Overhyped quality
Overhyped quality, and they keep your money when you return. They have had my €804.65 AND the watch for weeks.
I bought a Baltic expecting the quality you see in all the influencer videos and sponsored content this brand is built on. In hand, the reality was a big step down from the hype: for €800+ the finishing and overall quality were far below what the marketing suggests, and below what you can get elsewhere at this price. That is why I returned it — my mistake was believing the paid promotion instead of the return-experience reviews on this page.
And that is when the real problem started. Facts, all documented:
• 8 June: purchased the watch for €804.65.
• 15 June: exercised my legal right of withdrawal and returned it via DHL.
• 24 June: DHL confirms delivery to Baltic. They acknowledge receipt in writing and promise the refund “within 2-3 business days.”
• Then: silence. Multiple follow-ups ignored. The legal 14-day refund deadline under EU Directive 2011/83 expired on 29 June. Nothing.
• I had to open a chargeback with my bank and send a formal legal notice to their Paris office to get any reaction at all.
• Their only response so far: asking me to CANCEL my chargeback protection first, with the refund promised (again) afterwards. The same promise they already broke once. Still not refunded.
So right now Baltic holds both my money and the watch, in breach of EU consumer law. The brand invests heavily in image and influencer marketing; based on my experience, far less in the product itself and in basic customer service once they have your money.
If you buy from Baltic: pay by card, keep every email, and be prepared to fight for your refund. Reading other reviews here, my case is not an exception, it is a pattern.
I bought a Baltic Hermetic Tourer in…
I bought a Baltic Hermetic Tourer in beige, and the medium FKM rubber strap that came with it is clearly too small for my 19cm wrist! As a result, I have to buy another strap because this French brand wanted to save two centimeters of rubber...
I purchased a Baltic HMS blue silver…
I purchased a Baltic HMS blue silver dial open case.
One month after purchase, the watch fell from a bedside table (around 50 cm) and the crystal cracked. Baltic immediately classified the damage as accidental and refused a refund, replacement, or goodwill solution. While I understand that accidental damage may not be covered by warranty, I was disappointed by both the durability of the watch and the company’s unwillingness to offer any customer-oriented resolution for a nearly new product. Horrible experience !
Great Experience with Baltic Watches.
I have been looking at Baltic for a while and really liked their Beads of Rice strap that could attach to all their watches. I decided the HMS 02 Blue Gilt was the one i probably wanted on the Beads of Rice. I was in London last week and googled mapped where the Baltic showroom was. It was only a couple of miles away from my hotel so i decided to make an appoinyment in their showroom. They even sent me an Uber voucher to get there and back.
When i arrived i was welcomed in to the showroom. It was an appointment just for me to look through all their watches. An experience itself. Alex welcomed me and it was a complete no hassle experience. He allowed me to try different watches from the sample collection and attached different straps until i was completly happy.
He then got out a brand new HMS 02 Blue Gilt out, attached and adjusted the strap to a perfect fit. Boxed and bagged in nice packaging. An after thought was i could do with an extra link as my wrist swells in summer. I contacted Alex and he had one to me within 3 days. Well done Alex.
Thank you.
This was unexpected
This was unexpected. I have seen many reviews on YouTube saying nothing but nice things about Baltic Watches. Maybe I should have listened more closely when every review was “sponsored by Baltic”.
I made an order for a “Hermetique Summer” more than a week ago and while they have taken my money already they have still not shipped the watch. I have made two inquiries about the status of my order to customer support, but no response. Today I wrote to tell them that I want to cancel my order and have a refund. They have still not replied. I fear this might be a scam and that my money is lost, so I advise to stay away from Baltic watches.
Lasted less than 3 years before falling apart
Bought a Baltic Aquascaphe Dual Crown Black edition in 2021 for around 700 euros from memory. A very trendy looking product, great instagram page so I thought why not.
After 3 years it fell apart inside, unfortunately they only offer a 2 year warranty and wanted to charge me to fix it.
Reality is, this is a cheap automatic which looks good but isn't durable.
Save a little more money, and buy an automatic from a brand you always dreamt of owning. Or simply buy a good looking quartz over this Baltic rubbish.
Horrible watch, do not buy.
The watches look good, but they are much much smaller than they look, especially the digits on the dial - they are practically unreadable and I have a great vision. I bought HMS 002 Silver with strap and additional bracelet - strap barely fits and I cannot get watch on with the bracelet. I'm 5'10'' with average size wrist. It is like the watch is made for kids. Plus don't be surprised if you get bill for duty fees, they are not included.
Bad experience
The watches are nice, but the customer service is terrible. I wouldn’t recommend buying from them.
Amazing brand
Amazing watches and great craftsmanship. Don’t hesitate to visit the team at the Paris boutique.
