Good sofa, disappointing customer service
I bought my sofa a few weeks ago, and it arrived without any problems after around three weeks. I had a few questions regarding the delivery beforehand, and Bumbba were very helpful and responsive. The sofa itself was also easy to assemble, and the whole process was quick and straightforward.
The sofa looks great and is reasonably comfortable, although it’s not the most comfortable sofa I’ve owned. That said, this isn’t really an issue for me. What I particularly like is the adaptability, design and overall appearance. It really is a statement piece, and I’m very happy with the sofa itself.
Unfortunately, my experience with the company took a disappointing turn afterwards.
I ordered the 3-seater chaise lounge with arms. On the website, there are small side cushions shown with the sofa that look great. Nowhere, as far as I could see, does it clearly state that the configuration with arms does not include these cushions. I contacted Bumbba about this, and they acknowledged that the website was unclear and apologized for the confusion. They explained that the configuration I ordered does not come with the cushions, but that I could purchase them separately for an additional charge.
This is where I found the situation particularly frustrating. Purchasing the sofa without arms and then buying the arms separately would actually have been cheaper than the configuration I purchased, while also including the small cushions. In other words, I had chosen a more expensive configuration but ended up without something that would have been included had I chosen the cheaper alternative.
I therefore asked whether Bumbba would be willing to send me the cushions as a gesture of goodwill. I thought this was a fairly reasonable request given the lack of clarity on the website and the pricing difference between the configurations.
Unfortunately, I never received a response.
That was particularly disappointing because one of the main reasons I chose Bumbba was the overwhelmingly positive feedback I had seen regarding their customer service. My initial experience with them was indeed very good, which makes the lack of response to my final email all the more surprising.
So, overall: I really like the sofa, but I’m disappointed with the company’s handling of this particular situation. I appreciate that Bumbba may see the situation differently, but I would have expected a little more goodwill and, at the very least, a response to my email.
I would still recommend the sofa itself, but based on my experience, I’m considerably less enthusiastic about the customer service.

Product fitted the description and thus my expectations.
Unpacking was surprisingly easy.
I suggest... have a good look at their presentation and if you like that, you can buy it without fear of unforseen complications

I would give this a 1 star if it weren't for the fact that Bumbba's customer service is incredibly friendly and helpful.
My girlfriend and I gave into the marketing hype of this couch which we saw on instagram earlier this year. We were really on the fence about it until we ultimately pulled the trigger and decided to give it a chance.
When it arrived:
Packaging was flawless and the couch is very easy to set up. We ordered the brown sugar which is just as gorgeous in real life as it is in pictures. The material is also very soft and feels great.
The experience:
When we first tried this couch we were really excited about the modular function and seeing how comfortable the couch was. At first...we weren't convince but we decided to give it a shot and see if we just needed some time to love it.
Eventually, we hated it and decided to return it. I'm a bit confused by all the positive reviews this couch gets because it's wildly uncomfortable, but I assume most people don't use this couch as their primary one. It seems like more of a playroom / guest room type ornament.
- Long sitting sessions become really uncomfortable as the couch provides no meaningful support for your back, neck, and hips.
- The seat depth is horrible so you always feel like you're sitting on the edge for some reason. We actually pushed the bars back to artificially create more seat depth because of this.
- The bars need to be readjusted every so often which is sort of annoying to do every few days. And yes, we set these up right as instructed in the little manual.
- If you don't lay back on the right spot of the back cushion, you sort of sink in...and not in a nice way.
- The side pillows are way too small and hollow (not enough foam).
- The foam in all the supporting pillows is made up of this low-quality shredded foam that smells very chemically.
- If you sit anywhere near the ends of the large mattresses, half of your body sinks which is also incredibly uncomfortable.
- We were also not convinced by how long this foam would actually hold up until it started collapsing.
Realistically, this couch is just not functional or usable unless you maybe have it against a wall. We thought we were being picky but we had several friends and family come over and the feedback was always the same: "wow that's a beautiful couch" and then..."this is actually really not comfortable". Bumbba offered to send us a 'revised' version of their pillow which would supposedly improve seat depth but the couch is just a pretty terrible design all together - from the pillows, to the bars, to the foam, etc
We thankfully kept our old IKEA Karlstad couch before deciding to keep or return this couch and it was a night and day difference going back to a functional couch with good, comfortable support. Especially after 10 days of trying Bumbba. On paper, you would think that a modular bed-like couch would be the dream but it turns out it isn't.
A last thing to note: the return process is incredibly annoying. They haven't figured out how to streamline nor standardize this process across all regions. We spent close to a month going back and forth with Bumbba and their logistics company. Since the couch comes vacuum packed and pressed with industrial equipment, Bumbba needs to send you protective bags which you need to wrap yourself and then tape to a reasonable size because the couch would no longer fit in its original boxes. It took about two months for us to get our money back after putting in the return/refund request. Keep this in mind as well.

