to identify my account but they addressed me with a pseudonym of an account already deleted a few months ago, which proved that there is user profiling and that hardware fingerprints and biometric data are stored.
When I asked them to provide me with copies of this data, they refused and then asked me for a legal ID that they did not have the right to process and which was anyway useless in identifying me considering that I communicated from the email associated with the badoo account.
Even to this day, I have not had access to my personal data and they have not deleted this data from their servers.
Two days ago I created another account just to prove these things.
My experience is identical to the last account, two likes in the same location where I had dozens of likes before I paid.
I tried to contact their support team but they introduced an AI robot and that robot recognized that an attractiveness score is associated with each account but that he does not have access to modify or read it.
I have already submitted a complaint to the DPO but others are coming to all the competent institutions that can legally sanction this company for violating the laws, many, many sanctions are coming because it is time for these companies to understand that they are not invulnerable to the law and laws are not optional and violations have consequences
I gave 1 star just because zero is not…
I gave 1 star just because zero is not an option.
I deleted my accounts due to a stalker and asked customer support to get access to the messages
They are not replying to my emails and have ignored my request to raise a complaint
You are not protected when using this app. I would not recommend
I am incredibly frustrated with this…
I am incredibly frustrated with this app, especially considering I paid for it. The user interface is riddled with glitches that make basic communication an absolute chore.
The messaging system is poorly optimised for iPhone. The "Send" button is crammed so far into the absolute right-hand margin of the screen that the phone frequently fails to register touches. You have to constantly fiddle around with the screen just to get the arrow to the bottom to send a text.
On top of that, the layout regularly breaks: the keyboard frequently covers the message entry field so you are forced to type blindly, the text input randomly reverts to emoticons instead of text, and the entire app constantly freezes or jams, forcing you to close and reopen it.
Paying for a premium service should mean a premium experience, not a daily battle with broken code and a frustrating interface. It is simply not fit for purpose in its current state.
