You learn so much about the nervous system and how the body and brain works. You get really good exersices, and i felt improvement in my health already after two weeks. The course is absolutely amazing.
This course is a game-changer for people with ME/CFS, Long Covid, and other nervous system issues.
I've gone from moderate ME/CFS (confirmed by 2 specialists) to mild ME/CFS, and am well on my way to recovering. I was couch-bound and bed-bound, and could only shower 3 times a week. I couldn't get dressed. Now I can drive short distances, go to social events, shower, get dressed, cook, work on a computer, etc.
The course explains WHY I fell sick, what's KEEPING me sick, and HOW to get better. I'm not afraid of PEM anymore because now I understand what it means, how to avoid it, and which tools to use to get out of it.
The group calls are FANTASTIC. There's a positive community, and any time I have a question, one of the coaches gives me hands-on, practical advice that actually works!
After 35 years with migraines, I HAVEN'T HAD A MIGRAINE IN 3 MONTHS! And when I do feel the start of a migraine coming up, I quickly use the techniques, and the migraine dissolves. I swear it's mind-blowing! I wish I had known about all this years ago.
I have CFS and after two months in recovery school my fatigue had significantly worsened rather than improving. I think a lot of the theory behind the programme is good but you get a very limited amount of support, there are 50+ people in the weekly zoom so not everyone can speak and the tutors don't really know your individual case (it's always ex-students running them, not Miguel or junior), and there's no one checking that you've understood the materials properly and are implementing them correctly so it can be a pretty dangerous approach I think. The posts in the group show a lot of students in and out of PEM constantly, and this is encouraged in the group and called adjustment periods and something people are proud of as we're told its part of recovery. I can see how gradually expanding activity can be a good thing, but without one to one guidance it's too easy to get this wrong and push yourself too far and do yourself more harm than good. Course materials are very limited (in recovery school you get a 7 day intro course, the 30 day course is only available in the academy) and for me a lot of it was guess work or watching the YouTube channel. I understand there is a more expensive program available too called CFS Academy for a couple hundred dollars more a month which has more group zooms, but again no one on one support with a tutor who knows your individual case. If you've severe and have been bed bound for months then I think you might benefit from the program as you can gradually build up slowly as advised whilst not learning to fear symptoms, but for those of us who have overdone things for years and have difficulty limiting our activity or knowing how much is too much, then I wouldn't recommend it as the program is unclear and it's too easy to get things wrong and make your health a lot worse like I did. So overall I would not recommend the CFS recovery program sorry.

