Does incompetence have a new definition?

Does incompetence have a new definition?
Axa is my employee's accident insurance. I had an accident abroad and I ended up in the emergency.
Then I contacted AXA to put them in contact with the hospital. AXA said they wouldn't lift any finger, I was the one to all their work and then I'll get a refund.
I've never seen such behavior. Why would the patient do their work?
And what if you have £50,000 of expenses? Is the patient supposed to do the paperwork, advance the funds, and then wait for them for a refund?
I sent them an email about that, they didn't even bother to answer.

Never again with them. I'll spread this as much as I can. If they were amateurs, it would already be a huge improvement. But now I have a new level for zero.

Website doesn't work. MyAxa app doesn't work.

Firstly I cannot access either the axa.ch or the myaxa.ch website from my Windows PC: "axa.ch took too long to respond."

The I tried to download the myaxa app to my iPhone. After downloading and opening the app, I get the message "New and required version available" and the only option is "GET". I press "GET" and I am back at the App Store and the only option for the myaxa app is to "open" this takes me back to the "New and required version available", so basically into an endless loop. The myaxa app has now been deleted. Problem solved.

I strongly advise against subscribing to a 3rd pillar with AXA – extremely opaque fees and misleading information

I opened a 3a pillar with AXA without any insurance component, with the sole intention of diversifying my 3rd pillar investments. According to the policy documentation, the only mentioned fee was a 0.5% annual management fee on the invested portion. No other fees were disclosed in writing or verbally by the advisor.

After two years, I noticed that the value of my account was suspiciously low compared to my contributions and the performance of the investment fund. I contacted my advisor for clarification. He initially replied that he would handle my request – but after that, I heard nothing for six months.

Only after submitting a second complaint did I finally receive a breakdown of the charges. It turned out I was being charged CHF 500 per year in "management and administrative fees" and "risk management costs" – despite not having any insurance component in the contract!

This means that out of a CHF 3,600 annual contribution, CHF 500 was taken in hidden charges, in addition to the agreed-upon 0.5% fund management fee. This is outrageous.

AXA’s communication was completely lacking, their fee structure misleading, and their customer service slow and evasive. If transparency, honesty, and trust are important to you in financial planning, I highly recommend looking elsewhere for your 3a solution.

CHEATS AND LIARS!

Local agent extended my car insurance by 2 months without informing me. Trying to get an answer why has so far proved to be impossible, the agent refuses to answer basic questions. Head office contacted and no replies or response despite the initial promise to do so.

TOTAL DISASTER AND NEVER EVER AGAIN!

Disappointing Experience with AXA

Disappointing Experience with AXA
I had a negative experience with AXA across multiple services:

1. Supplementary insurance: The final costs were much higher than initially expected. The lack of clarity and transparency made it difficult to plan expenses effectively.

2. Health insurance switch: The process was poorly managed with many errors. As a result, I ended up paying for two insurance policies at the same time, leading to unnecessary extra costs and stress.

3. 3rd pillar pension plan: The service here was also below expectations. The terms were not explained clearly, making it hard to understand what I was committing to.

Overall, I was disappointed by the inefficiency and lack of professionalism across all services. I cannot recommend AXA based on this experience.

AXA's Errors and Poor Service – A Warning to Others

AXA decided, without my consent, to send my annual (i.e., irregular) invoice to an email address I no longer use. As a company owner, I ensure that all invoices from AXA are sent by mail, and even my health insurer, Groupe Mutuel, respects this preference unless instructed otherwise.

This mistake happened twice. AXA later realized the error—likely because we are not small customers—and sent a "rappel" to my home address. I typically pay annual invoices well in advance, so I paid this one week before the date I understood it was due. As a busy person, I saw it was the 1st invoice for the car insurance with the huge QR code, so no reason to read any details: I scheduled the payment as always and done.

Then in October, I received a notice from the Service des Automobiles that my car registration had been suspended, accompanied by a 200 CHF fine.

When I contacted AXA’s customer service, I encountered an agent who was unprofessional, untrained, and outright combative. After additional escallation via our business account, AXA admitted fault, agreed to waive the late fee, and initially promised to cover the 200 CHF fine. However, they later reversed their position, refusing to pay the fine caused entirely by their mistake.

