Subject: Formal Complaint Regarding Reallocation of My Long-Used Mobile Number Without Proper Resolution
My name is Nitesh Kumar, and I had been using mobile number 76449482** continuously for almost the last 10 years. This number was extremely important to me, as it had been registered and shared across numerous official as well as personal platforms, accounts, contacts, and services.
Due to an unfortunate situation, there was a period when I was unable to use the number because I did not have access to a mobile phone and was not in a position to use the connection. Once my circumstances became normal, I made repeated attempts to reactivate and recover the same number. I contacted Jio Customer Support several times and also personally visited Jio offices on multiple occasions, requesting assistance in restoring my number.
Unfortunately, despite my repeated efforts and follow-ups, I was unable to get my number back due to what I experienced as an extremely poor and ineffective customer-service process.
I have now come to know that the same number has been allotted to another customer. This has caused me considerable distress and inconvenience because the number was associated with many of my official and personal records, accounts, contacts, and other important services.
I would also like to acknowledge that I made a mistake by porting this number from Airtel to Jio, believing that Jio would provide reliable service and support when required. However, my experience has been completely different.
I have raised this issue with Jio on several occasions, including through emails, but unfortunately, I did not receive any satisfactory response or resolution.
As a result of this experience, I have already discontinued Jio connections used by more than 30 people among my family and acquaintances, and I intend to continue moving away from Jio services. I understand that this may not significantly affect such a large organization, but for me, this is a matter of principle and customer trust.
I am not making this complaint simply out of anger. I am raising my voice because I believe that a customer who has used a number for nearly a decade deserves proper assistance, communication, and a fair opportunity to recover it when circumstances prevent temporary usage.
I strongly protest the way my case was handled and the lack of proper response from Jio despite my repeated attempts to seek help. I request Jio's senior management and grievance team to look into my case seriously, review the complete history of my requests and communications, and provide me with a proper explanation regarding why my long-used number could not be restored despite my repeated efforts.
I hope that my complaint will finally receive the attention and response that it deserves.