A wonderful recovery program, with one area for improvement
I genuinely love CFS Recovery Academy and have found the program incredibly helpful in my recovery journey. I appreciate the knowledge, compassion, dedication, and support of the coaches, and I am truly grateful for everything I have learned through the program.
One of the things I particularly value is the opportunity for participants to open up about their personal lives and experiences during group calls. However, there was one experience that left me feeling disappointed.
During a group call, I wanted to share a painful experience involving racism and discrimination from my neighbor. While other participants often share quite detailed personal stories, I was interrupted by the coach and asked to wrap up and get to the main point.
I understand that coaches need to manage time and keep discussions focused, and I don't believe there was necessarily any negative intention behind this. Nevertheless, in that moment, I felt unheard and that my experience was not given the same space as others'.
For people navigating chronic illness alongside experiences of migration, discrimination, or social isolation, having the opportunity to feel heard and understood can be particularly meaningful.
I hope the program continues to create space for different kinds of personal struggles and remains mindful of how interruptions may affect participants when they are sharing something vulnerable.
Despite this experience, I remain deeply appreciative of CFS Recovery Academy and its coaches. The program has made a meaningful difference in my life, and I would still recommend it. I share this feedback precisely because I value the program and want it to be as inclusive and supportive as possible.
Finding hope and enjoying parts of life again
I’ve been living with ME/CFS since December 2022 and was later diagnosed with fibromyalgia. As a creative person running my own business, having such limited energy and dealing with pain has affected so many parts of my life.
Since starting CFS Recovery, I’ve noticed meaningful changes. I’m learning to approach difficult days with less fear, listen to my body and recognise progress that I might previously have overlooked.
Some of my biggest wins have been things that once felt so far away: showering without needing my stool, going for walks, completing a work deadline with breaks, and spending time with friends feeling comfortable and happy. Recently, I even attended an event and enjoyed getting dressed up and being out with people again. These moments mean so much to me.
I haven’t finished the programme yet, so I’m sharing my experience so far. I still experience fatigue and difficult days, and activities can leave me exhausted. I’m not fully recovered, but I’m noticing meaningful progress and beginning to enjoy parts of life again as I continue through the programme.
I’m grateful for what I’ve gained so far, particularly the tools to navigate difficult moments and the renewed sense of hope. 💜
I already went from maximum 5 min walking to being able to play 30 min tennis. This program is different from others, the neuroplastic approach combined with a super supporting community is what finally started giving me my life back. I greatly appreciate Miguel and all his great coaches!
I feel like anyone could benefit from this program no matter what they're going through.
And no matter what type of personality you have there's something for everyone.
I am definitely glad to be in it and continuing on with it. Here's more to come!
It was the best experience I’ve ever had with the coaches. I finally recovered after almost 4 years of ME/CFS. If you struggle with this, just do it and sign up! It will change you’re LIFE! From a Surviver to a THRIVING HEALTH!! 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽♥️♥️✨✨✨
I'd be lost without them. It's no exaggeration to say this program may have saved my life. I finally feel like I have a comprehensive understanding of what's going on with me and my nervous system that tens of thousands of dollars and dozens of doctors couldn't have given me. Extremely grateful to be here.
This program has truly changed my life not only by giving me my health back but by also changing my perception of life! My recovery is a slower one which is hard at times but i'm learning that it doesn't matter it is all worth it! There is real hope and I am forever grateful!
So I've just been with the CFS Recovery School for a little over a week. I bought the membership, and while the content itself has been great, there is a major issue with what was promised versus what is delivered.
When I purchased the membership, it stated I would get access to 50 hours of learning videos. However, I only have access to 10 videos, which is way less than 50 hours and makes no sense. It really isn't fair.
Because of this, I would not recommend the CFS Recovery School membership to anyone else. Of course you get the Q&A meetings, but I still wouldn't say it's worth the price. They definitely need to adjust the system so members actually get the full access to the learning videos they paid for.

This community is amazing! I will be forever grateful for the things I have learned and the people I have met here. I am genuinely grateful to be living my life again with very few symptoms now and I have zero doubt that full recovery is happening for me. The tools and concepts being taught are things that I will carry through the rest of my life and hope to pass on to my children as well. Thank you!

I’m so grateful to have come across this program through Miguels YouTube content. There’s so much to offer, and all the coaches are so dedicated to helping people that it never ceases to impress me.
You’re no longer on your own—you get all this great support and guidance.
I always say: it’s worth every penny.
Now there are so many options—whether you do the annual program, pay monthly, or just participate on a very small scale. Not to mention all the free YouTube content and the Facebook group. I feel like Miguel really talks about everything I’ve experienced with this illness, and his explanations finally helped me understand it. So many videos addressed exactly the symptoms I had or the challenges I faced with the illness. That really helped me a lot, so I eventually joined the program and am no longer struggling alone without a plan. I’ll be forever grateful to CFS Recovery and its amazing coaches.

My journey has been long, and I’ve tried other programs before joining CFS Recovery, but I feel this one has made the biggest impact on me. Among many other things, I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia, but at some point, I stopped going to doctors. Since I wasn’t a member of any CFS communities, I had no idea how to deal with PEM. The other brain rewiring programs I did before helped me get out of the trenches, and I learned some valuable things in them that aren’t covered in detail here. However, it’s only here that I’m learning how to expand activity in a more sustainable way. I have more clarity about what I’m doing right or wrong. The biggest challenge is applying it! I love that Miguel’s program doesn’t feel like a chore, and is really simple to follow. No more unnecessary pressure!
I’m currently in the CFS Recovery School, but I also tried the Academy for a while. Both communities are great, but the Academy is much more lively, and you can learn a lot from fellow Thrivers. I love the positive and supportive vibe from the community, the admin team, and the coaches—who are so patient, full of empathy and wisdom, and walking proof that recovery is possible. Since joining the program, I’ve made a lot of progress. I feel more regulated, my symptoms are lessening, and I’m slowly reintegrating back into life.
Thank you, Miguel and the team, for this amazing program and the community that you’ve created!

