Very simple and easy

Very easy to set up. Easy to use.

Early on only, and things can change, but so far I would v much recommend this for any sole trader or landlord with simple finances looking for a simple, easy to use solution for MTD. I have looked at others and been overwhelmed by the platform and jargon and options. This one is just what I need, nothing more or less. A relief to have found it. Currently it is free. Pay from April 2027.

Does what it says on the tin and connects perfectly to HMRC. The price is right too

Excellent and easy software . Good Price after 1 year free. Other MTD software tried to sell two subscriptions for self employed and property.!

Easy to use. self explanatory.

I used this as a private landlord. Simple to set up, easy to use, fast to get results and combined with your agentic AI of choice to populate the required transactions into a spreadsheet there really is no reason not to use it. That is before we get to the great value compared to other platforms taking advantage of the MTD rush.

Chose Affordable MTD as they are upfront with cost.
Their template is useable to submit the very few figures HMRC require.

I'm really chuffed with just how simple this package is. It's helped me get through the first MTD submission and I'm feeling confident about going forward. I like the way you can save your progress and go back to it. It's very easy to use and practical for non tech people like me with simple accounts.

After the initial registration and understanding how the link works with HMRC it was a relatively easy process. What would be helpful is the categories to be explained before you start entering the expenses. Also has slight mismatch between my private spreadsheet totals and what was shown on MTD by a few pence which was difficult to analyse and wondered whether it’s the rounding up of their figures were different to actual costs that I had entered as per instructions.

Looked at alternatives and this is both affordable and relatively easy to use. Just dont add symbols or headings in your spreadsheets. The csv xls upload makes it quick once we get the hang of it.

I actually tried 4 other free software providers but they either could not bridge from my spreadsheet or left out essential expenses. There was a similar issue here too but they gave me a super simple easy manual option which I used to submit successfully. That’s why i am rating 4 stars also because they required my credit card to give me advice I already knew.

I left a review earlier this week, querying whether Jason was an ai chap or human being. He is a human being. I don’t want to be harsh about this company who are trying to offer a solution to the wretched Make Tax Digital campaign by HMRC, at a very decent price and without demanding advanced accounting skills. They largely succeed, but I wonder whether a ‘user group’ might be helpful. Give them a try. I am now using them.