My watch arrived not working
My watch arrived not working. After getting their attention, I was sent to Grand Central Watch to repair it. I was told be in Manhattan and brought it. They fixed it and sent it back to me. It's run fine ever since. Not ideal, however. And disappointing
By far the worst brand i ever purchased…
By far the worst brand i ever purchased a watch form. (Baltic aquashpere titanium)
Bought the watch on August 2025. A month later I noticed that the minutes drifting ahead. I sent the watch back and received it approximately a week later, with nothing else than a tiny piece of paper and no follow up or something else.
Immediately I realized that same problem existed again and I wrote an email explaining that this will be the second time I will send the watch back and they should replace it under warranty at least the mechanism..
No real feedback from them , I received the watch back with the same problem.
A new brand who respects it's product would have been much more diligent..
The sent me again a tiny piece of paper cut by hand, without any explanation nothing.
The watch is literally useless ( paid 1000euro) since every 2!! Days I need to readjust the time backwards..
Imagine they sell this as a divers watch that is completely unreable!
Sadly I was expecting more from a "promising" micro brand.
I will stick to a well-known brand next time.
No, keep your watches for yourself!
Returned the watch and they said it was scratched. I didn't even put it on my wrist and packaging when shipped back was as when it arrived. They sent it back to me immediately for me too keep it. When it arrived the watch was in even worse condition which I documented. After sending many emails back and forth they accepted the return but still reduced the amount for refund. Bad experience, no customer friendly business practices. Never again!
experiencia con Baltic
Departure: Gatwick (England)
• Check-in and ground staff: Excellent. No issues with luggage or queues, very good service.
• Flight: Smooth and comfortable. Captain was fantastic.
• Aircraft: Good overall, but cleanliness could be improved.
• Cabin crew: Generally good, though some could improve their attitude and smile.
Return: Riga
• Arrival and airport transit: Long walk (about 27 minutes). Passport control and immigration were normal.
• Ground staff:
• Some staff seemed indifferent or rude.
• One worker at the baggage collection acted more like an authority figure than a welcoming staff member, forgetting her main role of assisting passengers.
• Other staff members were fine.
• Facilities:
• Cleanliness needs attention.
• Limited café options.
Overall Conclusion
• Positive aspects:
• Safe and comfortable flight.
• Competent captain and cabin crew.
• Professional ground staff at Gatwick.
• Areas for improvement:
• Aircraft and airport cleanliness.
• Staff attitude and warmth in Riga.
• More hospitality and engagement to improve the passenger experience.
Dreadful
Dreadful. Watch just stops on its own. Sent back twice and they failed to fix it twice. Won’t issue refund or replacement just a doom spiral of dhl parcels back and forth. They are CRAP
The watch was cheaply made and did not…
The watch was cheaply made and did not keep good time. When I returned it, they said it had a scratch and they would not issue a refund. This company is awful.
A very nice experience (Thanks to Baudouin!)
When coming here to write a review, I was sad to see some of the other previous reviews, only because my experience was the opposite.
I went through a period of messaging Baltic regarding a set of questions I had about their watches. They always replied on the same day and I felt happy to go forward with a purchase. I went to the London showroom to preview a set of watches with Baudouin. I had a lovely time walking around and trying on a set of watches I had been looking at for some time. The whole experience was lovely, Baudouin was very nice to speak to and so far, the purchases I made have been fantastic and I hope that they stay that way. No matter what has been stated before, I hope that my experience is the experience that everyone else has going forward.
Admirable handling of a repair request
Admirable handling of a repair request; after several years of regular wear, the strap gave out, appointing the bezel with the floor. CRACK. No issue sending it in for repair. New bezel, new strap, quickly performed, chapeau.
Nightmare experience- beware!
Nightmare experience- beware!
I had to message these guys 4 times before I got a response, they finally answered my question saying the problem with the clasp (that other customers had complained about) had been fixed - so I ordered the watch.
The watch arrived, not only with the clasp issue, but with dirt behind the glass on the watch face!
Three messages later and I’m still yet to hear back from Baltic Watches about my refund.
STAY AWAY
Baltic customer service is a joke
I ordered two watches from Baltic. I sent both of them back, not because they‘re bad watches, but because they didn‘t really fit my wrist.
Up until then the email correspondence was good. But once I had sent the watches back to Baltic, they ignore me completely. The watches have arrived at Baltic two weeks ago, which I can see in the DHL tracking. I have not gotten any confirmation on that. I have wrote them several times, both via mail and their support page.
NOTHING!
The watches were unworn and in perfect condition, so it‘s an easy refund.
It‘s really getting on my nerves I have to remind them without even getting as much as a „Sorry, we‘re working on your issue“.
To be clear: I‘m not mad that it takes them longer than I expected, I‘m mad because I can‘t get any info at all and that I‘m simply being ignored.
Caveat emptor
Let the buyer beware. The quality of these watches is awful (excellent Swiss movements but the rest is French…). Chrono push buttons are designed to fall off and let water in. After sales is so bad: they don’t even reply despite the warranty being in force.
If you want a watch that looks like a Rolex, then just buy a Rolex.