As COO of my company, I’ve documented all corporate and personal policies with AXA, including cancellation dates. Starting next October, I will be transitioning all our AXA insurance needs to a provider that values professionalism and accountability.

Consider this experience a warning—AXA’s service and follow-through are far below expectations.

Dreadful customer service... stay away.

I've had a Home Insurance policy for many years, but strangely, when I log into MyAxa, it isn't shown.

My, err, sales rep, is a dreadful woman. I started having an appointment with her on 30/7/24, but then realised, this is nothing more than a one-hour sales pitch and PowerPoint slides. I told her I was satisfied with my current policy and didn't want to change it, and firmly but politely ended the call.

She then emailed me a copy of my policy and I found out that it still had the address of my OLD property on it. I'm paying for Home Insurance for a house I haven't lived at for 8 years !!!

Despite numerous emails, she refuses to update this policy unless I suffer another sales-pitch appointment with her. I refuse. I just want my existing policy's address to be updated... but she refuses to do this.

I have sent a complaint letter, but for the rest of you...

STAY AWAY FROM AXA.

They are dreadful.

I don't recommend them

I don't recommend them. They don't answer the phone (been waiting 40 mins for them to pick up).

They require action to verify my details only online) but their website does not work properly so that's impossible. I tried with several devices and different browsers. Very annoying.

Avoid like the pest

Avoid like the pest. Almost criminal in their negligence and dirty tricks. Had a home insurance. Every time I moved, I informed Axa about the change of address. Always got a confirmation. But now 4 years later it turns out, the address of the insurance policy was never changed, just the 'postal address"?! So basically I paid for 4 years, but the insurance would not have covered anything, because it wasn't the address of the policy. Also with every move, I received a new policy either with a higher premium (although the apartment was smaller and I had the same stuff) or instead of of a one year contract, they tried to sneak in a 6 year fixed contract (without informing me or without a discount). So I dramatically overpaid and the insurance wouldn't have been valid anyway..All due to half-criminal incompetence of AXA. I am sure this is intentional, just to squeeze out more money. Customer service is lazy at best. Mostly sending back contracts with incorrect info or trying to trick you. They claim it is my responsibility to check the contract. I DID! and I wrote back but nothing is changed. DO NOT use this insurance.

Here you can apply for an installment!

Here you can apply for an installment plan. Please note that paying by installments incurs a fee. The fees are for one installment CHF 15.00, CHF 30.00 for two installments, CHF 40.00 for three installments and CHF 50.00 from the fourth installments.
In every case there is an additional interest rate of 5%, starting from the due date of the invoice.

I had an AXA household and civil…

I had an AXA household and civil liability insurance when I moved from Geneva canton to Vaud Canton. I was covered against natural elements and fire. On ECA's demand, I requested AXA through their customer service WhatsApp for a change of address. I was redirected to an agency in Geneva, and a particular woman as my AXA contact. After I emailed her, she called me and asked me the size of my new apartment and whether it was on the ground floor, then proposed a new policy. I told her I didn't want a new or different policy I only wanted a change of address. She responded that it was not a different policy but I would need to sign a new policy due to the changes in size, which would also affect the price. Soon after I received the proposal in MyAXA portal, where I signed it without reading it because I had been assured that it was he same document as before. The next day I received my new policy documents via email. Reading through I realized that this woman had not only signed me up to a different policy, but it also did not cover me against fire and natural elements. I called her immediately and she insisted that was covered. After our phone conversation she repeated on email that although it was a different cover, I was protected against fire and natural elements. I forwarded the policy to ECA who immediately responded confirming that I was not covered against fire. Since last week Wednesday I have reported to customer service the weird, unprofessional, dishonest exchange I've had with the agent. The response is always "Thank you for your feedback. We have forwarded your request to the responsible agency for processing. Best regards, XXXX"
I am now obliged to take up additional insurance to cover me against fire. If the rules in Switzerland did not inhibit termination of insurance contracts before their expiry, I would get my insurance from somewhere else. This is the second engagement I have had with an AXA agent and they are predatory.
I bought my initial policy online with no human assistance or contact. That went smoothly. My experience with the AXA staff has left me full of mistrust justifiably. They are only interested in making sales, screw the client. Well, this client is done with them. I'm not having anything to do with them anymore and I can't wait for this contract to expire so that I may be rid of this conmen.