Bumbba's customer support is incredibly friendly, helpful, and quick to respond.
We had family coming to visit just a few days after placing our order, so we reached out to ask if it would be possible to have our 3-seater sofa delivered before they arrived. Bumbba kindly made it happen!
Thank you so much, Bumbba. The sofa is not only beautiful but also incredibly comfortable. We're very happy with both the product and the outstanding customer service!

We bought the Bumbba sofa in March 2026 hoping for a seating solution that could handle both family life and playtime. We really wanted to love it and gave it a fair chance over several months. In some ways it delivers, in most important ways it really doesn't.
Delivery took a while, but in the end, this can be excused: live and let live. The packaging itself was flawless and the product arrived undamaged.
Our kids enjoy it. The biggest plus is that the sofa can be completely taken apart. Our children turn the living room into a jungle gym almost daily, building forts, obstacle courses, and jumping around. That part is genuinely fun and keeps them entertained for a while. If you're mainly buying this as a giant play set for young kids, you'll probably be happy with that aspect.
Unfortunately the novelty wears off very quickly when you actually want to sit on it.
- The seating area is somehow too short for adults. It's hard to describe it, but sitting on it "feels" wrong.
- It's surprisingly uncomfortable for longer sitting (watching movies, reading, etc.). It could be compared to sitting on a cheap chair in the waiting room of a doctor's office.
- The side pillows constantly fall through the frames. We tried to use elastic bands on the frames as barriers to keep the pillows from falling through. This kind of works but looks terrible.
- The backrest is poorly supported and barely stays in place. If you lean anywhere but perfectly in the center, the backrest bends, shifts, and you sink backward. It feels loose and unstable.
- The whole frame construction shifts and moves around far too easily.
On the plus side, because it's so uncomfortable, we spend less time in front of the TV. So there's that.
For something that quickly costs 1000+ EUR, this is a huge disappointment. The decompressing/modular concept sounds amazing in marketing videos, but in real life it just doesn't hold up as proper living-room furniture. Now we're stuck with it until we can afford a real sofa and find a way to sell or dispose it.
Don't fall for the hype. Bumbba doesn't do anything meaningfully better than the much cheaper expanding foam/modular sofas you see online.
If you're looking for actual comfortable seating for adults (even with kids in the house), look elsewhere. We regret this purchase and would not buy it again.