This is a really great program- brilliantly structured, really- that has helped me to fully optimize my recovery from long covid.
Anyone can learn about the concepts and principles for free, and it’s not necessary to pay for a program to recover. I decided to try things on my own after doing a free trial of Academy, and after a couple weeks I realized how much paying for more support and guidance on actually implementing all the concepts would really help streamline things, and signed up for Platinum.
It has been a great experience and I’m so glad I did it. I ended up progressing on the faster side, and I credit the program with giving me the tools and support to help. The coaches are amazing and have given great answers to all of my many questions.
Not everyone’s recovery timeline will look the same, but seeing the progress of everyone at different stages over several months on group calls has made it clear what a difference the program makes for everyone.

Today I am 11 weeks in the CFS Recovery program. When I started I had already put a ton of work in myself, I was independent in my home again and working full time in a demanding job. I realized I couldn’t get myself the rest of the way to fully thriving again alone. While I am successful in my job, it took every ounce of capacity. I spent evenings and weekends recovering to be able to show up again on Monday. I was functional but barely.
The reason I chose this program was for the personalized 1 on 1 coach support and the amazing community. My expectations thus far have been exceeded on both accounts as well as with the consistency in messaging on the protocols within the program.
I have spent most of my time with a focus on supporting my nervous system to trust that while work is important it’s not an emergency for which we have to brace, slowing down overall and lessening urgency. I’ve been nudging, handling symptoms well, pulling back as needed but generally comfortable with taking them with me. While I’m in these repeated adjustment cycles that are part of the recovery protocol, I’ve experienced very real gains that I hadn't been able to do since becoming acutely sick.
To name a few:
- Being able to be more social again; having lunch and dinner with friends; catching up with neighbors for 30+ mins
- Ability to walk in my neighborhood without fear for 30+mins multiple times a day
- Running errands alone - several in a row and driving myself again!
- Workout snacks building up my capacity again - started with just 5 mins and now at 20 min full body with weights 3X a week
- I'm making plans on weekends and not spending every second resting, I can do farmers markets, lunches, college football all with capacity I've never had before
- The biggest one of all, I'm off work for a week and this is the first time in YEARS that I've enjoyed my time off and didn't have to spend the entirety of it resting/recovering to go back to work
I am not recovered yet but I am closer than I ever have been and am confident that I will get there. In the meantime, I AM expanding, I DO trust my body and nervous system more and I HAVE the tools to cope on good and not so good days. Best of all I have the solution oriented community of amazing thrivers and coaches to keep me on the right path to becoming the strongest and healthiest NEW version of myself.

CFS Recovery has given me hope after trying nearly every other program out there! I joined in April, and the coaching team is incredible. I have had a lot of additional stress these past few months, including the death of my mom, and they have been so supportive. Even amidst the challenges, I’ve already increased my physical and emotional capacity and can now play so much more with my little girl. I’m so grateful to be on track to full recovery!

I have been on the CFS Recovery program since March 2026. So far my experience has been very positive. I'm using their Platinum program which includes having a coach - on demand-sort of speak. When I had the first call to join the program, I was still in the hospital. Since the first interaction I felt heard and coached. CFS was not new to me, as I had been dealing with it off and on for about 2 decades. And through it all, having this feeling that my life is going by the side lines, and feeling like a passenger unable to take the driver's seat. After applying the principles they teach, the help with my coach and other coaches in the weekly calls, I finally start to feel like I'm finding my way to living life. Recently while on a trip, I was able to drive a car a few times. Sometimes for as little as 10 min, but other times for about 40-45mins. This was such a milestone for me after not being able to drive for almost 20 years. Literally being in the driver seat was a big win. And that experience helped me gain momentum and keep going. The calls are very positive in the sense that everyone shares where they are at, including wins and questions. I come out feeling more optimistic about my own recovery and journey. My coach is the sweetest, she's cheerful, but also a great listener. For a long time I had been looking for a community where sharing my vulnerabilities and experience felt safe, especially wrt CFS and the symptoms that ramify from it. Knowing that others are going thru a similar journey feels less lonely, and we cheer and support each other through out our individual and collective journey. Thank you CFS Recovery for your help. 🙏🏽 🙏🏽