No problems in the purchasing and delivery process; it gets delivered in two boxes, but I don't think I could have carried one box twice as heavy, so that was a good thing. Pillows and mattresses unfold easily and within a day the shape is back to normal.
Very comfy mattress and back pillows, nice fabric (although not as stain-proof as advertised, liquid only has to lie still for a few seconds to seep into the fabric), colour matches expectation, good depth and height to my taste. Firm, and you don't have to be lying halfway down to reach both the floor and the backrest. No problems so far (2 weeks since arrival) with top mattress sliding off or metal thingies not staying in place.
One negative: The side/arm pillows are too low, and softer than the back pillows, so the metal holder thing is felt clearly through them, and you can't really lean against them or push down very much - they also tend to be squished through the metal thing and fall to the floor if you lean on them for longer time.
There's also something about the dimensionality - the length of the two back pillows does not entirely equal the length of the mattress, as it looks in images. They are a bit shorter, so there is either 5-10 cm space in the middle or empty corners behind the side pillows. Maybe this will even out with use.
Both these problems can be helped by the versatility, they are less noticeable in other configurations, but I wish it worked perfectly in sofa-mode also. It is primarily a sofa, after all.

Our lounge is upstairs via a narrow staircase, so a traditional sofa just wouldn't have fit up there. Finding a sofa in a box was the perfect solution to still have something comfy that we could get upstairs.
The sofa arrived a lot quicker than what was estimated at checkout, so that was a very pleasant surprise.
The assembly was super easy and quick, took about 10 minutes.
We have the sofa placed against a wall and on carpet so there are no issues with it moving around.
The mattresses are on the firm side but still very comfortable.
The back cushions are a little more bulky than I expected and they take up a fair bit of the seating space. I think they could be a little slimmer.
On the other hand, the side cushions are rather small and tend to slip through the side brackets.
Making the back cushions a bit slimmer and the side cushions a bit bigger would make this sofa perfect!
It is comfortable nonetheless, the corduroy is super soft and the dark green colour is gorgeous!

The best sofa, mattress, and bed I have ever owned. Soft, comfortable, and very easy to assemble. It fits perfectly in any room of the house and provides excellent comfort. I am absolutely delighted with my purchase and will definitely buy more pieces in the future. Highly recommended!

I saw the Bumbba by chance on instagram and after some research decided to buy. Everything in the ordering process went smoothly. After a few weeks customer service got in touch letting me know the Bumbba may arrive later due to issues in the supply chain, offering me a discount as compensation. Very faire I thought. When I received my Bumbba everything was wrapped with care and all in all I am very happy with the end result.

Comfortable but smell isn’t gone after 3 weeks of usage.
The answer for email was that your 14 days are gone so nothing can’t be changed for now.
Upd: Thanks for reply, you can check you emails from my wife about same problem with smell.

Love the materials and the color. It's comfortable, if you like (like me) a bit of a "firm" couch. I have yet to try it in different composition on the ground, but it seems pretty light to move around.
Definitely would recommend

Overall, the product is OK, has a lot of good points: comfortable, dynamic, looks cool, easily converts to beds for overnight guests. BUT, there are several major down sides: it doesnt stay put on the floor, I'm constantly pushing everything back to where I had it originally. I've used the clips on the metal frames but it doesn't help. The back rests partially fall through the metal frames, I have to keep re positioning them too. Also, the back rests are very thick and take up a lot of space on the seat, leaving a narrow space to sit in which is awkward. Main seats move forward away from the metal frame, over time.
I plan to sew some straps to stop back rests falling through the frame and to stop the main seats from moving away from the frames. Not sure yet how to keep it from moving back across the floor though.

It’s ok. The sofa isn’t very deep, so it’s not really comfortable when used as a sofa - you have to sit very upright to fit on it and it’s not really big enough for two people. The top layer slides forward when you sit on it, and the fabric sags. We’ve tried using it in different ways, like sitting with both panels on the floor. It is ok, but the pieces just slide apart as you sit on them. We’ve positioned it against a wall, and I don’t really see how it would be secure enough if it were freestanding.
It suits our needs in terms of size though, and we wanted something where we could have some rough and tumble as our baby gets older.
The fabric does clean very well. Package arrived within the estimated 15-20 working days.
Compared to other sofas out there like this - I think there’s OM-HU looks nicer and is more comfortable, but I suspect has the same sliding issues and is twice the price.
